‼️ DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE ‼️ This is my experience: I live in Denver Colorado, i was researching for a new/used car for my expanding family, came across a used chevy traverse that this de experience: I live in Denver Colorado, i was researching for a new/used car for my expanding family, came across a used chevy traverse that this dealership was going to receive, i flew into San Antonio march 7 and came down to the dealership March 8,2024. I called the dealership they said they had the car i went into test drive it they said they did a car inspection and everything was so called fine they needed to replace the tires so i did the paperwork and waited for them to finish and then i was off i purchased a used Chevy traverse. ( i also purchased the extended warranty for the used car the highest package they have as the sales guy kept saying how important it was to have in case anything was to happen) ( THAT RIGHT THERE SHOULD’VE BEEN A RED FLAG TO ME, but i was just excited to get home and take the car to my family as my wife was due a couple days later )the next day i was on my own back to Colorado, driving through texas i made a stop in Amarillo , Tx to put gas in the middle of the night and when j went to reverse my car jerked as if it was stuck in a gear and it wouldn’t reverse mind you its late at night in the middle of nowhere, i finally was able to get the car to drive forward and anywhere i stopped at i made sure i was able to drive forward and not need to reverse because my reverse gear wasn’t working ( i have videos of it not working) mind you it hasn’t even been 24hrs since i bought this car. I couldn’t call the dealership as it was nighttime, i made it to Colorado after 16hrs and the car still wouldn’t go into the reverse gear, when i arrived home i called the dealership they advised i get it taken into a chevy dealership so i got it towed to a chevy dealership here in Colorado the dealership i took it to said the car was never checked the fluids for the engine was horrible ( i have images proving how bad it was) they got in contact with Marcus from Freedom Chevrolet explained what happened Marcus said we needed a second opinion on this situation so we got it towed to another chevy dealership in Colorado they test drove it and heard and saw how hard it would shift whenever trying to go into reverse, so they called the dealership back at home and explained what happened and now the dealership back at home wants NO PART of paying and taking any responsibility for covering the cost of a new transmission they said call the extended warranty its been 2 months since we’ve purchased this car and we have yet had it, its been in the dealership since the day we brought it home we only had the car for 24hrs and since then we haven’t even had it. ( We also have documents showing the mileage they sold us the vehicle apparently had didn’t add up the Odometer read 89,616 mi when i purchased the car ( shows on paperwork) when i took it in the dealership in Colorado they did paperwork and the Odometer read 89,258. How is it possible on paper when i purchased the car my odometer was 360 mi over the mi it was showing the time I arrived in Colorado) We call daily to get an answer from Marcus on who is covering this and we keep getting a run around, i traveled states to purchase this vehicle and we are getting no help whatsoever, we know for a fact they didnt test the vehicle i bought i mean it shows when they even did the milage wrong on the paperwork More
Too long of a wait for an oil change, tire rotation, car wash, and inspection. Scheduled an appointment time at 9:30 and left service department at 2:00. Service personnel were professional and informative. Only complaint is not having them come to your vehicle when arriving as other dealerships do. Only complaint is not having them come to your vehicle when arriving as other dealerships do. More
First, let me say the Uber service they provide is a nice touch. Now for the bad part. Took car in for a 4 wheel alignment at 7:30 on 5/1/24. That's the only thing I can say went good. The transmission w touch. Now for the bad part. Took car in for a 4 wheel alignment at 7:30 on 5/1/24. That's the only thing I can say went good. The transmission was acting funny so I showed them a video of the instrument panel and what the trans. temp was doing, causing the car to shift from O.D to high gear by sending mixed signals to the PCM from trans. temp. sensor. I asked they diagnose and let me know what they find. Zero communication from them until 4:00 pm asking me to approve an $1,100 repair job through a text portal. Ok, not doing that. Got back to dealer and asked why they had the car all day and was barely getting me a diagnostics report 2 hours before they close. No satisfactory explanation for this. Told me they had the part in stock and could do tomorrow (5/2/24) Made arrangements to bring it in the next day and showed up at 7am, literally the 2nd car in. Dropped off vehicle and went to work. Zero communication all day again. Called the dealer around noon and asked for an update. Was told they were working on it and if it wasn't done I would get a loaner car to drive IF another customer brought it back in time. Called back at 3:30 and was told not only was it not done, no one had even started on it! They could not guarantee a loaner either and offered to Uber me home to which I asked if they would Uber me back to work the next day, to which they said no. I was fuming at this point and when I got back to the dealership, all of a sudden they had a car for me and someone was literally pulling my car to the back when I got there. The job was finally done around lunch time on 5/3/24. At the end of the day, I did get a loaner on 5/2, and they did do the work but the lack of communication and constant re-organizing my schedule to go back and forth to the dealer was not worth it. They didn't even offer to discount the work, like not even a little bit. When I went in to pick it up, they wouldn't even talk to me. The person who did take the payment did just that, no explanation of the work, no sorry it took so long, just took the money and said "Thanks". I had to ask for every little piece of information (i.e. diagnostic report, alignment report). Could not get a straight answer on what they actually did to the transmission aside from a line item description on the invoice. I think the people there (up front and in the shop) are good people and mean well, but perhaps they are overworked due to lack of employees, or there is something wrong with their process. I tend towards a process issue as it seems there are plenty of people. People really rely too much on tech these days to communicate when a simple phone call is all it takes. I don't want to believe they just don't care, but I'm not fully convinced. If I hadn't put up such a fuss, would they have had a car waiting for me when I got there? Don't know, but I somehow doubt it. Sad thing is I am in the market to trade this car in for a new one, but won't be going to Freedom Chevrolet to do it. They have literally taken my money, but I'm the one who ran. They need to offer me some type of reimbursement. If they can do that, I would consider doing business there again, but I'm not holding my breath. I would suggest you have your vehicles serviced elsewhere. More
I would give him a five for the actual visit but the problem is it took me 3 weeks to contact someone to find out where the parts were that were ordered problem is it took me 3 weeks to contact someone to find out where the parts were that were ordered More
Facility did noes not have enough employees, took 3 days to evaluate my vehicle. New method of text communication, POOR! Asked for update twice and did not get a complete answer to questions. Outrageous cha to evaluate my vehicle. New method of text communication, POOR! Asked for update twice and did not get a complete answer to questions. Outrageous charge for labor, extended warranty that was sold by same dealer did not cover full charges. Technician pencil whipped report recommended services, filter replacement and fuel injector cleaning. I already replaced filters and let them know via survey from last visit. Fuel injector should have been done before vehicle was sold again. When I asked why it was needed very rudely told because of your milage. I have only had car for 6 months. I never expected to pay close to $600.00 for a repair so soon. Asked for additional information (hours spent to evaluate). Service rider (Linda) did not know. Could not calculate cost, removing warranty allowance, plus discount. I asked because I needed to get full amount to get money from the bank. I picked up the vehicle the following morning, noticed stains on my car seat. I was late for work, so I took a picture and sent to service rider. I was extremely upset, this was her response "Hello mam I’ll ask tech see if he is aware of this seat being stained before hand!" It was a very busy day at work and had no time to follow up. I texted the next day and to this date no response. I will not be taking back my vehicle for service at this dealership. I do not trust this facility for any my vehicle service. More
