Traded in my truck and purchased a pre owned vehicle. Car drives great but head end/radio unit is broken. I was told 1-2 days for a replacement, after a month of waiting for an update I was told it would be 5 months (lol). They offered me 900 dollars plus another 100 for installation 😆… The replacement is min 1200 bucks and install at least 200. Todd (William) Stamey not only flat out lied about the backorder time, I confirmed a 3-4 day lead time with Prestige Subaru which is OWNED BY FRED ANDERSON… He low balled the offer and whined about his cost as if my cost had zero relevance to the situation. Sorry Todd I guess I didn’t realize I bought the car at the dealerships cost 🙄. Still haven’t heard back from them about a replacement have given up hope. They did offer me 1200 and a free installation if I can source a radio but only if I can provide a receipt??? I have to spend my own money in order to get what I’ve already paid for. Consider that for a sec before you decide to visit Fred Anderson Toyota. There are much better dealerships to go to avoid this place at all cost they 100% will lie and attempt to cheat you. More

After not getting any feedback from the dealer I decided to make the hour and half drive to the dealership to see the car in person only to find it no longer on the lot. More
My buying used car experience was Outstanding! From the beginning with On-Line Rep Jessica Jacks who was very helpful taking me through the used car inventory and answering questions about the car From the beginning with On-Line Rep Jessica Jacks who was very helpful taking me through the used car inventory and answering questions about the cars. Juan Perozo was absolutely the best sales Rep I've ever worked with. He went out of his way to provide excellent service and was very helpful on every detail and beyond involved in the purchase. The Used Car Manager, Adam Hicks, was also very open and transparent about the sale and price. Alexi the finance rep and also did a terrific job. Adam and Juan were even helpful on training ideas for our Newfoundland dog. The dog was in the building and had a great time with all the friendly employees. The whole process was Five Stars from beginning to end!! Ron Gallaway More

I purchased a new Camary in 2012 have always had it serviced here.I have 48,000 miles I made a appointment for a oil change and state inspection .When I arrived I was asked you don't drive much do y serviced here.I have 48,000 miles I made a appointment for a oil change and state inspection .When I arrived I was asked you don't drive much do you have you considered upgrading Which I said no. After waiting for awhile I was told my car would not connect to the OBD for inspection if I wanted to wait it could be diagnosed. I Decided against that when I got in the car my odometer had been tripped I took it to a mechanic he set the odometer back scanned it and found no codes hooked it up and everything passed inspection. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO FRED ANDERSON FOR SERVICE AGAIN More
Tried to work with Gabe on a marketing problem and he was less than professional. Got combative and a tad condescending at the end of the call, I really don't know think he's going to keep his word and take less than professional. From Express service to finance, Sales and ever Austin Wood and everyone else I’ve worked with at Fred Anderson Toyota of Asheville has been amazing. From Express service to finance, Sales and everything inbetween I have not been happier buying cars. Bryan Cooper has take time over numerous car deals to Help me weigh the pros and cons of my purchase and put a voice of reason with zero pressure into it. He knows I sometimes can be a tad impulsive and has really helped keep my head level. Even when one car wasn’t great and just didn’t fit my needs or my business, he made sure I got the highest buy back offer around, including selling my self. Bryan has become a good friend and I fully trust Fred Anderson to take care of me as a customer. Even if I hadn’t bought a number of cars for my self and my business Thank you guys!! More
I’ve held off writing a review since buying last summer. I wanted to give it 6 months & see if things improved. They haven't. From the ‘You’re not gonna get a better deal’ type sale with this ‘18 Corolla L I wanted to give it 6 months & see if things improved. They haven't. From the ‘You’re not gonna get a better deal’ type sale with this ‘18 Corolla Le’mon, many service trips & warranty refusals, I’m stuck with a poorly made, unreliable car. I should’ve learned from my first used car purchase from them. But, that one felt solid and ran well enough- until it didn’t. Which is why I took it back thinking ‘Toyota will make it right’. Hasn’t happened. Initially, I noticed someone did a shoddy silver paint job covering damaged interior & was told they wouldn’t fix it because it was ‘cosmetic’ & they “couldn’t put more money into it”. I also asked about the trunk seals that were torn/ripped and was told the same thing. Seals prevent water damage; Its not “cosmetic” & should have been replaced. They still haven’t been. Problems only continued. I found shattered auto glass under the floor mats a month after buying the Corolla so I know something happened to this car before I got it. During one of my early visits, I asked the service guy “What can be done about this car?” to which he replied “There’s nothing that can be done now except fix it.” But they won’t/can’t/don’t care. Many service department communication problems early on so the manager said to call/email him directly. Took a week to get a response. On my second or third service visit, I had to go back to sales guy & get the owners manual/vehicle maintenance book after the service fella I dealt with that day said “Well, if you look in your manual, it says…”. I told him “I would if I had one”. He was unprofessional and condescending. Its already needed a new catalytic converter (it wasn’t stolen), new battery because several mornings it wouldn’t start this winter. Recently, the headliner has started detaching across the windshield so much that I can stick my finger in it. Their warranty company refused it claiming ‘its cosmetic’. Its not, its a driving hazard the more it detaches. This is ludicrous. While paying for the new battery, the nice fella says “Toyota paid for the oil change and tire rotation…”. I replied, “No, I paid for it buying the maintenance plan.” But I need my only vehicle to start on cold mornings to take my kids to school and go to work so I had to pay for a new one. I get he was only doing his job & was one of the nicer guys I’ve dealt with there but enough with the scripted, feel-good verbiage. Its misleading to the other customers, so I corrected him. As for the “Lifetime Loaner” deal, only one time did I get a ‘loaner car’. A few other times, I had to pay for it as a ‘rental’. I’m a single, widowed Mom of two school aged kids & a home care worker. I need reliable transportation to care for all the people who depend on me. Why claim to have ‘loaner’ cars when that is really not the deal? I either miss a day of work or have to go Saturdays so I don’t have to ‘rent’ another ‘loaner’ car. On a Saturday visit, it was fairly entertaining that a Prius caught fire because of faulty wiring (from what the service person said) in the employee parking lot. I digress, I’m paying a LOT for this car, the Toyota Certification, the Family Plan’ & ‘Additional 100k mile Warranty’. I feel completely scammed with this purchase. Toyotas used to be my ‘go-to’ but seem to have gone the way of Saturn in the late 90’s. Its a shame. They used to be one of the more affordable & reliable vehicles. My Tercel from the 1980’s was far better made than this 2018 Corolla. I’m seriously disappointed with the dealership as a whole, the Family/Maintenance Plans & the additional 100k mile warranty I was told would prevent me from paying a lot of out of pocket costs over the life I own this Corolla Le-mon. I thought it’d be a ‘good enough’ car for my line of work and feel safe letting my daughter drive it as her first car. Unfortunately, it is neither. Toyota needs to step up. More
