In this review, when I say "they, them or their", I am to referring to Frank Boucher Chevrolet Saab of Racine as a whole, because every person that works there is the face of the dealership. their", I am to referring to Frank Boucher Chevrolet Saab of Racine as a whole, because every person that works there is the face of the dealership. This review is honest and forthright and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, so there may have been insinuating circumstances that I cannot account for here, but hopefully the conscientious buyer reading this and possibly the dealership itself can learn from it. This was my first new car buying experience. It was, for the most part, a series of inconveniences, disappointments, stressors and annoyances, the most serious being that they assigned a VIN to our car and all our paperwork (title, loan info, insurance, etc.) that belonged to a different car on their lot. The experience was a group effort in disorganization by this dealership to the point that they overshadowed any good aspects of our experience. We felt rushed that night. I asked the salesman, Chris, about financing at one point and he told me we would be talking about it yet that night. We never discussed it again until signing time, which is when we were told that our loan rate was higher than we expected. The details were never explained to us regarding the amount we financed versus what rate we would get. It was wrong of the dealership to not discuss it with us in advance of signing. I spotted a form that we needed to sign that stated we were owed no other options or accessories, when in fact we had worked accessories into the deal, so that had to be changed. We would have appreciated the entire breakdown of the complete price of the car in a clear fashion before signing, as we were caught a little by surprise by some of the numbers. Our manuals and most importantly, our second key, were locked in a safe which they could not open anymore that day, so we left with only one key and no manuals. Details regarding many of the car's functional features and included warranties/coverages were not discussed before we left and we had no info regarding OnStar, XM Satellite Radio and Chevrolet Roadside Assistance. 6 days after buying the car, I talked to Chris on the phone regarding the issues we had with the whole car buying process. 4 days later in another phone call with Chris, I was made aware of the fact that they assigned us the wrong VIN. 2 days prior to that, in a phone call with manager Mike, he made NO mention of this grievous error on their part. He absolutely did not tell me that they made the VIN mistake. That is inexcusable. I would have raised a seriously irate complaint with him during that phone conversation if he had told me, but he did not, flat out! I was told a number of times that they would "make it up to us". But instead, the problems continued. Another manager, Brian, never returned my call. We went back to fix the paperwork and have our accessories installed. I asked Mike why he never told me that they gave us the wrong VIN when I called him. He sternly told me to my face that he had indeed told me! I couldn't believe he was lying to me in person! The fact that he failed to tell me this serious error early on and then lied to us about it really solidifies the fact that this dealership has bad and untrustworthy management and customer service. Then there were some issues and setbacks with the installation of the accessories. They gave us a car to drive while we waited, but we had to put gas in it! As positives, at least most of the people we dealt with were pretty friendly and we got apologies from most everyone we were in contact with. They've asked me numerous times to review my experience with them, so I have. There are some harsh words from me, but I'm not afraid to speak honestly about it. Maybe my standards are too high, but being a first time new car buyer, I expected much more from Frank Boucher and we would not recommend others to shop there based on our experience. I located the exact suv at this dealership. I spoke to salesman Dyevan(sp). I provided pictures of my trade & information concerning pricing from another dealership. He gave me a soft trade number & told salesman Dyevan(sp). I provided pictures of my trade & information concerning pricing from another dealership. He gave me a soft trade number & told me if my trade in was close to my information we could easily strike a deal. I made contact with the salesman 3 times stating I would travel over 225 miles & write a check for difference. I also stated each time I did not want to be mislead & I would not mislead them. We travel 3.5 hours (each way) to the dealership, only to find out that management would not come close to our deal. We were $4500 off. The manager could explain why the difference. He could not find any support for my trade in value. He stated he researched 3-4 places & could not find support for the price I was provided over the phone & which I questioned several times. I was extremely upset to say the least. I was given the classic bait and switch routine. I went on auto trader & used the " what's my car worth" calculator & using average trade in value found support for my car trade value. As a professional & retired military member, I was at a loss for the treatment I received. This is suppose to be a highly regarded dealership. They pride themselves in using the word "honest", " integrity", " customer service", sorry I did not see any of those attributes. The manger on Saturday was a very poor representative of Boucher Chev. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone! More

I typically dread buying a new car. The customer usually sits in an uncomfortable chair as a salesman spends hours running between the customer and some elusive sales manager in a back room. I decided to u sits in an uncomfortable chair as a salesman spends hours running between the customer and some elusive sales manager in a back room. I decided to use an internet buying service through my automobile insurance company. The internet buying service directed me to Frank Boucher Chevrolet, Cadillac & Saab of Racine. I compared the internet price from Boucher with the GM employee price that I can also obtain and the internet price was lower. I worked with Chris Schouten, the internet sales manager and the office manager for the financing and closing. It was a delightful experience. The office manager was able to find a finance rate 0.6 APR below the best rate my bank could obtain. The customer service was by far the best feature of the Boucher dealership. More
