Visiting this dealership over the years and watching a consistent decline in several areas of customer service has become as much of a disappointment as a visit to the NC DMV. On average over the past consistent decline in several areas of customer service has become as much of a disappointment as a visit to the NC DMV. On average over the past 7 years all of my service appointments have cost me a minimum of 3 hours per trip, today it was 8.5 hours, just for a battery replacement. Of course they don't communicate or provide any updates at all, even when they take your mechanic off of your car to work on a different one, it would have been nice to know that up front! Sitting in a waiting room chair for 8.5 hours with no idea of the status of my car is stressful enough, I shouldn't have to chase someone down for an answer, only to be told they prefer to communicate via text. I thought car dealerships were all about face to face relationships? And at the end of this painful shift I find out all of this was for a battery replacement, even worse they tell me it could have been done sooner if they knew it was a battery replacement, really?? 3 batteries in 3.5 years from Fred Anderson, why would I expect a bad battery only after 1 year? I lived in MN, batteries lasted 5 years on average, in below zero weather!! And isn't the point of a service appointment for them to diagnose the issue, not me.... Finally I get my car back, thinking after all of these battery issues some of the cost would be covered by battery warranty, not quite. Not only do they tell me the warranty is shy by a few months, they suggest I could wait up to another 2 hours for them to see if Nissan would cover it. Stick a fork in me, I'm done! I have given this dealership many years of loyalty, there used to be a time when that meant something. There also used to be a time when customer service was a priority. The customer deserves better!!! In all actuality this is a 1 star experience, but I do give credit for loyal work. More
Quick honest service. Brandon T and Billy in Finance had great customer service. Put my needs and unique situation ahead of just making money for the store. I bought my 2016 Nissan Sentra from Fred Anderson in March of 2016. I came in for service in April 2022 because the brakes were grinding and there was an issue with the RPM’s when driving on the highway March of 2016. I came in for service in April 2022 because the brakes were grinding and there was an issue with the RPM’s when driving on the highway, they would randomly jump up when the road was flat and I wasn’t changing my foot on the gas pedal. The RPM’s would only flutter like that when the car was warm and when going down the highway and I made that known to the service associate when dropping my car off. When I picked the car up, I was charged a diagnostic fee of $199.32 and they only drove the car 5 miles, clearly not enough to replicate the issue. Also, I was only quoted and only approved $400 for a radiator flush and another recommended 60k mile maintenance. When I picked up the car, I was charged over $700. Chris R, Service Manager, did correct the issue and refund the diagnostic fee which I really appreciated. That made me want to give Fred Anderson Nissan another shot. I got in my car the other day after being out of town and my Forward Emergency Braking System light was on. After driving a bit, I noticed the Blind Spot Sensors were no longer working, which is why the light was on. I took my car back to Fred Anderson 06/14/2022 and again was charged a diagnostic fee of $199.32 and this time they told me the computer wasn’t able to diagnose any issues. I know that you have to pay your mechanics so I understand it shouldn’t have been free but I don’t agree with paying that much for you to not diagnose any issues and to hook it to a computer and drive around. Well then the icing on the cake, I pick up my car and pay the bill and go out to drive away to find a PAIR OF MENS WORK SHORTS in my back seat. What in the world are you doing in my car that you have shorts off of your body and why are you leaving them behind? This is unacceptable. I then came to discover a white stain on the carpet of my floor. So now I am paying for someone to drive my car around to not be able to diagnose any issues AND they’re doing God knows what in my car?! This is absolutely unacceptable. I brought this to the attention of Chris R and he was not empathetic at all, didn’t offer an apology or a resolution of any sort. I will NEVER buy a car from Fred Anderson Nissan EVER again and you WILL NOT find my Sentra there for ANYTHING ever again. More
I told them about my free car oil changes (from getting a new car) and they still made me pay just for the oil change. They said they’d refund me back, but they never did. new car) and they still made me pay just for the oil change. They said they’d refund me back, but they never did. More
I visited dealership yesterday as I enrolled in Family plan which say free oil changes, when I visited dealership service advisor said unless you go with tire rotation we cannot do free oil change. He was plan which say free oil changes, when I visited dealership service advisor said unless you go with tire rotation we cannot do free oil change. He was very reckless and least bothered to hear even after me telling I wish to have rotation done at other place. There is nothing written or published anywhere which says free oil change possible only when you do tire rotation. This is pure gimmick by dealership when you buy new car and they make you fall trap later during the service. When I ultimately paid for service, I discovered that they only changed oil and did not do tire rotation, I have to show proof to service advisor when they bought the car to me, and he again went inside with the car to get the rotation done. It is highly advised that they need to have cameras installed to check what technicians are doing. The service advisor name is Brayan Mora. More
