My wife carried our Toyota Sequoia to Fred Anderson Toyota with a suspected transmission issue.. I had carried the vehicle by O’Reilly Auto Parts and had the check engine light analyzed and it indicate Toyota with a suspected transmission issue.. I had carried the vehicle by O’Reilly Auto Parts and had the check engine light analyzed and it indicated the transmission speed sensor was defective.. we expected the Toyota dealership to analyze the check engine light and report the same results. Lo and behold, the service coordinator told my wife after their analysis that the transmission needed to be replaced. Just for giggles, I carried our vehicle to an independent transmission technician. He analyzed the check engine light, called and said the transmission speed indicator sensor was bad. Replaced sensor, tested transmission and we are back on the road with our vehicle. Fred Anderson Toyota charged us $185 to tell us it could not be repaired. The independent technician charged us $250 for parts and labor and the vehicle is good as new. More

Very disappointed at this place, thought that dealer is more on trust but just got ripped off big time today. So, my car won't start after came back from vacation and I thought it's the battery but Autozon more on trust but just got ripped off big time today. So, my car won't start after came back from vacation and I thought it's the battery but Autozone said battery is good so I decided to tow to Greer Toyoto to check to see if any issues! When I dropped the car off there, took them couple day to get back and said that it's the injector that caused the issues! so the guy and me both agreed to go ahead and get it fix and total cost is $485. But when I pick it up it, the lady told me it's $1300 and I told her that's not what the man told me and she look again and said oh it's $775. It's more than what the man told me on the first time as long as they fixed the issues. When I drove the car home it stalled on me twice and I almost didn't make it home. I went back to the dealer and tell them what happened but they denied everything and said that's the way it supposed to be. So, I lost almost $800 for nothing. Please be careful when you take your car to this place if you dont know much about car and if you do, record everything of the conversations between you and them. More
I purchased a vehicle at Toyota of Greer in 2018 when it was NOT owned by Fred Anderson. I’ve had exceptional service until Fred Anderson took over. They refused to honor my previously purchased standard se was NOT owned by Fred Anderson. I’ve had exceptional service until Fred Anderson took over. They refused to honor my previously purchased standard service package which is an oil change and tire rotation at 7500 mile increments. Claimed it only covered $50 and I was responsible for the difference. After discussions, if you can call it that, I left and went to Toyota of Easley and they handled the servicing of my car and didn’t hesitate when looking at my service agreement nor did they try and charge me any additional money. I had been doing business with Toyota of Greer since 2013 but will no longer. Fred Anderson takeover was the worst thing to happen to that dealership! Customer service there is awful and after choosing to drive an hr just to use that location is an insult to the loyalty I once had. More
