Fast Service lacking the wow I stopped in 6/13 for 10k service on my GTi, no appointment in servicexpress so that was convenient. The service rep told me it would be between 45min I stopped in 6/13 for 10k service on my GTi, no appointment in servicexpress so that was convenient. The service rep told me it would be between 45min to an 1hr 15min. And made sure that fit my schedule. Great so far. They were complete in about 50min. So right in the window as stated. I'm happy at this point. Until I drive off in my just serviced and just "washed" car. I guess saying it was washed was a bit generous. It was still wet so hard to tell. When I got to my destination I can see all of the rag marks on the car like they wiped it down with something not clean. And then on the hood there was a big greasy hand print from the service tech closing the hood. My car actually was now dirtier than when I brought it in. This is unacceptable as far as a car wash. So although the service was fast the wash was not a wash at all. Very disappointed. More

Terrible experience with assistant manager and incompetent m After having my gti towed to this terrible dealership,I starting by talking to Josh, who wasn't to bad. It's when I started to deal with the assistant After having my gti towed to this terrible dealership,I starting by talking to Josh, who wasn't to bad. It's when I started to deal with the assistant manager Matt that all the terrible things that happen with customer satisfaction went downhill! First Matt has incompetent mechanics working him. They completely misdiagnosed my misfire as needing new fuel injectors,seals,coil packs, spark plugs, decarb of my intake and a new rear main seal which would of been $2500.00 bucks. After myself needing to call them to find out any updates about my car I was gloriously put on the phone with a wonderful person named John that has the personality of a sloth. He couldn't tell me if my car waso in the same solar system but did inform that my car was MISDIAGNOSED by, as Matt calls them, a "professional" mechanic. And that NOW it was in need of, ready, new cylinder, valves, timing chain and tensioner for a new grand total of $5000.00 So after speaking to Matt the assistant manager mind you and telling him how that was a very big oops he wanted to argue with me that there is no way his mechanic could of saw that in the beginning and that after starting to swap the fuel injectors that the car didn't need the "professional" mechanic figured it wasn't that issue at all. So while I told him that was more than I could afford and said I wanted my car out of there and I'm not paying for a misdiagnosis, he told me he wasn't releasing my car to a tow truck until payment. I said ok that's fine I will figure it out and after that he said well" I guess you need the money more than us so I'll eat the diagnosis" and then hung up. I called him back wanting a email for the diagnosis and said no way , without payment he's not giving me anything. OK fine, release my car and keep the diagnosis. So finally he released my car from Anderson vw jail, still never admitting fault or trying to work something out. Oh he did say NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE AGAIN!! Yea, don't worry about that! Just a fyi, be careful if you bring your car to Anderson vw cause you might be in for a very rude awakening! More

DENT IN FENDER I took my VW in for service because my AC went out. I had a warranty I bought from VW. They told me they had to wait for the adjuster to look at it I took my VW in for service because my AC went out. I had a warranty I bought from VW. They told me they had to wait for the adjuster to look at it because they did not sell me a VW warranty. It took over a week for them to fix the problem. I got my car back and it sat at home over the weekend, and on Monday I found the dents in my fender, two of them. It was obvious the dents were made by the mechanic leaning on the fender. I talked to my neighbor who also had issues with VW and he tod me they would deny it, he was CORRECT. I was unhappy. I waited for a couple of weeks and went back and the service man and he said I think the fender is structural and they could not of done it. I opened the hood when I got home and was able to reach the back of the dents and push most of it out with my thumb. Structural my A**. It was BS. I noticed that they did not put the dust caps on the back of the AC refill lines. THEY DID NOT PUT ALL OF THE PARTS BACK. You better take pictures of your car before you send it in for service. They are not nice people. I will never buy from them again. More

Matthew was extremely helpful. When I dropped my car off, I notified him that I had a meeting in 45 minutes and also an interview in the afternoon, so I would need to leave if the car would take a while to l I notified him that I had a meeting in 45 minutes and also an interview in the afternoon, so I would need to leave if the car would take a while to look at. Within 5 minutes of me telling him that, he had a new Chevrolet Suburban from the Enterprise company waiting for me, due to lack of loaner cars, in the front of the dealership all cleaned and gas in it as I was on my way to Downers Grove. When I returned in the afternoon to get my car, not only had they cleaned it, but it had rained since they cleaned it and he had the cleanup wash it again. Matthew went above and beyond helping me with the service of my vehicle, but also made me feel very welcome there. He asked me how my interview went and proceeded to talk ask about how my day went. You should be extremely proud to say that Matthew is an employee at your dealership. I see him as an asset to your team. Thank you Matthew for making my VW service experience a great one.
