Customer brought vehicle in with check engine light on but no active code. Stored code was for the transmission. This was communicated to the customer. Test drove extensively, did not experience a problem. We did not charge the customer. Vehicle is out of warranty. Any repair recommendation would have been several hundred dollars or higher. Followed up to find out the check engine light came back on at a later date. We offered to look at it again, was told it is at a repair shop with a different failure code.
