This dealership does not honor quoted, guaranteed prices! We attempted to buy a vehicle today. To avoid the toilsome price negotiations that often come with buying a car, we chose to utilize USAA's car buying service and received a guaranteed price certificate for $30,670 for a vehicle on a USAA certified dealer's lot. We then contacted the dealer who gave us some more information on the car, including a price that did not match the USAA guaranteed price. This was expected because we assumed USAA negotiates the price ahead of time with their certified dealers. To be certain, we then provided the dealership with the guaranteed price certificate so they they could confirm that they would honor the USAA guaranteed price. They confirmed in writing that they would. We then arranged a time to meet and finalize the purchase. Prior to arriving at the dealership, we researched the trade in value for our 2002 Yukon XL and found that is was worth just over $5000 as a trade in. Once we arrived, we checked out the vehicle and realized that it did not have several of the features that were stated by the dealer in their literature. Their video stated that it had a sunroof and DVD system, their written description said it had a navigation system, and their correspondence sent to me by their representative said it was the "Denali" trim package. It had NONE of these things. We then began talking with the used car sales manager, Jeff, who quoted us a price $5000 higher than our guaranteed price while low balling our trade in at less than half the trade in value. When we re-presented him with the guaranteed price certificate and actual trade in value, he refused to honor or recognize either of them. When we informed him of the discrepancies in the literature, he made no attempt to adjust value for them. We understand that this was a good price, however, we confirmed the price, several times in fact, presented the price guarantee several ways and were prepared to purchase the vehicle on the spot, despite it missing several key features. But instead of driving home in a vehicle where we paid the advertised price, we left frustrated. Jeff became rude and even turned his back on us as we spoke to him. He let us know that he had only been there for two weeks and would not lose his job over a negotiation on a $36,000 car. The frustrating part is, we didn't even want to negotiate! That's why we used the USAA car buying service and were willing to pay the asking price on the guaranteed price certificate! We walked in with an agreed upon price, backed by a guarantee from a major national bank, and this dealership raised the price by $5000 on a vehicle that contained fewer then the listed features and low balled our trade in!!! I was in a hurry to buy a new car before incentives expired. The sales cycle started with the internet, but really restarted once I arrived at the dealership to checkout what we discussed online. The t expired. The sales cycle started with the internet, but really restarted once I arrived at the dealership to checkout what we discussed online. The transaction should have been quick, but dragged on. I had to leave for an doctor's appointment, but promised to be back right after the appointment, the salesman agreed to be ready when I returned. When I returned, the sales manager had sent the salesman home...I would have expected at least a phone call before I drove back to the dealership. I bought a car from a better dealership the next day. More
Dealership did a VERY poor job with financing. They said one thing, but did NOT follow up on it. I wanted to make payments electronically, they assigned me a bank who doesn't have that capability. Recommend individuals get financing BEFORE seeing this dealer. I will NOT buy another car from them, period! More
I was extremely over charge for a fuel pump in one of our service vehicles. I had 2 other vehicles done recently and it cost approxiamately $600 for fuel pump change out in the tank. I was charge $1500.00. T service vehicles. I had 2 other vehicles done recently and it cost approxiamately $600 for fuel pump change out in the tank. I was charge $1500.00. There was a minor tow bill charge approxiamately 10 miles. It hurt! Felt hostage since the vehicle was broke down and towed there and I felt I was taken advantage of, bummer... More
I had a fantastic experience with Century Chevy, Britt, and Sam. I came in to purchase a used car I saw on the interent. The entire dealership took incredible care of me while I was at their dealership. and Sam. I came in to purchase a used car I saw on the interent. The entire dealership took incredible care of me while I was at their dealership. Britt knew everything about the vehicle even though it WASN'T a Chevy. She took the time to learn the features of the one I was looking at before I even got there. The GM Ray made me feel like he really wanted to earn my business and I appreciated that. I will be back to Century for another vehicle even though I have never really been a Chevy person. I don't care what they are selling at this point...I will buy it because it will be from them. More
I recently purchaced a new silverado after an extensive search for the best deal.I visited several dealerships along the front range as well as several dealarships in other ststes.Although I'm partial to G search for the best deal.I visited several dealerships along the front range as well as several dealarships in other ststes.Although I'm partial to GM products I shopped the Fords and Dodges to get the most truck for my money. After weighing all my options it was clear that no other dealership from any one of the "BIG 3" was able to offer the selection and price that I found at century chevrolet. Hat's off to the folks at century. More
Richard found exactly the Cruze we wanted. We were new to the area and just happened upon Century Chevrolet and boy were we lucky to find them. We love our Cruze, great mileage, really a driver's car. W to the area and just happened upon Century Chevrolet and boy were we lucky to find them. After 10 years of waiting to buy a vehicle I figured I give the Internet Sales a chance I first dealt with Janelle and then Erica who did a great job of giving me the information I needed on the car pric give the Internet Sales a chance I first dealt with Janelle and then Erica who did a great job of giving me the information I needed on the car price and USAA Car Buyer program discounts. I was a bit disappointed that she wasn't the actual person involved with the final sale of the vehicle but another sales person: Kirby finished the transaction. Kirby was very well versed on the Chevy Traverse and all of its options and went on the final test drive with us. No hard sell here (maybe since I already had a final price for the vehicle before I came in) but that was sure a breath of fresh air to deal with a salesperson who was informative and not pushy. Only "haggle" I had to do was on my trade-in and Kirby only had to "go to the used car manager" once since I already knew what the trade-in was worth we didn't have to go back and forth too much. After Kirby was done with all the paperwork (Kind of sad that in this day and age everything is still done manually and same information has to be entered over and over again.) Even with that, the process was pretty efficient. Next came the Finance department at Darcy's desk. This is more of a soft sell but at least you don't feel like you can't get out of the door like some other dealerships. Of course you get initially two options of include everything (coding, extended warranty, insurance gap coverage) or (gap coverage and coding) and its only shown as a single price based on the monthly payments for the entire car purchase and the additional options . Would have been nice to see the breakdown but I didn’t ask and I don’t know if they would have given it to me if I did. You are not pressured if you decline so for that I'm grateful for Darcy's professionalism (even the dealership’s ethics if that’s their standard mode of operation). I was also pleased with Darcy’s ability to find me a loan that beats USAA loan pricing With horror stories about bate and switch on internet pricing and unethical dealers, I am more the happy to give this dealership my recommendation for showing me the vehicle I was interested in, honoring the agreed upon pricing and giving me an option to choose what additional options meet my needs. This was only the 2nd Great Car buying experience I’ve had in my 25 years of purchasing vehicles and worth the 70 mile drive from Colorado Springs. More
Prior to finding Century, I took my car (2008 Chevy Impala SS) to GO chevy down in Westie (was the first dealer I found on Google). Go is a typical large dealership. No personalized service, you aren't Impala SS) to GO chevy down in Westie (was the first dealer I found on Google). Go is a typical large dealership. No personalized service, you aren't a name, you're just a service tag. You aren't gonna bring your car back? Who cares...they do a zillion jobs a day. I was having an issue and stopped in early one Saturday morning, telling the service manager I was willing to wait, but I needed it fixed ASAP. Was told he just couldn't get to it today, but if I wanted to rent a car for the weekend I could pick it up on Monday. Not an ounce of concern for my problem (not to mention I waited 10 minutes in the service lane before any approached me!) Not happening! Fast forward to that Monday. Took the car to Century, no appointment, no anything. Was in and out in 2 hours. Had them order some replacement exterior trim as mine was fading. Took a few weeks to get (GM's fault, not Century's). Between my ordering the trim and my next visit, my stabilitrak went out. I was just under 1,000 miles outside my certified preowned warranty, so I knew I'd be out of pocket for the repair. When I went back in, my service advisor greeted me by name before looking up my car (he remembered), knew exactly why I was there, and got me a shuttle ride to my office. Around lunch I got a call, and was informed they could get my powertrain warranty (that's good till 100,000 miles) to cover the almost $700 repair that I needed because a bearing was bad as well as the sensor. I was floored. I didn't really have an extra $700 to part with, and this was GREAT news. I know they could've just let me pay for it and probably made more on the labor and parts in the process, but being honest and finding a way to help me out (BIG TIME) earned them a customer for life! Buying a car is always a little nerve wracking. You must do your homework and know what things are worth, after all, the dealer has! But John Clark was a joy...never tried to pull any of the 'tricks' I've do your homework and know what things are worth, after all, the dealer has! But John Clark was a joy...never tried to pull any of the 'tricks' I've had pulled on me at other dealerships and, as a car-smart woman, I appreciate that. He's honest and friendly. Even helped us get a better deal than we thought we would get based on incentives we weren't aware of. Walked out paying LESS than we originally were willing to, with more car than we were negotiating for. LOVE the car too! Got everything I wanted and more. He has called to follow up, but not in an annoying way. I could have done without the finance guy...a little too hard-sell on the 'insurance' stuff (which I told him up-front I wasn't buying, regardless). I knew he was just doing his job, but it took way too long to say 'no' as many times as we had to say it. Thanks, John, for making the experience as pain-free as possible! More
