I had to take my Kia in for a safety recall. When I arrived I was greeted by Mike. He told me the average time it would take to replace the part and asked if I had any questions. He also told me Jason arrived I was greeted by Mike. He told me the average time it would take to replace the part and asked if I had any questions. He also told me Jason would be the person doing the work on my car and if I had any questions or concerns I would be able to ask him also. At that time I made a rather unusual request. I told him I wanted to see the part that was being taken off my vehicle and I also wanted to the see the part it woulda be replaced with. Mike told me he wasn’t sure I would be allowed in the shop area, due to safety regulations but he would ask. I went to the customer lounge to wait and I received a text message from Jason. It said if I had any questions while I was waiting to contact him. I sent my reply back telling him I wanted to the old and the new parts. About 50 minutes later Jason came into the lounge and escorted me to the shop area and did indeed show me the parts that had been removed and the new part that was being installed and showed me why the part had been recalled. I was very pleased with the service I received. More

Kia Failed Engine after 4 YEARS! We bought a brand new Kia in April 2016. Four years later, the car would not start. We brought it to the Kia of Greenville Dealership for a diagnostic We bought a brand new Kia in April 2016. Four years later, the car would not start. We brought it to the Kia of Greenville Dealership for a diagnostic and were told that we needed a new engine to the tune of $6,000. The dealership suggested that we call Kia HQ's to see if we could get a new engine since the car, "should not have had that problem after only 4 years of use." A representative from Kia HQ's called us back with a decision that they would NOT replace the engine and that it was something that the service department told them to lead them to their decision. We had regular oil changes and had all the receipts, so I can't imagine what they would have told them--I'm thinking they didn't want us to get a new engine so we would buy a car from them?? The punch line: they made us pay the $130+ diagnostic fee! I spoke with the service manager to see if we could get the fee waived, then spoke with the GM of the dealership. He was talking in circles and stated that he would not be able to pay his service tech if we didn't pay the diagnostic fee (I'm fairly certain his tech's don't earn $130 for 10 mintues of work). He ended up hanging up on me. I have a call into the owner (who also owns Greer Nissan and Toyota) and am yet to get a call back. After considering out options, we decided to sell the 4 yr old Kia vehicle salvage and buy a new car as we were in need of a truck to do some camping and gardening projects. We enjoyed our Tacoma in the past so purchased one, but NOT FROM GREER TOYOTA. They lost a sale over a measly $130--the culture over their is not one of common sense I'm guessing. Satellite More
What a rip off, I was quoted $250 for oil change/maintenance and 1:30 time. Whatever they did was done at 3 and cost $433 I asked them to call my dad to clarify any services they didn’t. I su change/maintenance and 1:30 time. Whatever they did was done at 3 and cost $433 I asked them to call my dad to clarify any services they didn’t. I supposedly got a complimentary car wash, but there’s visible bird poop on the side. my back windshield wiper blade is dangling they didn’t bother to mention that needs to be replaced. I drive very infrequently low mileage and excellent condition. I have taken to the dealership for all maintenance since I bought it. Very disappointed. More
