We are really sorry that this customer feels that they had a terrible experience with us and, while we truly appreciate our customer's honest feedback, we couldn't disagree with these assertions more wholeheartedly. This customer shopped all over town, received a bunch of different quotes, and ended up being confused by the different rebates and terms that Chevy offers currently on the Volt. Frankly, I get confused sometimes, so I actually understand this. However, this customer was combative and hostile with us from the beginning of this transaction. Frankly, the person writing all of this nonsense isn’t even a buyer on the deal. Let me address each of these items one by one so we can put this transaction behind us once and for all. The cargo cover is standard equipment on the Volt. The customer received this feature at no additional cost like all Volt owners. There must have have been some confusion here because the customer did want an additional feature for their vehicle that was identified as a cargo shade. It is an accessory we have gotten for a number of our hatchback style vehicles so we sold one to them and promised we would order it. Chevy didn’t offer it but we figured we could get it from one of our aftermarket suppliers. After making efforts to find this for them and discovering that we could not get one, the customer received a credit for the cost of this item. This isn't "fraud" just simple human error and for this I apologize. As to the accusation that we do not stock brochures so we can " keep you in the dark," we have a giant 4' x 3' model book in the middle of our showroom with all of the specs, features, and options of every car Chevy makes. Plus, with the advent of the internet, all of the specs of all of our vehicles are readily available online and all of our staff have computers on their desks. We have made a business decision to try and do the right thing for the environment and not be wasteful. This is just an absurd accusation. Here is the thing that really has upset this customer (which shockinly isn't mentioned in this review.) Almost 3 FULL WEEKS after buying this vehicle from us and financing all of the accessories (I think they ordered every accessory GM makes) they found pricing from a dealer that was less than what they paid with us. All in, I think it was approximately $200 they would have saved. At that point, with the finance contract cashed and the deal long since complete, we did not think it was appropriate to refund this amount of money. Here is what I really find interesting; this customer went online, researched all of the accessories they wanted, printed a list with all of the pricing that THEY wanted to pay, and brought it to us during the original sales process. It wasn't our price list, it was theirs! Further, after what I imagine to be a fairly exhaustive shopping process, they bought the car from us. I don't think we are even the closest Chevy dealer to their home. They bought from us because we gave them the best deal. I don’t know anything about the accessory pricing they received after the fact but I know whoever gave them the pricing didn’t beat the price we put together for them on the Volt, though I wish they had. To give you guys a real sense of what we are dealing with here, this is the third revision of this review that this customer has posted. The first was an ALL CAPS diatribe that was difficult to understand, to say the least. It went on and on about all of our employees being liars and cheaters and how all we do at Bill Fox Chevrolet is commit fraud. It wasn't until I began to consider pursuing a defamation complaint that the customer toned things down to this. We work really hard to take care of people and I am proud of the reputation we have built in this town as an honest place to do business. Frankly, I think this review speaks for itself. The hundreds of reviews posted all over the web about the good work we do here more accurately describe our business. For almost 50 years, we have been proudly selling and servicing cars in Rochester Hills, MI. Are we perfect? Heck no we aren't. Does almost anything in this review reflect reality?? Absolutely not. Again, we love to hear from our customers but this is a rare instance where we really felt that perception and reality didn't line up. Thanks for reading...
