I called Anderson VW to get a quote to do the Timing Belt change on my VW Jetta. The quoted price was $1000.00 + Tax. I told the price is too high and so if they would like to come down to about $700.00. Bu change on my VW Jetta. The quoted price was $1000.00 + Tax. I told the price is too high and so if they would like to come down to about $700.00. But the dealership didn't accept it. I then called Discount Muffler and brakes and the Good Year Auto Tech Service Center. Discount Muffler quoted $480 + Tax. Good Year Auoto Tech Service quoted $600 + Tax and when I asked them to beat the Discount Muffler price, they did the same Job for $415 + Tax. And this is with 2YR/24,000 mile Warrenty from Good Year Auoto Tech. Anderson VW was asking much more than DOUBLE the price a reputed Auto service center was asking. It's definetely true the VW Dealer will put better genuine VW parts and the Good year would not. But the difference in price for the parts amounts to abosolutely less than $100. Probably about $70 to be precise. ( Prices in their invetory are bloated prices). So, Anderson VW could do this job for $500 with Genuine parts with decent amount of profit. But they are asking more than double of what is reasonable. THIS IS VERY PREDATORY SERVICE PRACTISE. Dealer is the only one who sells genuine parts. So, VW owners have no choice. If you need genuine parts go to the dealer and pay as much as they ask, even if it is more than the value of whole car. This is real bad predatory business! I would recommend all to stay away from Anderson VW dealer for service. More

My VW Tiguan and I recently relocated from the Indianapolis area. It was having door lock issues. I phoned Anderson explaining that I was new in town. I was able to schedule an appointment for a day convenient for me. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted. Derek discussed the lock issues with me. He also did an inspection of the car. I took a seat in the comfortable waiting area while the technician worked on my car. Fresh coffee was available. Periodically Derek checked in with me with updates. We took the approach that we would tackle the obvious and go from there. Upon completion of the service my washed and towel dried Tiguan was ready to go. I am delighted that I was able to locate my new VW dealer closeby in Crystal Lake. Definately the only dealer in my Tiguan's life! When it's time to buy a new VW it's the only place I'll be going to. More
