I visited this dealership twice and dealt with Andy Lawrence who couldn't give me a straight-forward price. Between test drives my wife and I waited a long period of time because he was dealing with a Lawrence who couldn't give me a straight-forward price. Between test drives my wife and I waited a long period of time because he was dealing with another customer instead of referring me to someone else. I corresponded with Chris Peters via email who quoted me a price before freight and after rebates so the price looks as low as possible. I calculated their price by adding destination and the rebates I don't qualify for which is all of them and I still couldn't get them to confirm the price. My response from Chris was, "There's a reason for that" and I would have to come in to make a deal. What reason could there possibly be I don't know nor do I want to know. This dealership plays too many games. When you ask for a price of a car they ask you what your budget is. They might as well ask "How much you got?" After I finally showed them what a quote looks like and after seeing the price, Andy told me to buy it from there because they couldn't compete. Not half an hour later a sales manager calls me and tries to play the monthly payment game telling me my competitor's monthly payments are higher. I expressly stated I would pay cash for the car. I also agree with another reviewer that the positive reviews must be coming from the dealership itself. More

I was left waiting 2 times for over 20 minutes while my salesman left to work out prices with the manager. They said they could match the price I gave them but then they said they couldn't. the followup of emails after purchase was nill. at time of car pickup, we were handed the plugs which need to be installed. was told they would put them in when we came for the licence plastes. at that t of car pickup, we were handed the plugs which need to be installed. was told they would put them in when we came for the licence plastes. at that time there was a lot of in house bickering on serivce on sales on why they do this to them. also at time of pickup was give n a voucher to fill the gas tank up. we wanted to pickup on a saturday but then insisted i come on tuesday becuase it was slower. still waited 2 1/2 hrs for the car. at 2891 miles had to add 2 qts of oil. emailed them my concern. 48 hours later no response. The Sonata quickly became our choice as it exceeded our criteria. All that was left to do, was to discuss price. The results were that we decided to purchase and drive home a new Sonata. This is the first vehicle we have ever purchased that was not manufactured by a U.S. company. Quality of the product, the extensive warranty and the professionalism of the sales staff, particularly Mr. Lawrence, convinced us that we were making the right decision. I think the only issue that might have detracted from the entire experience was the building and lack of a showroom but I understand the company is building a new facility that will be opened in the near future. I brought the Sonata back the next week to have a remote start installed. The price was right and the work was completed even earlier than promised which I believe is a good indicator for future dealer support. More

Jim met us at the door introduced himself with a smile and a handshake which we thought was very professional. Jim could see that we was very distraught. Jim, at Freehold Hyundai was very companionate, and did everything he could to calm us down offering a beverage or anything else that would make us feel comfortable and stress free as possible. I told him that we went to the Hyundai dealership in Toms River before we decided to go to your dealership, Freehold Hyundai. The other Hyundai Dealership made us feel very uncomfortable and made us feel like we were nobody.We were there, at the Toms River Dealership approx 8 hrs and never met anyone but the salesman (who would have rather communicated via text then by phone or face to face). The finance Manager at the Toms River dealer that was working on our loan never introduced himself the whole time we were there. When we explained this to Jim he was friendly and very understanding about our situation. He didn’t judge us at all and that meant the world to us. He explained everything and didn’t “sugar coat” or promise something he couldn’t back up. He actually explained, on paper, step by step about what we needed for our loan. When we didn't understand something, he was very patient and explain step by step until we understood. The service we receive from Jim was impeccable. We actually felt like family when we were speaking to him. We also would want to commend Aaron Brown for his friendliness and professionalism. It meant a lot to us for Aaron to take the time to meet us outside when we were leaving to introduced himself even though we didn't purchase a car that day. Aaron was concerned about the service Jim gave us and if he answered all of the questions we had. We will definitely come back to your dealership to purchase our new car. This will be our 4th Hyundai.Our mistake was to go to the Toms River dealership before we went to yours. The salesman there made us feel like we were gum on the bottom of his shoe.He told my spouse on the phone that because he took so much time on trying to help us purchase a car he blamed us for losing 3 sales. It was the most horrible feeling; there are no words to express how unprofessional that dealership was. We just wanted to let you know, we had a great experience at your dealership and we will be back in the near future to purchase our new car. If we know of anyone that is in the market for a new car, we will highly recommend them to visit your dealership. Again, we cannot express how friendly Jim and Aaron were.
