I went in to meet with Jamie to purchase a Cadillac SUV, luckily I had my husband with me. Everything was going smoothly until after waiting for 4 hours to get our trade in value and financing set up. Even luckily I had my husband with me. Everything was going smoothly until after waiting for 4 hours to get our trade in value and financing set up. Even though my score is 750 they were offering a high interest rate. I then inquired to use an outside source for financing to obtain a lower interest rate. Juan H. the finance manager informed us that we could not use financing outside of their establishment. When we questioned why, his response was because they can make 2 points on the financing by going through them. He stated that we could finance with them initially and just refinance again a month or two later with someone else. We applied through USAA due to being prior military to have a better rate. Moral of the story...be sure and get your trade in value up front in the beginning AND go in asking if outside financing is accepted prior to wasting four hours of your day. More
