My daughter was advised she qualified for a 7K-8K loan for a used car at the Barberton store. When I found a car at there Arlington store that I felt was better deal for the price and quality. She was adv for a used car at the Barberton store. When I found a car at there Arlington store that I felt was better deal for the price and quality. She was advised she would not qualify for this car even though the price was in the approved loan range. Even after several emails back and forth to the customer service I was advised they would look at it. I then received a call from the salesman (Eric). After talking to him for ten minutes I realized this was a bunch of BS about how the banks wouldn't approve this car since there wasn't retail value in it. Sorry I didn't fall off the truck yesterday. It is a Toyota that is according to them in excellent shape. Toyotas hold there value. I would venture to assume this is because they want to get rid of the cars on there Barberton lot since they had a flood there two weeks ago. Even though they claimed a 50% discount they are using the Bate and Switch and that 50% is an increase not a discount. Regardless of there reasoning. I find that it is time the public stop support habitual scam artist and find and demand for honest service.......... Sincerely Mr. Hartman More
Buying a car from Fred Martin was a very disappointing experience. To begin with, because my credit is not good, I was shuffled off to the shady looking building where the people with bad credit do not d experience. To begin with, because my credit is not good, I was shuffled off to the shady looking building where the people with bad credit do not deserve the same consideration as everyone else. I ending up buying a Dodge Durango after a process that took over 8 hours, during which I was never offered a snack or drink and I had my two small children with me. After the purchase, I had to bring the car back no more than 24 hours later because it had a bent rear axle that no one noticed during the big inspection that they do on used vehicles. I felt that it was implied by the service people I talked to that I had caused the damage. I found out later that the car had been in an accident that was never reported and it had a severely messed up exhaust system that no one noticed. I tried to see what they would do about any of my problem but, because too much time had passed, they wouldn't do anything. They were very rude about it and pretty much told me I was out of luck. I was told I would get a call from the sales manager to talk about trading in the car for a different one but my business must not be important to them because I never heard back. Overall I would never recommend buying a car here unless you are one of those people with perfect credit - maybe they get treated better than I was. I ended up trading in the Durango at Serpetini in Orrville. That is a dealership that knows how to treat their customers like real people and not just numbers! More

First, I have never written a review about a company on the internet before. Second, I would not be writing this review if I didn't feel that it would benefit future prospective buyers at Fred Martin's Sup the internet before. Second, I would not be writing this review if I didn't feel that it would benefit future prospective buyers at Fred Martin's Superstore. But after finding the vehicle I had been searching for listed on their website, I called the store twice during the day to be sure that the vehicle was still available before I went to see it. I called once at 11 AM and was assured that it was still in inventory and told them I would be over later that day to look at it. And then just before leaving to go see it I called again at 7 PM and the person I talked to identified himself as John Martin (It could have been anyone I actually spoke to, but that was the name that I was given and I wrote it down for future reference) and he again assured me the the vehicle was still in inventory and on the lot and I could come see it that same night. I ask him if he was sure I could see it because I lived about an hour away from their location and he assured me I could. So, with checkbook in hand and every intention of purchasing the vehicle I embarked on a 128 mile round trip. Once I got to there, I was informed that the vehicle had actually been sold... THE DAY BEFORE!! As I sat there with the salesman who told me this, I considered that I may have been intentionally hooked into driving 64 miles to the store to purchase the vehicle of my choice that had actually been sold the day before. I can understand them making one mistake about their inventory, but I purposely heeded their verbal caution about calling before I visited to make sure the vehicle was still in inventory because “their inventory changes daily”... and I did call... TWICE to make sure. It may have been a classic case of “bait and switch”, or maybe just TWO cases of inept sales people not understanding how to read their own inventory reports. Or maybe it was one of the dozen sales people I saw in the showroom when I got their, standing around with nothing to do, who was hungry for a sale and figured that if I made the hour drive to get there, they could sell me something... even if it wasn't the vehicle I wanted. Whatever the case, it was surely wasn't good business practice, no matter how you look at it. So, to anyone looking for a vehicle from here TRIPLE CHECK before you make the drive. More
Fred Martin Superstore screws you. 6 Months ago I financed a car through them and had a 2 year power train warranty, well a week ago I took it in to be checked out by Fred Martin and what do you know financed a car through them and had a 2 year power train warranty, well a week ago I took it in to be checked out by Fred Martin and what do you know, the engine and transmission was bad. They told me that the car cost too much to fix so they totaled the car out and told me that I had to pay $2800. I had already paid $2,600 dollars into the car and always made my payments on time. They screwed me out of over $5,000 just a week before Christmas. They screwed out of a car and wasn't even willing to give me anything off on another car. They wanted me to have money down to get a decent car. They made it so that I am behind on my bills because I had to go to another dealership and refinance another car and put money down. Isn't that sad? More
