Chivas is the first employee I have dealt with in years who actually took the time to explain things to me and treated me as a human and not a purse. The rest of the employees in the service department co who actually took the time to explain things to me and treated me as a human and not a purse. The rest of the employees in the service department could all benefit from following Chavis’s lead as he is Fred Anderson’s gem and a true asset. The service shop and Fred Anderson on the other hand is disappointing at best. You nickel and dime for everything. You do unnecessary work without prior approval. I have had numerous issues with Fred Anderson over my 10 years of being their customer and will not be using them anymore for anything other than my free oil changes which really are not free. I’ve been a loyal customer and only ever had a service or any work done on my vehicle at this location and you would think I was a beggar off of the streets asking for change. I requested my locks be looked at as my key fob was not locking nor unlocking my doors as well as not working from my door panel unless the car was cranked. I suspected it was a blown fuse or an issue with my ECU and not an actuator issue as none of the doors were working to include my rear door. They immediately told me it was a key fob issue and recommended a new key be cut and chip be made which is BIG money. Luckily I knew it was not a fob issue and asked chevis to ask the foreman to investigate further. They wanted to then charge me an additional $350 to investigate further which would only be to diagnose not to fix. I’m so disappointed in them and unfortunately this was the final straw for me. Thankfully Chavis voided the initial $105 diagnosis as I was never given an official diagnosis. More

I have used other dealerships in the past but none have taken as good of care in getting my vehicles serviced and back on They listen and follow up. Maverick has assisted me each time and has always been honest and straight forward. Also, their service videos are awesome! It’s nice to be virtually walked through and shown any issues your vehicle may have. They describe why things aren’t an issue too. Thanks for providing such excellent service. More

I wish I could give Fred Anderson Toyota a 0 star rating. We bought a like new RAV4 certified preowned vehicle days before we went on vacation to Kiowa Island. While traveling on I-95 the air conditioning bl We bought a like new RAV4 certified preowned vehicle days before we went on vacation to Kiowa Island. While traveling on I-95 the air conditioning blew out and left us sweltering in the SC heat. The next morning I took the car to Fred Anderson Toyota for repair and when contacted was told that the repairs would cost us over $700 (out of pocket) which included a one day rental of a car that was not as nice as the one we were driving. We had purchased the best warranty available so that we would not have to worry about a situation like this. I had informed the service advisor, Frank DeGrasse, about the warranty coverage on the car, however he ignored our coverage and tried to say that we had encountered a road hazard and the warranty would not cover the repair. Looking at the video we were sent by the mechanic, it was obvious that it would have taken an impact that would have shattered the protective shield under the car to have done what they claimed. The protective shield was not even scratched!!! They pointed to a scrape on the front bumper and said that was evidence of a road hazard. I shared the video with a former Toyota repair technician and other highly experienced mechanics that I know and trust explicitly and every one of them said the same thing, that there was no possible way that the damage that they saw could have occurred the way FAT described. I was forced to pay over $170 to get our car back and drove the rest of our vacation in the June/July heat of Charleston SC. We took our car back to Pinehurst Toyota in Pinehurst, NC where we purchased the car. We were treated with respect and given a very nice rental, while repairs were made at no charge. The service department agreed that the problem was not caused by any road hazard. We can only speculate that Fred Anderson Toyota was trying to take advantage of out of town travelers. Hopefully this will help caution others who may be caught in the same situation. If faced with the same situation in the future, I would definitely make the drive to Savannah Toyota instead, even though the drive is longer. DO NOT TRUST FRED ANDERSON CHARLESTON TOYOTA !!!!!!!!! TRAVELERS BEWARE !!!!! More
