NOBO Time wasters. 100%. I was the only person in the showroom - outside of service and parts customers, I had the entire dealership to myself. NOBODY else was there to buy or trade a vehicle. This should have been my first huge red flag but at the time I took it as an opportunity to be the focus of attention. Capitalize on me folks. Wow was I wrong. Each time the sales person (Jessica) went to "get numbers", it was 10, 15, pushing 20 minutes. In the sales manager office the guys were watching car racing on their computers. They weren't even trying to hide it. Nobody there seemed to have any interest whatsoever in selling cars. Don't get me wrong, I like car racing and I sometimes goof off at work when its slow. But holy cow, these guys take it to the next level Maybe if car racing had some kind of a TV time out, or a halftime, they could have pulled away to you know, worked. Unfortunately this race had no yellow flags. Other sales people were mostly eating at their desk, standing by the window waiting for a customer to pull up, or what I saw most: on their cell phones. Maybe they were texting/emailing online customer sales leads. Possible. Also possible they were just surfing the internet, gaming, messaging buddies, who knows. They don't work for me so I don't care, and the bosses were watching the races anyway and they obviously didn't care either. If they are commission based sales people (which I think they likely are) they decide their own destiny, but I am just trying to get across my point that the management is sound asleep at the wheel here. I've bought a lot of cars in my time. A lot, I am older, I had several children who each drive and I help multiple relatives - I am the official family go-to guy for most things automotive -- buying, selling, repairs, etc. I know the dealership sales games. Its a dance, I get it. I've had good sales people, I've had complete con artists and everything in between, no matter the brand, new or used, in Tulsa, in OKC, in Nevada, Ohio, Florida and likely on Pluto if there is a used space ship lot there -- enough said. Fowler Toyota of Tulsa is just another dot on a very large map, lets not kid each other here. I called Fowler to ask about a certain new vehicle their website showed. A certain vehicle, so a specific model, a certain model year, an exact color, very particular options and a specific MSRP. In other words I wasn't there to maybe test drive multiple Camrys, possibly kick some Corolla tires, consider a Tundra or 2 two, mull-over a Tacoma -- I was there for one particular VIN and NOTHING ELSE, and I could not have stressed this enough. I was shopping vehicle, not payment, not terms, not trade value. They showed to have the exact vehicle I wanted, which was my only reason to ever make the drive there. That said, no shocker but the vehicle my salesperson Jessica and the Fowl'r website specifically said was available was.... not there when I arrived to the ghost town showroom. Sold. Gone. Stolen? Who knows. And I wish she hadn't told me this, but she did, it was "sold about a month ago". Seriously? Its still on their website today, 2 days later, I kid you not. Jessica told me when I initially called their number she was "looking right at it". I assumed (I can spell assume, so I already know) that when she said she was "looking right at it" that she meant physically, sitting on row 3 in slot 12, between a red one and a blue one, on the asphalt under the bright Oklahoma sun. Nope. She was using the same junk website I was, Fowl'r.com, probably on her cell phone. Evidently I failed to ask her to lay hands on it, which is 100% on me. Pro tip of the day, always call the salesperson on their mobile phone, ask that they get the keys and stand next to the vehicle because you want to hear the horn honk over the phone. I said enough. I said too much. My point - I had a specific vehicle I wanted. Fowl'r showed it. Fouler didn't have it. They had to the opportunity to source an identical twin and sell it to me, and they didn't want to. But... I bought exactly what I wanted. Over the phone from a Toyota dealer in Midland, TX. 516 miles from Tulsa. My new Toyota will be here late Thursday on a trailer and I will take delivery in a hotel parking lot. Its a bit strange but I am excited about it. I've never been to Midland TX. Its in far west Texas, the guy says they are close to Odessa, like I know where that is, right? I've only been to the Dallas area a few times. That dealership actually wanted to sell the vehicle. I got the exact deal that I was wanting to make with Fowl, so my expectations were clearly reasonable. So reasonable that I left enough meat on the bone that Toyota of Midland is able to pay a driver to drive 1,000 miles round trip, hotel, food, gas, all in order to get me MY vehicle. Holy cow, Fouler, did you miss the boat. Some positives are in order. Dealership is nice. Its not Jim Norton fancy, but its clean and accommodating, and lets face it, somebody has to pay the overhead for the gigantic water falls and show room elevator at Norton. Fowler was clean and organized. The lot was neat with no empty slots. I give the credit to a lot porter who works hard, keeping vehicles strait, spaced, color balanced, in order which is something most people take for granted.. Color selection is typical for Toyota, about 12 shades of neutral. Landscaping was nice and no trash on the lot. I walked by the parts and service area a few times - friendly folks, and again, clean and organized. Great restrooms. The building shows its age a little, from a water damaged showroom ceiling to leather (vinyl on a good day) chairs that were about to fall apart. Again I said a lot. I did notice where Fowler comments on positive reviews, but seems afraid or embarrassed to comment on 1 and 2 star ones. Why is that? I am not looking to argue or be negative. I gave you guys a chance to sell a vehicle. You failed once, twice, then three times, and you shouldn't have. Not only did you waste my time, but you wasted your own dealing with me. And for that reason, I'll continue to use and recommend Jim Norton in Tulsa, and, yikes, Toyota of Midland Tx for anyone wanting to buy over the phone. More
Do Not Buy A Car From Fowler, They Are ThievesI bought Do Not Buy A Car From Fowler, They Are Thieves I bought a car from Fowler and somehow got stuck with a $4,000 service contract (11% interest over 6 Do Not Buy A Car From Fowler, They Are Thieves I bought a car from Fowler and somehow got stuck with a $4,000 service contract (11% interest over 6 years could add up to $8,000 onto my bill if I did my math correctly). When I got the loan agreement from my bank and saw the $4,000 Bill added at the bottom I went in and told the dealership to cancel it and that I didn't ask for that and it was a mistake. The guy got nervous and pretended at first that he could not find me in the computer. Then he he suddenly became able to find me in the computer, but claimed that he could not cancel the service contract because "it had not activated yet". So they pretty much refused to let me cancel with some xxxxxxxx excuses. I left and waited a little over a month then sent them an email asking if it was activated yet, and I did not get an answer. So some months later I went into the office again thinking it was for sure activated. I didn't want to waste my time and have to keep going into the office just for them to tell me they can't cancel it. So they finally cancel it but only refund me $2,500 of the $4,000 for 28,000 miles of service even though I told them I did not want the contract AT ALL, MULTIPLE TIMES. I said I don't think I should be charged anything because I didn't want the the service contract, and I was told "sorry for that to happen you would have had to cancel within 30 days". So I asked to speak to the manager. He gave me the same xxxxxxxx excuses claiming that they were not able to cancel the contract until it activated but I also had to cancel within 30 days. So I was basically robbed $1,500 at 11% interest over 6 years... $2,800 for a contract that I did not ask for and I never received ANY service. More
I sold a car here and called multiple times requesting status of check. 1 month after selling the car, and 10 days after the loan was paid off at my bank, the overhead was still not received. I was told t status of check. 1 month after selling the car, and 10 days after the loan was paid off at my bank, the overhead was still not received. I was told that I would receive a call back each time. I called for two weeks straight and never received a call back. Only after I drove to Fowler and sat for two hours did I that someone told me that I was still waiting on some paperwork. I am a very understanding person if there is open communication Between customer and dealer. Zero stars More

So I accepted this offer only to learn that there was a bait and switch. They told me that Toyota could not offer both. They switched us to First Fidelity and took away the 05 financing. The paperwork financing with Toyota had proceeded to the extent that there was now a lien on the car. It took two months to get the lien released even though it had never been finalized. On top of that, the extended warranty that was provided to me were tied to the Toyota lien and turned out to be invalid. I contacted Fowler and the financial officer located the valid warranty was tied to the First Financial contract. So we had been driving the car using an invalid warranty all the while. . More

They are a prime example of the dealerships that create this type of distrust and disconnect between dealership and customer. I originally contacted Fowler Toyota on September 20th, inquiring about a launch edition Supra they had in stock. This was when I found out they wanted $20,000 over msrp. Now I know when the Supra’s first released, dealerships were asking $20k over msrp. But these dealerships were east coast dealerships, and they were asking this much because the deliveries to the west coast were delayed. Because of this, a lot of the west coast customers were trying to buy in other areas, temporarily increasing the demand. Plus of course, there was a hype factor at that time. But even then, the average at that time (July and August), was around $10k over msrp. In late September, after a lot of the hype had faded, Fowler received their launch edition Supra. This is when I contacted them and discovered their blinded greed of $20k over msrp. I of course laughed at them and told them good luck with that. The car sits for months and months. Of course, no one is stupid enough to pay that amount, and they probably had a lot of potential customers laughing at them. Eventually Fowler transfers the car to their Tulsa location, in hopes of finding someone stupid there. Now they have had this car for at least 7 months. No one has bought it and at $20k over msrp, no one will. I contacted them again since there is plenty of Supra inventory (including launch editions) and the new 2021’s (with substantial updates), are hitting the lots soon. I figured maybe they have come to their senses. Nope, they are now asking around $30,000 over msrp. They are trying to sell the car (that has a msrp of $56,245), for $98,000!! This dealership must not think their customers have any intelligence. It took me 10 mins to get online and contact 3 dealerships that are TRYING to sell their launch editions for almost $5k UNDER msrp. And I am not referring to dealerships thousands of miles away. These are dealerships within 500 miles from them. Dealerships within a 500 miles radius, are trying to sell the same car for $45,000 less. And even at $45,000 less, the car is obviously not selling and still sitting on the lot. I expected more from Fowler. They have let their greed blind them from their competition, and has caused a detachment in their reality. Their greed was so great, that they missed their chance to sell the car back when it was in demand. But instead of realizing their reality, they became further detached and tried to sell the car for even more. They simply flew to close to the sun this time. To try and make $45,000 off someone is either extremely greedy or you are playing your customers for a fool. Your managers seriously need to be terminated and your owners should take a step back and look at where they are now. What are you trying to do here? This is not normal or healthy behavior for a legitimate car dealership. More

I live outside Okc, they are in Tulsa, meaning a 3 hour round trip not counting time wasted at the dealership. In three emails 'Cheyenne' the "Business Development Agent (Tulsa)" confirms they have the FJ and asks if I know where "they" are located, not the FJ, "they". I arrive at the dealership and am greeted by a young salesman I'll call 'Slim'. Told Slim I'd gone through Cheyenne so he runs off to find her only to return explaining her position (he didn't know that beforehand?) and that he will be helping me. He asks if I am there for the tan FJ, no, the black one. He says that one is in Norman...30 minutes from where I work versus a 3 hour drive!!! Slim tries to offer me what amounts to 1/2 a tank of gas and to arrange the financing (self-serving just a bit are we?) to make it up to me for the wasted trip. I ignore it and ask for a manager so he trots off and a few moments later I see him pulling the tan FJ around front, then comes back with a another guy he introduces as a manager whose entire demeanor the entire time came across as disingenuous. We'll call this guy 'Oblivious'. Oblivious apologizes (unconvincingly) for the 'confusion' and again offers to show me the tan FJ, offers the same 1/2 tank a gas Slim offered and bumps it to a full tank when I was vocally dissatisfied with his BS resolution. Oblivious then makes a show of explaining that they do not lure customers into their store under false pretenses with the intent to sell them something else, something I hadn't alluded to. I told them I typically write 3 reviews each time I visit a dealership and theirs was going poorly at which point he asks "but Slim and I will get a good one right"? He felt his pathetic attempts at 'making it right' deserved a glowing review, again, self-serving. Pro tip: if you're going to scam and deceive people for a living you'd better learn to read your mark before pulling your BS because one size routine does not fit all. Bottom line is I'm pretty convinced I was brought into that dealership with the intent to try and sell me a different FJ than the one I specially asked for and steal a sale from the Norman store, everything about that experience was shady. The fact that they immediately went out and moved the tan FJ back as I was trying to leave the lot tends to reinforce this. More
