I went in with a mindset of thinking all car dealerships and salesmen can be a bit pushy, but I did not feel this way at all with any of the people I came in contact with at Fred Haas Toyota. Joe Salazar really went above and beyond to help find the exact car I was looking for, with the features I wanted and I never once felt rushed or pressured. Such a great experience and I am so happy with my purchase! More

He was able to intercept a vehicle slotted for delivery to another dealer and went out of his way to tweak a few of the port options to my liking as well. Super nice guy with no intimidation/stress tactics you sometimes have to put up with when buying a car. I would absolutely recommend him and Fred Haas to anyone looking for a new Toyota. More

Miguel Garcia (in finance) is full of s*** Went to the dealership to do some test drives. Found a car we liked and were quoted a price. It was very competitive; no other dealerships could come within a few hundred dollars with comparable vehicles. Put down a downpayment to hold the vehicle while we secured financing through our credit union. When we returned to complete the transaction, we were handed a "Credit Application". The saleswoman knew we were coming in with outside financing. She even noted it on the price sheet she gave us to get our loan. I questioned why we were filling out a credit application and was told it was being used for the OFAC check (making sure buyers aren't on a government sanctions list). This was a lie. Our SSN is not required for OFAC. I was assured that they would not pull our credit, and if they did, it was a soft pull (i.e. no effect on your credit score). They were aware that we had secured our own financing. While waiting in the lobby for the finance guy, I get notifications on my phone from the credit bureaus saying that Fred Haas Totota Country has done a hard pull on our credit. Irate, I found Miguel and asked him xxx? He said it wasn't him, and that maybe sales had pulled it. He insisted that it wasn't a hard pull as they weren't sending the reports to banks. Either he is too stupid to understand how credit reports work or intentional devious in his attempts to shed responsibility for his mistake. It was clear that he was pulling our scores in an effort to provide alternative financing through the dealership, contrary to our intentions and the promises made by the sales team. Instead, he claimed it was part of OFAC (it's not). When we called xx on that, he said it was "dealership policy". "We can't just release a vehicle to a person with bad credit, so we have to check." Um, excuse me? Why does the individual's credit matter when they have already secured the financing from a bank/credit union? Once you've been paid from the bank, if that person defaults, it's a liability to the bank/credit union, not the dealership. Also, how many people put $11K down on a $29K vehicle and proceed to default? I'm guessing <0.1%, but I digress. Miguel then says that they could have not run our credit and then waited to release the vehicle until after the check cleared. We would have been perfectly content with that if that option was presented to us. We were in no rush to take ownership that day if the transaction needed to be delayed for completion. Instead, we found out our option only after the credit was pulled (which will remain on our report for another 2 years after this transaction). Miguel lived up to the reputation of dealership finance guys. I'm glad I secured financing with my own credit union. I've lost the trust of this dealership and I'm more than a little disappointed in our saleperson, Ashley Reeder, for allowing this to taint our otherwise pleasant transaction More
