We visited Breakaway Honda following visits to other area dealers to look at a small SUV with good gas mileage. Our salesperson, Doug McAfee, met with us and demonstrated the CRV, its options and gave us in dealers to look at a small SUV with good gas mileage. Our salesperson, Doug McAfee, met with us and demonstrated the CRV, its options and gave us info re the dealership. He went above the call of duty and was very accomodating. The dealership made us an excellent offer and we purchased the vehicle that day. The closing was very well organized and the customer service was outstanding. We felt like we were a guest in a friends home. The staff from the receptionist to each and every salesperson the the business/finance manager were very cordial and friendly. We found them to be very accomodating as we were paying cash and awaiting the electronic transfer of funds from our out of state bank to be received. Although the dealer said we could take the vehicle home that day, we elected to wait until the funds were received in our local bank prior to picking the vehicle up later. We picked up the vehicle 2 days later and it was ready and waiting for us. It had been cleaned thoroughly, all paperwork was ready and awaiting us. This was the most pain free vehicle purchase that we have ever made in over 40 years. More
Kevin Ryan is fabulous. If you live in WNC, drive down to Greenville and go see Kevin if you need a Honda!!!! He was helpful, informative, and treated me with respect. I did not have this experience at Apple Tree Honda in Asheville, where two different salesman commented on the oddness of my arriving without my husband. Kevin worked with me in an honest and straightforward way...I've sent my mother to him for her next car. Everybody at the dealership was personable without treating me like the "little lady" trying to buy a car. I got a much! better price by driving down to South Carolina, and would definitely do it again. They made what had been a stressful nightmare relatively painless, and Kevin Ryan was definitely the integral part of the positive experience. More

A small but significant pricing error, in my favor, was made by our buying service. The dealer accepted it, no problem. I felt no sales pressure, no "double-talk" regarding pricing, warranty, financing or add-on features. Lifetime powertrain warranty was included in the price. Extended/suplemental coverage for towing/rental reimbursement/etc. was offered as an add-on, but again there was no pressure to sign up for them. On arrival I was greeted quickly, shown just what I asked for, allowed a substantitive test drive and given a price in writing. I left for the day feeling little to no pressure to make a quick decision. The next day I came back and was in and out in an hour and a half from arrival time to driving off the lot with a new car and very favorable financing. There was a small low-pressure push to consider the dealer for future vehicle servicing, but I consider that pretty typical. I was very pleased with the experience. More
By far the best car buying experience ever!!! I was looking for an Accord and had visited another Honda dealership, then my friend recommended Breakaway. I went to Breakaway and was amazed at the way my family and I was treated. Not only did they give the best deal(by $1,200.00) they also gave my an interest rate better than my credit union.This dealership should be at the top of eveyone's list. More
I had been visiting this dealership for several weeks to buy a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe V6 but never had one in. They took my name and phone number and said I would be at the top of the list, since they had buy a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe V6 but never had one in. They took my name and phone number and said I would be at the top of the list, since they had one that would be coming in about 1-2 weeks. About 1 1/2 weeks later I stopped by the dealership after work on a Fri night, and they told me they got one in but it still had to be prepped but they did show it to me. They said the salesman had my name as first to call when it came in, but he was off that day, so they called him at home to let him know...but he would be there on Sat morning. Also told me they could not let me drive it till it had been prepped first but to call first thing Sat morning to find out it if could be prepped that day. Called early Sat morning but they said they couldn;t prep it that day, but would on Mon and they would call me when it was finished. Was out running errands later in the morning and stopped by to take another look at it, but couldn;t find it. After about 20 minutes I saw it drive into the dealership with a couple who had just test driven it and decided to buy it (still with all the white protective coatings , etc they use to ship it so obviously not prepped). I complained the the GM who said it had been prepped (even though I heard the salesman say it had not been prepped) and they sell it to the first person who has the cash. Pretty much he was blaming me for not being there first with cash in hand, even though they had me as the first call for the car when it was received at the dealership. Absolutely no apology by the GM or Breakaway Honda dealership and not accepting any fault on their part. Absolutely the worst customer service example I have ever seen ( and I work in the hotel industry where customer service is very important). Would advise everyone to go to any other Honda dealership but this one to buy a car. More
