We bought our car as a certified used car. We have had the car , not the two years Mark stated we had it, but for 1 year, nine months. We developed a flat tire going over the Bay Bridge, AAA came and changed to our donut, but said we could not travel with it. We then went to AAA Care care Center, they took the tire off and found an Alan wrench and a pressure sensor inside. They said they had never seen this before, asked if we ever had our tire off the rim. We had not, we bought it at Frederick Ford, and had only had it serviced at Frederick Ford. They advised us to go back to Frederick Ford. We were met with only resistance from Steve and Mark. We were advised by Steve that our complaint should be with AAA, definitely do not understand that. I was told by Mark, the general manager, that they are in business to make a profit, and if they gave us any consideration, they would not make their profit. I would definitely not buy a car there again, their bottom line is not considering their loyal customers, but making their profit. More

Jeep purchase We went to Frederick Ford to see a used Jeep that they had advertised on Facebook Marketplace. We were greeted upon arrival by Andrew Hopkins. The J We went to Frederick Ford to see a used Jeep that they had advertised on Facebook Marketplace. We were greeted upon arrival by Andrew Hopkins. The Jeep wasn't on the lot because another customer had taken it home for a test ride. The folks at Frederick Ford were great about calling the other customer and going to pick up the Jeep so we could take it for a test drive and look it over. Everyone was very accommodating. We got to take a test drive and came back to the dealership and were able to make a deal to purchase the Jeep. Since it was a cash purchase, it was all taken care of very quickly. Overall a very positive experience, except for one thing that happened right near the end. Our only negative comment is that when making the deal, we made our offer and said we understood that taxes and tags would be extra. So they countered a bit higher and we still felt it was a good deal, so we took it. When we got to the Finance Manager's office to complete the paperwork and pay for the vehicle (cash sale), in addition to our agreed purchase price, and charges for taxes and tags, there was also a $500 administrative charge which we hadn't figured into our total. So that was a bit of a surprise. When the Finance Manager reviewed all the charges, she just quickly breezed over that additional $500. We know there needs to be some charge for the administrative side of things, but we felt that was excessive, and felt that someone should have mentioned that as part of the negotiation and finalization of the deal. Our perception is that the administrative charge at that amount perhaps allowed them to make up the extra money that they didn't put into the counter offer. Maybe that's just the way the car business goes. But based on the negotiations we had a certain amount figured as the total cost, and to go $500 above that is not insignificant. And because it was just sort of breezed over quickly, it left us feeling a little bit taken advantage of. Thus, we are only giving a three-star rating on price. More

Best in class service. After purchasing our new Black 2018 Ford Taurus SEL we had to have some minor warranty work done. The service manager Steve is very helpful he takes n After purchasing our new Black 2018 Ford Taurus SEL we had to have some minor warranty work done. The service manager Steve is very helpful he takes notes about every issue very thoroughly. He explains the repair process in detail and the estimated time frame for repairs. The warranty manager Kim is also very helpful in reviewing the issues. While in for service I had a chance to look at the many services offered one thing I noticed is there is a wide variety of services available. Another great thing is the knowledge and experience of the Ford Factory trained Technicians, so you can rest assured they will do the job right. We also had our car in the on site Body Shop Hertrich's Collision Center for some paintwork, hands down they do some of the best bodywork in the area, with very seasoned painters and body repair techs. So if you are looking for great service at a great price I would most definitely recommend Frederick Ford and the Hertrich's family of dealerships. Oh and that's the great thing about buying a car from Hertich's there are so many locations here on Delmarva. More
