We worked with the guy named Palomera in finance department. He was not honest with us at all and tried to rip us off. The purchase price we agreed at the beginning with the salesman was 31k. Before department. He was not honest with us at all and tried to rip us off. The purchase price we agreed at the beginning with the salesman was 31k. Before signing the financed contract, that guy persuaded us to buy the windshield protection and pay extra $5 per month. That was what we understood from what he said and that's why we go with the windshield. We thought it's like some kind of service. Looking at the contract now, he added that as an add-on accessory $2795 which make the purchase price goes up, total $34,296, plus sales tax it is now $36,410. It is too high compared with our plan and he said we can't cancel it. We feel like he tricked us with his words. Why didn't he tell us about the final purchase price will go up because that $5 will come with interest? It's out first experience with Fred Haas and I don't think I will come back here ever again. My wife was recommended to go to “J***y, good, nice and honest salesman.” He was great from the beginning. She has such good faith to put down the deposit with repeated assurances from him that we will n honest salesman.” He was great from the beginning. She has such good faith to put down the deposit with repeated assurances from him that we will not pay anything more than MSRP, plus TT&L. Mistake #1, we didn’t get that in writing. I, too, unfortunately fell into the same wagon, thinking “what could go wrong? We’re paying full price for the car!” Mistake #2, trusting a car salesman or a finance guy. We had good communication with J***y who sent us a copy of the options which came with the car and the price for the car. We trusted him and moved forward with the purchase. A few days after receiving out car, we accidently discovered the window sticker in our glove compartment which we failed to exam. It shows $1590 less than what we paid. That means the dealer charged us $1590 more than the MSPR. Where does this money go? We quickly look into the USB drive which the M****n, our financial person at dealer provided for us. Within the USB are supposedly contains all the signed documents and paper work for the car. Well, it was empty. Now we’re really curious and have no idea the extra $1590 go. A phone call later, we realized there is another document hidden in the compartment box, $695 for the scratch protection package and $895 for window tint. We are unaware of the two charges which we did not requested nor they listed on the sale quote and purchase items J***y provided us. The car came with the rear privacy glasses. So it seems the only tint completed were the fronts. Further, the sticker price tag indicated that we already paid for the vehicle protection package for $399. Still not sure what is the “scratch protection package” is. What a scam! Thinking back on our meeting with the M****n, I was curious on one piece of paper which was the MSPR and questioned him where the price was lower than our sale buyer order, he said “don’t look at that, this is your purchase price,” pointing at the sale order. All makes sense now. We got scammed. More

The short version: 10/10, would recommend. Mike was awesome. He was straightforward, honest, and quick to get to the point. No headaches, no sales pressure, no beating around the bush. Plus he Mike was awesome. He was straightforward, honest, and quick to get to the point. No headaches, no sales pressure, no beating around the bush. Plus he kind of looks like iron man, and buying a car from iron man just sounds like a cool story to tell your kids. The long version: My wife and I had been praying to find a good, used family vehicle within our price range. In this market, that's something that proved very hard to come by. Having been looking for months, we were just waiting for the used car market to move in our favor, so at the suggestion of my wife one night, I did a quick search to see if a RAV4 within our price range was available anywhere in the country. I had 4 results - one of those results was here in Texas, at Fred Haas Toyota World. Living in Dallas, it was the closest option, so I called the dealership. I spoke to Mike Hogan, who then texted me his business card and took some fresh pictures of the car for me, and voluntarily provided information about minor damages. I knew right away he wasn't the type to BS me, and after my experiences with local dealerships and a hellish nightmare at Autonation, I was impressed with Mike's professional yet friendly service and I felt like this was a good opportunity. My wife and I decided to make the drive down a couple days later, so I put a deposit on the car to hold it until then. I texted Mike our ETA when we left, and when we got to Fred Haas Toyota World, Mike had already detailed the car and was awaiting our arrival. He had us take it out for a test drive, and my wife and I decided we liked it, and the price was already so low. We told Mike we wanted the car, and we were able to get the paperwork signed and walk out the door keys in hand, all within an hour from arriving at the dealership. I can't praise this whole experience enough. If you know what you want, just tell Mike, and he will do all he can to get you out the door in a ride you will be truly content with. We bought this car last month and we are loving it. Our plates just came in last week. There's really no downside or 'cons' to our experience, and I'm confident you'll have an experience close to ours if you ask for Mike Hogan. More
