Christian, It is very unfortunate to hear that you've had a negative experience at our dealership, as we strive for world class service with every one of our guests. The assertions made, about both the damage and subsequent chain of events, required a complete review of the interaction. As mentioned, you called in to ask about the complimentary detail and to schedule a recall. During this conversation it was discovered that the Jeep had been detailed for delivery in February, and that nothing further was owed or promised by us. All parties signed the appropriate "We-owe", thus stating our obligations were complete. Nonetheless we openly offered to have our in-house detail crew clean it for you, as it was going to be here for service and we believe in taking care of our guest. The only stipulation was it had to be here at 8:30 AM, as this was your appointment time. Just after 11 AM the Jeep arrived and we began the check in process, during which it was noted "too dirty to see [any scratches}" and "layer of dirt" on the initial walk around. It was then that you were informed that we potentially might have to keep your Jeep overnight to complete, and that it would be cleaned by our detail team. This was obviously a point of contention, as the language and yelling directed at our service advisor was heard throughout the dealership. Still, our offer to detail without anything owed remained. Our Sales Manager stepped in and offered to have a full offsite detail performed, if that would de-escalate the situation. It was agreed upon and we provided a Jeep loaner for the duration as an overnight was needed. Once the recall was complete we delivered your Jeep to our detailing partner where their findings echoed ours. Filthy, muddy, and very dirty- it is a Jeep Wrangler of course and used in 4WD trail situations. Jeep even outlines the wash and care required in the owner's manual, as it is the customers obligation to remove dirt, mud, grime, other corrosives as quickly as possible. They completed the detail and returned the Jeep back the following day. Later that night, going over the Jeep with your cell phone light, some scratches were found that you felt were caused by the detail we performed. Again we found a point of contention, as yelling and cursing ensued. Pollard Jeep once again raised our hand, and offered to help our guest. We explained that Black is a hard color to not have swirl marks, and that dirt, mud, grime left on the Jeep will do that. Jokingly (we think) you mentioned this was the first time the Jeep had been washed, and we offered to have the Jeep professionally buffed, as this can help with swirl marks especially on Black vehicles. We set an appointment for 9 AM the following day, informed our tech, and were ready and waiting. At 11:30 AM when you finally arrived, our tech had moved on to other vehicles, and was unable to complete your Jeep. As expected by this time, yelling and cursing ensued. The following day we fielded no less than 50 harassing phone calls from you, demanding to know "who to sue for thousands" and more yelling and screaming. Pollard Jeep has tried to be a great partner in your Jeep ownership, but it is clear in this instance we are not in agreement.
