Brought in 5K miles later for an oil change and they told me a $227 spark plug change was required to keep the Fred Anderson lifetime power train warranty. I asked for a copy of that lifetime warranty but they could not provide it. Beware, this dealership does not change your oil every 5K mikes (they change it every 10K miles ) but require you to bring your vehicle in every 5K in an effort to find something they can charge you for. When I bought the truck the salesman told me this dealership knows people trade/buy on an average of every 3-5 years so they know the lifetime warranty will never have to be used by the consumer. Very friendly people and the service work is great just a deceitful business More
Worst Car Buying Experience I've had or heard anyone having First, I'd like to say, I had previously bought a Camry here and the purchase went well so, I was going back assuming I'd have another good car buying First, I'd like to say, I had previously bought a Camry here and the purchase went well so, I was going back assuming I'd have another good car buying experience. The day I bought a new 2018 Camry from Fred Anderson Toyota in Sanford, NC/signed the paperwork/paid for my new car, I was told it would be delivered to my house the next day. On that next day, I had to call three times (no one called me) only to find out the car wasn't going to come till the following day. The following day I had to call four time (no one called me) only to find out they could not tell me when the car would be delivered. I was then told that when cars are shipped, the dealership has no vision on the shipment movement and they basically have no idea when the car would arrived but thought it should be there within a few days. After more than I few days I had to call (as I hadn't received a call) to ask the status of the car and they still didn't know and at least offered to let me drive a temporary loaner until my car arrived. While that was nice, I wanted my car and didn't understand how a company has no vision on a shipment of cars worth $100,00 or a lot more when I can see current tracking on a $.55 package. None the less, two weeks after I bought my car, they finally called and told that my car would be delivered the next day at 1 pm. The next I didn't get a call and at 12:30 I called the dealership to find out the status of my car and was told that the person who was supposed to deliver my car wasn't there and they weren't tracking the delivery of my car but, assured me that my car would be delivered that day after another person returned from another car delivery. I received a call about 7 pm to say the driver left (I live about 1:05 away from the dealership. I was called at 8:45 by the driver asking me to drive 30-40 minutes from my house to meet him and get my car. I was told the car would be delivered to me and I expected the dealer to follow through with what they said they would do. The driver called me 5 times and didn't get to my house till 11:35 that night. I was called the next day to ask if I received my car and I explained how horrible the delivery was and I was told sorry, he's new. I couldn't really check the car out that night so, the next morning I went to look at the car only to find it didn't not have push button start in the car, just like the demo car I was shown and I specifically asked if all Camry SEs came with that and was told yes. I called the salesman to mention this option was not in the car delivered to me and he commented that he told me that all the options in the car I viewed might not be in the car I purchase. I said I didn't specifically remember him saying that but I wasn't going to argue that he didn't because he might have and I not remember but he did answer my question, that all Camry SEs come with push button start and mine did not. He told me that he would have to talk to his manager and get back me. That was almost two weeks ago now and of course, I haven't received a phone call. Communication is the most important item for a customer service driven business and this was by far, the worst experience I've ever had or heard of anyone having in buying any vehicle. I'm still waiting for a call from my salesman to talk about what I was told would be in the car I purchased but, was not actually in the car I was delivered. More
Great Service As Usual I took my 2017 Tacoma in for its 20K service. I was greeted and asked if there was anything else that needed attention. I said that the wipers neede I took my 2017 Tacoma in for its 20K service. I was greeted and asked if there was anything else that needed attention. I said that the wipers needed to be changed, and was told that was no problem, and that there was a sale on new wipers. ToyotaCare doesn't cover wipers apparently, but with the sale price, I only spent $32 on new wipers, installed. I bring my (leased) Tacoma in for service every 5K miles and always receive great service. The waiting room is comfortable, has free water, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. There is a TV with comfortable seating, tables with chairs, and there's even a kids play room. I highly recommend Fred Anderson Toyota Sanford! More
VERY PROFESSIONAL CREW Was an extensive repair (about 12 hours labor), fortunately under warranty! Nice, clean loaner Corolla. Called, texted me when my chariot was ready. I was then told that the part was 224.00, an hour and a half labor and 75.00 for the diagnosis. The part was a mass air flow sensor and online for 39.00. I ended up buying the part from the parts department at a better price than quoted because it is a Toyota OEM part and I've had this 4runner 13 years. My problem was with the service department wanting almost two hours labor for a 15 minute job. I took the part home and I was able to change it myself in 10 minutes. I understand that you need to make money to stay in business but to try to charge almost two hours labor for a 10 minute job is a little excessive. More
