I had my vehicle brought into Four Stars Toyota for a service appointment because I had an oil leak, along with a knocking sound coming from the engine (Not good). This was the only service center in Altus with the highest ranked reviews, so I brought it here. The vehicle I own is not a Toyota, it’s a Kia Optima. One of the technicians took my car out for a test drive so they could hear and diagnose what the knocking sound could be. Minutes later, the service manager (Brandon), and the advisor (Dave), walk over to me in the waiting room, sit down, and inform me that my engine HAD SEIZED. Completely failed! Of all places, how could my vehicle be completely done? Especially at a service center. Just a few minutes later, Brandon had walked back into his office and called someone he knew personally who used to work for Kia. This individual told Brandon to inform me about the engine recall on my car. About 2 minutes after he got off his cell phone, Brandon has an email in his inbox, prints it out, and shows me the particular recall for my VIN number. I couldn’t believe what was happening. Brandon encouraged me after hearing the terrible news on my car, that this recall was written in black and white and I had all the ammo I needed to get a brand new engine rather than paying $10k out of pocket. Had Brandon and his team not taken the time to go above and beyond like they did, I would have never known about the recall. It amazes me because I never asked him to make a phone call like that, he just did it because this place is devoted to OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! And now, my car has a brand new engine at no cost to me. None!! My initial reaction to the situation was a panic, thinking I was forced to get a new vehicle. I am currently in the Air Force, and traveling to and from work is an absolute necessity for my lifestyle along with my fiancé. All of this happened right before Christmas, which was hard. But, I was given a service loaner vehicle to travel all the way home to Virginia for me and my fiancé to see our family for Christmas! Again, above and beyond. Big thanks to Brandon and his team in the service department. I am very fortunate and blessed to have come in contact with all the folks here! More

Last year, I took my toyota corolla in for a 60,000 mile check and it ended up costing me $2200! The service people "convinced" me to change my timing belt, water pump and head gasket because "they were go check and it ended up costing me $2200! Two days later, my check engine light came on, so I took my car back to Putnam Toyota. They tried to tell me that my gas injector must be faulty, but luckily, I consulted someone else about my check engine light problem-- so I wasn't so guilable this time. It turns out that the mechanic had forgotten to reconnect a hose. Now just this past weekend, my sister took her car into Putnam for a 30,000 mile check and two days later, the check engine light came on. She hasn't taken the car back to Putnum yet, but 2/2 is really poor quality work! More
