We recently bought TWO cars from Fred Anderson Honda in Greenville, SC. Our salesman was John and he was extremely easy to work with and helpful. I bought my wife a brand new Honda and a few weeks later we Greenville, SC. Our salesman was John and he was extremely easy to work with and helpful. I bought my wife a brand new Honda and a few weeks later we returned to buy our daughter a used Volkswagen. Both experiences were smooth and professional. The finance department handled everything professionally and we didn't feel pressure or upselling tricks. We will return in the future for other potential purchases. Very good experience. More

At the first service, I was told that they could rotate my tires but it was not included. Not a big deal so I paid for that. The second service (this morning) I was told that if I did not perform the tire rotation & another recommendation services the oil change was no longer covered. So now the extra $45 a month my payment is a mistake on my part. I will not be back for any additional service . This is just a racket & I am very disappointed. I will spe6to someone on Monday & hope to get this resolved. More
Received email yesterday from Nicole Diaz asking if I had been helped? I visited 4 dealerships in GA and SC trying to find my car. My experience with this dealership was very good. We had a little hiccup on our first try, but they bent over backwards to make up for it. And yes, I traveled 2.5 hrs one way twice to get the car I wanted. Thanks so much! More
Experience here was so horrible, I feel obligated to leave a review. This is long, so strap in. I traded in my old car and purchased a new Honda in July. My salesperson (Terry) was great, but the financ leave a review. This is long, so strap in. I traded in my old car and purchased a new Honda in July. My salesperson (Terry) was great, but the finance person (Matt) was condescending and patronizing. He started by giving me rate options for the extended warranty. I declined immediately, but he wouldn't let it go. He kept asking why, saying I would regret it when the car gave out, and it wasn't that much money. I told him we needed to move on several times and he kept going back to it. He also implied that the car would have NO WARRANTY if I didn't get the extended warranty. After I threatened to leave, he dropped it. The monthly payment options he showed me for financing were way too high and I told him so. My credit check had been done and I should have been getting a 4.9% interest fee and the rates were with an 8.9%. Rate changed to what I anticipated and I bought the car. So all of that was annoying, but I could live with it. My real issue began when they did not register my car and SC law states that a car must be registered within 45 days of purchase. After 45 days, I called the dealership to see what was up. They said they were very backlogged and they would get to it when they could. I call a couple weeks later and reception forwards me to someone and it goes to voicemail. And it goes on like that for weeks, calling and being forwarded to voicemail. On October 17th, 3 months after I bought the car, it was still unregistered and I had not received any answers from the dealership. A cop knocks on my door and says that my license has been suspended for driving my old car without insurance. I told him I didn't own that car anymore and that my Honda was insured, but not registered. After explaining the story, he told me to go to the DMV with proof of insurance and a bill of sale for my Honda so I can register myself and a bill of sale for my traded car to prove I didn't own the car to get my license reinstated. I took the next day off of work to settle this issue and go to the DMV. I get my license reinstated (Honda had the title for my old car, so they also didn't unregister me from that) and the DMV tells me that my brand new Honda is already registered to someone else and that I needed to talk to the dealership. I go to the dealership and Matt (finance demon) tells me that the dealership accidentally registered someone else with my cars VIN before I bought my car. So the entire time I was calling and they were ignoring me, they knew that they had made a mistake and were doing nothing to fix it. I asked what would be done to fix this and Matt tried to placate me and said it would be resolved next week and he would call me when it was. At this point, I no longer had a license plate on my car and asked if I could have a dealer plate or temporary while I waited for my new plates. Matt said no. He also did not call me the next week or answer my calls. Receptionist told me he was on vacation. First week of November, I ask to speak to a general manager and get their voicemail. Then I call Terry's cell, my original salesman, who had given me his business card. I hadn't spoken to him since I bought the car. I told him the whole story and he was apologetic and said he didn't know anything about this and would call the business office to let them know what was happening and asked me to come in the next day to sort things. Terry gives me a dealer plate and says that he will personally make sure that this gets sorted. I just received my registration and new plates in the mail yesterday. I skipped lunches, took days off, and had my license suspended because of this dealership and after 4 months, i'm finally driving my registered car. Almost every person I dealt with is either an incompetent idiot or a duplicitous, deceitful, self-serving idiot. Or maybe the issue is Fred Anderson buying out the company and making everyone cut corners and screw people over. Seriously, buyer beware. More
Chip, thank you for the time you spent with me to discuss how poorly I've been treated at Fred Anderson Honda. The more I've thought about this, the more angry I get. Simply, I had an offer on the table that how poorly I've been treated at Fred Anderson Honda. The more I've thought about this, the more angry I get. Simply, I had an offer on the table that you, as a company, could accept or refuse. But the reality boils down to the fact that we had a transaction on place. Offer was made. Period. Your representative, Baba, failed to bring proper action of the offer to the appropriate people for consideration. We had an offer in process, and for two days I swapped a response, all the while, asking for some response. Then find out that you had sold the car to someone else. You may not think this is a big deal, but I refuse to be treated this way. This was the car my daughter loved and really wanted. We'd been looking at cars for a month. Nothing we found was acceptable until we found that car. And I spent 4 hours and $120 on a Saturday to have that car checked out by my mechanic. This is just not right. We got screwed and had no control over the situation. In a sense, we were robbed. We spent money to have the car checked out, made an offer to purchase the car, and then were ignored and abandoned. Nothing we did was wrong as we actively tried to purchase this vehicle. In fact, we spent money in the process of purchasing this vehicle. And then were given no option to purchase the vehicle. It's wrong and I am not able to just lay low and accept this. Your company screwed us and I expect you to fix it. I'm sorry to dump this on you, but management has its demons. I'm not trying to be difficult, not trying to be an xxx, not trying to be unreasonable in the least, but what has happened here is completely unacceptable. And if this is the way Fred Anderson companies treat customers and prospective customers, then I will make it known in our community. Put yourself in my position. Daughter loves the car, wants the car, spend a day negotiating pricing, spend a day and money having the car checked over by a mechanic, make an offer to purchase the vehicle, hear nothing back for two days, only to find out you sold the car to someone else, while we awaited some response... for two days, pushing your representative for some response, still getting nothing except, as it turns out, lies. He lied. I came down there today to buy the car because Baba said he hadn't been able to get a response because Phillip was on vacation that day. Pushed the next day for a response. Waited and finally got a response that he hasn't gotten back to me because Phillip was on vacation again, but that someone was coming tomorrow to look at the car and perhaps purchase it. Angry as xxxx, I drive down there to your dealership to purchase the car, for whatever price, before you sell it to someone else tomorrow morning. That's when you and I talked, behind closed doors, and you informed me that the car was already sold to someone else, that they were picking the car up tomorrow morning (Wednesday). This is just not right. It's wrong. It's unprofessional and unethical. What can you do now? Fix it. More

They kept emailing me multiple times and called me that the vehicle was available. Then set me up with a sales person who said it had been sold some time prior. Then they continued to email me multiple tim the vehicle was available. Then set me up with a sales person who said it had been sold some time prior. Then they continued to email me multiple times and call asking if I was still interested in the van that the salesman said he’d sold. I think they were trying a bait and switch or something as these vans are hard to come by. More
