Happy surprise We took my wife's 2011 Town and Country with nearly 200,000 miles on it in to have the check engine light turned off. Unfortunately it turned out to b We took my wife's 2011 Town and Country with nearly 200,000 miles on it in to have the check engine light turned off. Unfortunately it turned out to be one of the catalytic converters which we then authorized to have fixed. However our service adviser Joseph Confer commented on a small internal engine noise that I had ignored and insisted it be checked out. That problem turned out to be cam and valve train wear which would require a top end rebuild. I had also noticed an oil leak and was told that the source of that was a pan gasket. I was debating the wisdom of an expenditure of that magnitude on a vehicle of that vintage and miles when I got a call back from Joe saying that when we had bought the vehicle we had gotten the lifetime driveline warranty which I had totally forgotten. That made the problem one of just the catalytic converter and a gasket so we went ahead. However, after completion it was determined that the vehicle had a cracked flywheel as well. Fortunately that was covered by the warranty as well. To top it all off being a business owner I had always bought my tires at fleet rate. Joseph informed me they had a premium tire on sale at a buy 3 get one free deal. That had been next on my list and after checking my tire dealer who could do no better I took advantage of that as well. I am very happy with the outcome of a vehicle that I was considering getting rid of now I'll drive the wheels off and let them fix it under warranty again. More

Jeep Windshield Wiper Issue On April 13, 2018 our 2016 Jeep Cherokee had a problem with the passenger side windshield wiper not working. I arrived at Van Andel & Flikkema at 3:1 On April 13, 2018 our 2016 Jeep Cherokee had a problem with the passenger side windshield wiper not working. I arrived at Van Andel & Flikkema at 3:15 pm asking for help. I was surprised how immediate the help came. Marie and the team got right on it. While I waited Marie kept me updated and I was pulling out the parking lot with the wiper fixed (at no charge) by 3:45 pm. I was really impressed with Marie and the promptness of her team. I believe the other person involved was Jake Waber who also was really great. More

engine was saved due to Joseph's diligence Have never used a dealer for service,but thought I would give Van Andel & Flikkema a try because of their excellent reputation. I bought a used Jeep Have never used a dealer for service,but thought I would give Van Andel & Flikkema a try because of their excellent reputation. I bought a used Jeep and have had it regularly serviced over the last two years. Two weeks ago,again regular service, Joe inspected the jeep after the service was completed. He found some oil had been leaking on the back of the engine block. He recommended an oil dye test. This is a 10 year old jeep,it could be expected to see some oil residue on the engine block. Joe was suspicious,and I went ahead with the dye test. I returned the next day for the inspection. The head gasket was starting to go bad. I elected to leave the jeep for further service. Joe fit me into the schedule. During the repair, Joe again inspected the engine and called to recommend having the head machined. Good thing, once inspecting the engine further, I ended up having rings and rod bearings replaced. Come to find out,these issues are for my year jeep. Had Joe not been diligent, I would have lost the engine, as others have. Joe saved me alot of money not having to replace the engine and I know the quality of parts Joe recommended. A replacement engine may have had the same defective parts as the original and I would be at square one again More
