Disrespect I went to the dealership with my father to browse the lot and see what they had that I might be interested in. Neither of us were interested at that t I went to the dealership with my father to browse the lot and see what they had that I might be interested in. Neither of us were interested at that time in talking to anyone. A woman came out and asked us if we needed a salesman, to which we replied "no." We were approached anyway by a young man, whose name I will withhold because, even though I am dissatisfied, I don't wish to hurt his business. My dad and I were annoyed to be bothered when we had already said we weren't interested in talking with anyone just yet. However, he began chatting with us, found what I might be interested in and led us to that part of the lot. He suggested we go in and I fill out a credit application to see where I might be as far as a loan. My father and I are both fairly certain that he did not even run my credit application, telling me that because of my hourly wage, I would not be approved for a loan, anywhere I went. He then suggested a cosigner, at which time, my father stated that he does not believe in cosigning. I knew this, I have known this for years, it is not an issue to me; it teaches me that I need to work for what I want instead of having it handed to me. At this point, the salesman proceeded to badger my father about his opinion regarding cosigning. The short answer is: none of your business, sir. That's it. Instead, he proceeded to question my dad for a large chunk of the time we were there. I appreciate him trying to help me out by trying to convince my father to cosign for me, but the way he went about it was beyond disrespectful and uncalled for. Remember how I was told that no one would ever approve me for a loan? Well, today I was approved, just one day after I was told this wouldn't be possible. Haha! In addition, when my father and I told my salesman that there would be no cosigning, he respectfully said "That's fine. Just so you know, cosigning is basically you saying 'I can vouch for my daughter, that she is a good kid and is responsible enough to pay the monthly payment. But if you are firm about not cosigning, here are our options. ..." He tried to help me out, while still being incredibly respectful of my dad's belief. Dear Fred Martin Superstore: THIS is how you do business. You respect your customer, AND anyone who may have come along with them for advisement purposes. I don't understand in what world this young man thought badgering and being rude to someone would convince them to cosign, but it certainly didn't work. I am now set up with a car, not from Fred Martin, and down the road when I need a car, I will not return to Fred Martin, either. More

Made online appt. showed up on time waited 2 hrs. problem not resolved was asked to come back on another day so they could look at issues more thoroughly so I said ok. Went back second time after taking a day off work and waited 2 hrs. was told they figured out the issue with wipers and it was covered by warranty. Gave me a ride home told they would need to order parts. Came back gave me rental car and then later in day called and said that issue was not fixed and the part needed was not covered under warranty would cost almost $600.00! REALLY? Not happy with outcome so I just went picked my truck up to take it somewhere else but still had to pay $100.00 fee! What a joke! More

We went in to look at a beautiful Jeep we had seen on line. We did not expect to purchase it, but the sales staff accomodated our every concern and made the deal happen. We couldn't be more pleased wit line. We did not expect to purchase it, but the sales staff accomodated our every concern and made the deal happen. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase or the way we were treated by the entire sales staff -from the sales people to the finance people to the service group. Every employee we passed on our way out with our new vehicle the next day greeted us and congratulated us as we walked by. Fred Martin's Superstore just earned our loyalty! More
My daughter was advised she qualified for a 7K-8K loan for a used car at the Barberton store. When I found a car at there Arlington store that I felt was better deal for the price and quality. She was adv for a used car at the Barberton store. When I found a car at there Arlington store that I felt was better deal for the price and quality. She was advised she would not qualify for this car even though the price was in the approved loan range. Even after several emails back and forth to the customer service I was advised they would look at it. I then received a call from the salesman (Eric). After talking to him for ten minutes I realized this was a bunch of BS about how the banks wouldn't approve this car since there wasn't retail value in it. Sorry I didn't fall off the truck yesterday. It is a Toyota that is according to them in excellent shape. Toyotas hold there value. I would venture to assume this is because they want to get rid of the cars on there Barberton lot since they had a flood there two weeks ago. Even though they claimed a 50% discount they are using the Bate and Switch and that 50% is an increase not a discount. Regardless of there reasoning. I find that it is time the public stop support habitual scam artist and find and demand for honest service.......... Sincerely Mr. Hartman More
Buying a car from Fred Martin was a very disappointing experience. To begin with, because my credit is not good, I was shuffled off to the shady looking building where the people with bad credit do not d experience. To begin with, because my credit is not good, I was shuffled off to the shady looking building where the people with bad credit do not deserve the same consideration as everyone else. I ending up buying a Dodge Durango after a process that took over 8 hours, during which I was never offered a snack or drink and I had my two small children with me. After the purchase, I had to bring the car back no more than 24 hours later because it had a bent rear axle that no one noticed during the big inspection that they do on used vehicles. I felt that it was implied by the service people I talked to that I had caused the damage. I found out later that the car had been in an accident that was never reported and it had a severely messed up exhaust system that no one noticed. I tried to see what they would do about any of my problem but, because too much time had passed, they wouldn't do anything. They were very rude about it and pretty much told me I was out of luck. I was told I would get a call from the sales manager to talk about trading in the car for a different one but my business must not be important to them because I never heard back. Overall I would never recommend buying a car here unless you are one of those people with perfect credit - maybe they get treated better than I was. I ended up trading in the Durango at Serpetini in Orrville. That is a dealership that knows how to treat their customers like real people and not just numbers! More
