During these days of Covid, I limit my contacts as much as possible. I have my groceries and shopping delivered, do not frequent restaurants, etc. So when a tail light on my Toyota Camry needed to be repla as possible. I have my groceries and shopping delivered, do not frequent restaurants, etc. So when a tail light on my Toyota Camry needed to be replaced, I called Fred Anderson Toyota of Asheville, told them exactly what needed to be repaired, and made an appointment for it to be fixed. I arrived at the dealership and it turns out they didn't have the part and had failed to order it!! So now I have to go back to the dealership a second time--thus exposing myself and the Toyota associates unnecessarily. Not very good Covid -- or time -- management, Toyota!!! Very poorly handled!! Lousy service gave me the run-around on a 2012 Benz I bought from them even before I took it to them so cancelled. Never again will I buy a car fr these people let alone have it serviced there. bought from them even before I took it to them so cancelled. I had a great experience buying a car today with Jesse. Extremely helpful. He made sure I could handle my daughter’s mountain easily. Outstanding! Extremely helpful. He made sure I could handle my daughter’s mountain easily. Outstanding! More
Tried to up sale service I did not need to the tune of $900 I took my Matrix in for a air bag recall. They did a good job on this. The problem is when they did their multi-point free inspection they came up with $900 items that needed to be serviced. Two of them needed done. One was a license plate light was out and the other was the cabin filter was dirty. The technician said in the video inspection that my engine air filter was fine but on the list of repairs needed they had listed that it needed replacing. When I got home I checked it and it was very clean. They also said my spark plugs needed replacing. Thae only have 30,000 miles on them and the Toyota recommended replacement of them is 120,000 miles. The spark plugs are Toyota recommended plugs. When I got home I checked it and it was very clean. The other repairs listed was based on mileage and/or time. They have no way what I have done to the car so there is no way they could know what needs to be done. I would not trust anything they say needs fixed and I would not recommend their service dept. More
Jesse is the salesman you want! (Be aware of the financial dept though... more below) I spent a month educating myself through Kevin Hunter, Chevy Dude, and Your Auto Advocate on YouTube. I was financial dept though... more below) I spent a month educating myself through Kevin Hunter, Chevy Dude, and Your Auto Advocate on YouTube. I was amazed to see that there were no bogus fees or tactics done with Jesse. It was quite refreshing. Jesse is not pushy, allows for private conversations, willing to work on price, and applies no hidden fees. Actually asked us how much down and how many months I'd like to finance for instead of suggesting 84 months at $0 down or saying "what would you like your payments to be?" He followed proper safety measures during COVID-19. He is personable versus getting you out the door in an hour. If you are from out of state, they have built in free lifetime oil changes into the overall price... be sure to negotiate that off the overall price. I had gone to 4 other dealerships prior to Fred Anderson and they were all rude, pushy, controlling, and demanding. I never felt that for one second with Jesse. The finances department was not as transparent so go in prepared! Have a pre-approval letter from a bank of your choosing before going in. The reason is that the financial guy we worked with (Josh) will claim to have run your numbers into their system that will pull the lowest interest rate. That was not the case. He pulled 5.99% (credit score was 846). When we asked him to look at our letter, he claimed it was not valid for this specific vehicle (VIN needed), though it was for the same amount and stated "used car sale". Puzzled, we did say while laughing "this seems like a crock of xxxx"(probably could have said something else but that's what came out). We asked him to run it again with the bank we had a letter with and 30 seconds later... it was 2% lower. He remained unapologetic instead told us about his military background and how he takes his work and image seriously. He also claimed if we used our bank instead of them, there was a $500 penalty (first time ever hearing that). Lastly, he stated you can only put 5K down on your credit card because they have been burned in the past with people cancelling the payment and getting a free car? When we asked him to ask his manager, he did... was gone 8-10 seconds, came back, said no, sat back down. Seemed fishy. Josh was confrontational, stubborn, and unapologetic for making a mistake that would have netted them thousands. More
Best car buying experience ever! Dean Holllar was our Sales Pro and he was just that, a real pro. Great truck buying experience, great sale associate . Began looking for a deal on a 2020 Tacoma last fall, I stopped into Fred Anderson and spoke to sales person, Eric Thelander. He was a nice guy, little pressure and said he was there to answer any questions I had. I didn't see anything I really liked on the lot that day so Eric gave me his card and said if there was anything I needed, to call him. He also said he would keep an eye on the changing inventory of Tacoma's and let me . Eric called me several times over the next 6 months to keep in touch and help with my search. In late April, Toyota offered a interest free for 60 month deal so I traveled back to Fred Anderson and met back up with Eric who assisted me with test driving several Tacoma's. I settled on a 2020 TRD Sport and Eric and I settled on a deal that we were both happy with. The paper work was quick and easy and before I knew it, I was on my way home with me new Tacoma. Bottom line, I would highly recommend Fred Anderson Toyota as they have a large of inventory in stock and not only would I recommend Fred Anderson to my friends, I would also go back again for a future Toyota purchase. Salesman Eric Thelander ROCKS !!! More

However, if you are willing to do a little research on your own of the vehicle you are especially interested in and willing to find the right sales professional, it can be a worthwhile experience. Just recently, I purchased a new 2020 4Runner TRD Pro from Fred Anderson Toyota of Asheville, NC. I would really like to thank my sales professional, Alex Davidchuck, for making the purchase a positive experience. Mr. Davidchuck is extremely knowledgeable of his product line, answers questions via text promptly, has excellent colleagues to assist in his absence (Megan and Scott), and makes the negotiation process a tolerable experience. I felt heard and respected as a potential buyer. Now, I am an established customer and plan to return to Fred Anderson Toyota of Asheville for all of my automotive needs. More

Shop Here I drive a car daily in my business, so when mine died I had to find one quickly that fit my requirements. Visits to other dealerships were unsuccess I drive a car daily in my business, so when mine died I had to find one quickly that fit my requirements. Visits to other dealerships were unsuccessful. Then I read Denise D.'s review of Fred Anderson Toyota and her experience with Steve Troia....I decided to call Steve. WOW! I couldn't have asked for better help or a representative with more patience in finding the perfect car for my needs. (I admit: I was somewhat inflexible,) Then Josh Mitchell, the Finance Manager, worked his magic and I bought a brand new looking 2014 RAV4 XLE. Obviously, Steve and Josh were great. As for the dealership itself, everyone was courteous, friendly with co-workers, and the atmosphere was very positive. In the future I will skip the other places and visit Fred Anderson Toyota without passing GO. More
