Rip off - $125 for diagnosis. Car still under warranty I own a Hyundai Sonata and 2 Lexus cars. Anytime you have or think you have an issue, all the dealers i have dealt with [ Honda, Toyota, Lexus etc ] I own a Hyundai Sonata and 2 Lexus cars. Anytime you have or think you have an issue, all the dealers i have dealt with [ Honda, Toyota, Lexus etc ] will look at the car and do a diagnosis without charging you. When my local mechanic [ I have a 2013 Sonata with 32 K miles ] told me the feeder oil pipe to the turbo was leaking, I took the car to Freehold Hyundai after making an appointment for 8:15 AM. First they did not look at the car for the whole day. Next day they look at the car and see no oil leak, but charged me $125 diagnosis fee. Hyundai dealers have a pretty bad reputation of not honoring warranty claims, but Freehold Hyundai goes one step further, they RIP you off to look to see if the car has an oil leak. That will be my last visit to Freehold Hyundai Service and the last Hyundai in my garage. While I was there, one of the service reps was dealing with an older gentleman sitting beside me. The rep was rude and would not listen to what the older gentleman had to say. After the rep left the gentleman was pretty upset - cause the rep would not listen to him. Hyundai has come a long way and make descent cars, but they dealerships and service etc are C grade. More
