Alice Harris is a friendly sales person, not pushy or in your face, but eager to help you find a car YOU want to buy, instead of one SHE wants to sell. The entire process took more than a week, mostly because we needed to be comfortable with shelling out that much money for a car, and the entire time she was patient with us, giving us the time to move to a final decision at our own pace. During the final negotiations, we dealt with Mort, and he was a nice guy, easy to talk to, and never really pressed us into a deal we would not feel comfortable with. I think the end result was a win-win, I think that is important in these situations. I will make Freedom Nissan my first stop for any new car purchases, and my first call will be to Alice Harris. I just purchased my third vehichle in the last three years from Freedom Nissan. I also have suggested it to other co-workers who would agree with my review. Staff is friendly, up front and honest years from Freedom Nissan. I also have suggested it to other co-workers who would agree with my review. Staff is friendly, up front and honest - what more can you want? Buying a car is a huge financial commitment and not an experience most people probably enjoy but buying one here is different. There are no harassing phone calls, no tough negotiating and overall its just a great environment to make a big decision like buying a car. More important to me is how we are treated after buying the car. Everytime I walk into this place for a simple oil change I am greeted by name by the service manager, Robert (sales person) and you always see Mort. Everyone goes out of the way to say "hi", "ask how the car is" etc... I work in the customer service business and I can tell you - I would be ecstatic if all of my employees conducted themselves the way the people at Freedom Nissan do. Jeremy Hinton More

I brought my Nissan Xterra in for a complete detail and am less than satisfied. This is the second time this has happened and I will not be returning nor will I be recommending Freedom Nissan! When I am less than satisfied. This is the second time this has happened and I will not be returning nor will I be recommending Freedom Nissan! When I picked-up my Xterra, I checked it over. After $219.95 for a Five Star Detail (complete inside and out), I found dirt still remained on my floor mats. I found dirt still stuck to the passenger side wall on the inside of the vehicle. I opened the door to look at the gas cap and it was filthy. It was clear that only the front seats were shampooed. There was left over polish on many surfaces (it was not completely applied). There was dust all over. The cracks and crevices still contained dust and dirt. The windshield was still dirty. The plastic cover over the speedometer was greasy. The tire hubcaps were not cleaned. It was simply unacceptable. When I dropped off the vehicle, I even told them to make sure it was complete because of the past issues I have had...unfortunately they did not pay attention to that detail either! This is the second vehicle I purchased from Freedom Nissan. I have used their service facility on many occasions and it seems I have had nothing but problems. I hate to complain but I feel it is important that others know these things happen. More

The character of any organization is defined AFTER the sale and not BEFORE it. I am a CPA and former CFO of a major company. But automobiles are my real passion. I have owned virtually every car and truck sale and not BEFORE it. I am a CPA and former CFO of a major company. But automobiles are my real passion. I have owned virtually every car and truck on the market over the last 50 years, and have dealt with as many dealerships and sales people. Normally, I wouldn't take the time to complain or criticize an organization. But Freedom Nissan in South Burlington, Vermont is an exception. I recently purchased a used Ford 150 truck and traded in an Acura. The price we negotiated was better than other dealers I visited. But what I found most impressive was how they conducted themselves AFTER we closed the deal. There were cosmetic and mechanical issues that were not evident while negotiating the purchase. These issues were presented to Mort Shapiro, the owner, Frank McLaughlin, the general manager, and Bill Higgins, the salesman. Immediately and without question the problems were not only resolved to my satisfaction, but management went far beyond expectations. Freedom's main objective was focused on customer satisfaction AFTER the purchase. This is what I found very refreshing. I was very impressed with their honesty, friendliness, and business ethics. And, by the way, the truck looks brand new and runs great. I will recommend Freedom Nissan in South Burlington, Vermont to anyone. Sincerely, Alfred J. Viscido More
Even thought the Nissan GT-R is a fairly expensive sports car, I felt that Mort Shapiro went to extra effort to making the purchase processa an easy and enjoyable experience. I purchased a used Jeep Grand Cherokee about 2 1/2 months ago. I also had to purchase an additional warranty. I never was given, or offered, the car fax report. I since obtained one myself and found that the ago. I also had to purchase an additional warranty. I never was given, or offered, the car fax report. I since obtained one myself and found that there were 2 owners before me - one had it for 9 months and the other for a little over a year. It makes me wonder why two people didnt' kepp the car long. The other day I took the car through a car wash and water poured in form three different places. Seeing as I needed an appointment for an oil change I asked to have this looked at. I was hearing alot of air sounds from the sun roof area, so suspected the water might be coming in there somewhere. I also asked them to look at my dashboard because it was rattling alot and to check out the transmission because there was an audible thunk when the car was downshifting. Keep in mind I only had this car for 2 1/2 months. The work was done on the water problem without notifying me - and of course it wasn't covered under the warranty. Supposedly they found that the seal around the windshield was corroded or rotted or something. The transmission problme of course wasn't covered either, so I told them not to do anything to it becasue I couldn't afford it. I explained I had only had this car for 2 1.2 months and now I was going to hav eto shell out over $600??? This is a 3 year old car with about 55,000 miles on it and it's having trnasmission problems already? Shouldn't some of these things have bee checked when the dealer fot the car. Doesn't Freedom Nissan back up their used vehicles. I was also told that the rattling I heard in the dashboard was form items in my glove box. It is NOT from items in my glove box - it is very definitely in the dashboard area. I know the difference. Obviously it wasn't taken for a test drive to see where the rattle was coming from. Nothing was done to ry and make this right. I don't expect to buy a used car - that was made ot look real nice on the outside, and have huge repirs two months after I get it! Prior to this I had to take it back twice becasue one of the backup lights didn't work and again because there was a noise under the car that sounded like pebbles rattling that I heard when accelerating up a hill - I was told this was from a shield or something that had rusted out - which they fixed at no cost, however the noise is still there. If the noise had been form the shield I would think I would have heard it all the time, not just when I was accelerating up a hill. My husband was going to purchase his next car from them, but neither of us will do business with this dealer again. While I do appreciate that they were able to get me into a car, even with my financial situation, I did not expect to be sold a car that is a lemon just to make the sale and try and make me feel good. You need to bakc up your cars. More
