Brought my car in for a transmission problem which was just replaced 4 months ago. I brought in pictures of the transmission light coming on for it being overheated. This occurred on multiple occasions so just replaced 4 months ago. I brought in pictures of the transmission light coming on for it being overheated. This occurred on multiple occasions so I took a picture each time. On top of the overheating the transmission isn’t shifting right. When I brought it in I was immediately told “well transmissions take longer to diagnose so it will be a while before we get to it” because they were shorthanded. 49 minutes later they came and got me because they couldn’t duplicate the problem with the over heating not the shifting. Almost immediately after starting the test drive it was shifting hard. The technician said he felt it too and thought something was wrong with it. I returned to the waiting room and 30 minutes later they came and got me and said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it so they will have to charge me 125.00. Well that’s not happening and I asked why they couldn’t find anything wrong with it since the tech said he felt it shifting hard and I brought in pictures of the dash pane showing the trans temp light on with the mileage and the speed and tach odometers functioning. They came back with a attitude and said dodge won’t do anything with pictures and since it didn’t overheat on them they couldn’t do anything. The. They proceeded to tell me that the learning module on the trans was reset based on my driving habits and that I was driving it hard. I fought with them over the 125.00 and told them I’m not paying it because of the warranty. Finally the manager said he would waive the fee this time but no more. Bottom line I was tested like I didn’t know anything and that my driving was the only Thing wrong with the vehicle. Needless to say I’m taking it to another dodge dealership who already said there was indeed something wrong with it. It will get fixed by dodge but not Fred Frederick. To have the nerve to blame me for the transmission acting up is not good practice. I have been a fleet manager for over 25 years and I know when something is wrong. Do not go to Fred Fredrick for service .....ever !!! More
