My appt was for 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:25, and check in was easy. I was told it would be done in 45 minutes. I returned at 4:15 and my vehicle had not even been taken into the shop yet. When it was done, we went to the cashier to check out. The invoice said n/c, so she assumed it was under warranty and closed it out. But my service was actually being covered by my reward points. Difficulty arose trying to get it done that way. I have spent hours with Ford Pass taking care of the glitches standing in the way. I have also spent ours trying to reach the only person at Fort Mill Ford who can handle my invoice. Doesn’t make sense to me, it’s such an easy fix. Yet four days of phone messages and glitch fixes, it is still not taken care of. I’ve done my part. I’ve tried other service help, the call center, direct voice mail to my service rep, I even tried to give the solution to the cashier! At every try, I was informed my service rep is the only one who can take care of it. Personally, I have the problem fixed. If the company wants to get the reward points they earned for the services rendered, then the service rep will need to reach me on the phone. No more messages 8 minutes before you close. No more call center telling me she’s unavailable. I will need to be reached by the ‘one and only’ person who can handle this. It is just too frustrating at this point for me to keep calling. No messages please. She needs to reach me. More
I purchased a used vehicle in Feb of 2020. Within a few months the backup camera went out and replaced under warranty without any issues. A few months later the APIM which is the video screen went out after it was out of warranty by 1600 miles. I had local dealer determine the issue (APIM). Called Fort Mill Ford to see if they could offer any warranty assistance since it was approx $900 to fix. This is where the disappointment began. I spoke with Jackie in service and she told me to bring in to make sure that was the problem. I did and it was and then got a $136 bill for diagnostic (already had the issue diagnosed). Then I scheduled an appointment with their answering service for the following week to fix. I call the day of since I have an 1 1/2 hour drive and I'm told I don't have an appointment. It must be scheduled by service not answering service. So I reschedule with Jackie for the next week. I call before to make sure and Jackie informed me someone must have made a mistake because I still don't have one scheduled. She was the one who "scheduled it". Finally I scheduled the third time and paid in advance for the part on Jan 2 of 2021. I finally get a call from her two weeks later and had my repair done on Feb 1, 2021. Needless to say I didn't receive a customer satisfaction review from her! More
Bobby in the service department was friendly, polite and the service was quick. I have had good luck with Fort Mill Ford service department on each visit. I came in with a check engine light on, did not have an appointment, service advisor Frank Arnold was able to have my vehicle repaired after a short wait. I purchased my first Explorer here back in 2011. I got my second one in 2017. And I have used Fort Mill Ford for all of my service needs. Frank has been my service adviser since day one. Although I cou my second one in 2017. And I have used Fort Mill Ford for all of my service needs. Frank has been my service adviser since day one. Although I could save a few dollars by going elsewhere for my oil changes and tires, Frank is the reason why I take my car to Fort Mill Ford for the different service needs. He not only knows my vehicle, but he knows me and my family. And that speaks volumes. More
Service is difficult to get a hold of.Dropped my car off Service is difficult to get a hold of. Dropped my car off at 7am for investigation of an electrical burning smell, oil change and tire rotation. Too Service is difficult to get a hold of. Service writer made no inquiry as to my Ford Pass points? Paid full price for service. This is fine, but I will be looking at cheaper, faster, more courteous options going forward. More
