The Sales experience was handled in an extremely professional manner by both Lawrence and Leon. The correction of some minor items requiring repair, handled by Ron, exceeded my expection. Scott came up right away to me offering his assistance. He was very polite and able to push for the sale. I did not purchase today but will be back soon to buy a new car. Freehold Hyundai was an absolute horrible experience. Our original consultant was Morris who was a nice guy, I had no problem with him... Once we were negotiating prices, Leon came along. What a nasty p Our original consultant was Morris who was a nice guy, I had no problem with him... Once we were negotiating prices, Leon came along. What a nasty personality he had. He didn't smile, he was very pompous & arrogant. Overall he was clearly not a nice person. His attitude made me get up and leave the office. Once I did, the sales manager worked with us & got us a deal. HOWEVER, once you purchase the car, they don't care to speak with you again at all. 6 days after I got my pre-owned 2011 Hyundai Sonata it didn't even start!!! I called Vlad the sales manager to see how he can help. He said it was the battery and to call roadside assistance. So I did just that, the assistance showed up looked at it, saw that it was NOT the battery and said there is nothing he can do and to take it back to Hyundai. So now I had to order a tow truck to take the car! In the meantime, 3 hours have gone by & I am trying to get a hold of Vlad to see how he can help me take care of this matter. Every time I called he would transfer the call, avoid helping me, & the receptionist (some young little girl) was even laughing over the phone because I was calling and NO ONE WAS RESPONDING! What kind of customer service is this??? I work in customer service for a huge & successful company - My JOB is customer service and I would NEVER leave a customer in question and not get back to them immediately. Every time the call was transferred to Vlad's voice mail box. I left him a voice mail & he never even returned my call. Once I called again and FINALLY got him to the phone, he was quiet... and I asked, "Did you get my voice mail?" His response was just "Ya..." The people at this dealership clearly don't know how to run a business or grow a relationship with clients "You Want It! You Got It! Phony snakes there - I will never recommend this place to anyone and I have a lot of clientele... I will make sure of it. More

MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE! "All preowned vehicles are subject to a $995 Internet Fee" & also "Must finance through dealer to receive Internet price." Seriously? I've seen probably 5 preowned vehicles are subject to a $995 Internet Fee" & also "Must finance through dealer to receive Internet price." Seriously? I've seen probably 50+ dealer sites in the last few months & this is the 1st time I've seen something like that....wow! so every (used) car actually costs $1000 more than the listed price. These are the type of sneaky tactics that keep people away. i 1st dealt w/ freehold hyundai in '04 when i purchased an '02 santa fe. That salesman dragged the sale out over DAYS. the biggest time consumer was his CONSTANT walking away for ungodly amounts of time. i was probably 1 of the lucky few. only because i walked in there saying i have $12000 cash (borrowed from dad), i need a decent car for $12000 out the door. i dont have a penny more. thankfully there wasnt much back & forth with the price and fees, etc. i paid them a visit about a month ago. not to buy anything...just to see if my family would be comfortable in an accent. they had NO used accents. but they had a used elantra, not what i asked for, not interested. had the PUSHIEST sales guy. made us sit in it, wouldnt shut up about it. all i kept sayin was i dont like it, its not what i want, its too big. its actually a beautiful car & i loved it, but we cant afford it. so i tried to say things that he just couldnt have a comeback for. (cant make me like it, cant change the size of it, etc.). just wanted to get the xxxx outta there. threw his card away immediately, otherwise i wish i could've put his name in here. i now know how important it is to read a name of who to avoid when going to a dealer. since then i've been to many other dealerships encountering pretty much only decent sales people. if you enjoy old school sneaky underhandedness and get a kick out of arguing it out, then this may be one of the last places left for you. i ran like the place was on fire & never returned. only reason i'm here now adding this review is that my friend found a car there and plans to go back with her dad. i went to the site to see the car she wants and was shocked to see that $995 internet fee. some things never change. I have not shopped for a car in quite a while...what a pleasant surprise! I explain to my salesman, Morris, what type of a used car I was looking for. Within 10 minutes, Morris had the perfect car for m pleasant surprise! I explain to my salesman, Morris, what type of a used car I was looking for. Within 10 minutes, Morris had the perfect car for me. He sold me the type of car I was looking for at a reasonable price, while being rather low-key, yet attentive and personable. Then because it is a busy dealership, Ralph came by to save me from waiting for one of the finance guys....he took care of the paperwork, instead of me having to wait around. I love Freehold Hyundai....Morris and Ralph---you made my car buying experience a very positive one!! Thank you. More
We were very pleased with Kevin as our sales rep. He was personable, he listened to what we wanted and helped us to stay within the payment range we wanted. He has followed up with us as well. There shou personable, he listened to what we wanted and helped us to stay within the payment range we wanted. He has followed up with us as well. There should be some work done with the time it takes to finance the vehicles. We were there for quite some time waiting to get into the finance office. In today's world there should be no reason to use carbon paper. More
Avoid this dealer like the plague. They will use unscrupous sales tactics and you have to force yourself out the door once you make contact with a salesmen. They will promises you things, double-te unscrupous sales tactics and you have to force yourself out the door once you make contact with a salesmen. They will promises you things, double-team you and make promises and then reneg on their promises. They give you one free oil cahnge. Lester-Glenn provides free oil changes for so long as you own or lease a Hyundai from them. Go to another dealer, like Circle Hyundai or Lester Gleenn and avoid an unpleasant experience at Freehold Hyundai. Trust me, I have had pleasant sales experiences with the other named dealers and do not work for either of them and have not relation to Hyundai- USA. Simply put, I own or lease three Hyundai cars in my family. More
