Umberto Spinillo was very professional and knowledgeable of not only the Alfa Romeo that we purchased but he was also well versed in the other cars on the showroom floor. He made sure that we were taken car of not only the Alfa Romeo that we purchased but he was also well versed in the other cars on the showroom floor. He made sure that we were taken care of thru-out the entire process. I would definitely buy from him again. Even though we weren't purchasing a $500k car, Umberto made us feel as tho we were. Thanks to Umberto and Foreign Cars Charlotte for a great experience. Jamie & Aundria Grigg More

I would strongly caution people to stay FAR away from this dealership. I found my dream car a few days ago searching on cars.com at this dealership. After a few phone calls and texts to the sales manager this dealership. I found my dream car a few days ago searching on cars.com at this dealership. After a few phone calls and texts to the sales manager, Umberto S, I scheduled a viewing earlier today, 1/16/24 at 1:30pm. I live 2 hours away and made the drive with the anticipation to buy this car today. I arrived earlier than I anticipated at 12:45pm and he was assisting a client, which was fine because I was early. He instructed me to go ahead and look at the car presumably to make sure that it was, in fact, the one that I wanted. After he finished with his client, we did the walkaround of the car and found out that the frameless glass on the door did not roll down possibly due to the fact that the battery was dead! I'm sorry, but if you know you have a client coming to view a specific vehicle, maybe make sure that the car is ready to be viewed! It was determined that a new battery needed to be placed in the vehicle. Whilst waiting for the car to get power, Umberto called me over to work on figures for the vehicle, however; starting a conversation with "ok what do you want?" is a red flag. I wasn't ready to give my estimate of the vehicle as I hadn't driven it yet, I'd only walked around it and sat inside. Without even test driving it, Umberto kept trying to pressure me into working out a deal. After this debacle, we discussed my trade in, which is a 2024 BMW X6 with a TON of options. Instead of moving forward, he questioned my decision to go from a 2024 to an older model vehicle, to which I responded "It's not the year of the car, it's the make." Then made assumptions to my financial situation by stating "you do know the payments for this Aston are going to be more than your BMW right?" Do you think I would be looking at an Aston Martin or walking into this type of dealership if I couldn't afford one of the cars on your lot?? After STILL not being able to drive the car, I offered $95,000 for a $108,000 vehicle that I DID NOT DRIVE. I stated that was my BASE offer and they could go up from there, and once we reached a figure that we were both happy with, I would buy. Umberto went to his manager and came back with the trade in value for my vehicle of $66,000...That was an extreme lowball offer which I informed Umberto. That offer was amended to $72,000 which was a much better offer and I was prepared to move forward as long as I could drive the Aston first and reach a mutual price. After all of this, Umberto then became very aggressive and confrontational stating that they already reduced the price of this vehicle by $80,000. I'm sorry, what? I am well aware of how much these cars are going for BRAND NEW. This is a 4 year old 13k mile ridden car. It is not going to sell for the same price as one that is brand new. Anyone with common math knowledge would know that. He then began to exaggerate how much I was asking off of the car saying "Come on man, you think you can just walk into any dealership and ask for them to take $25,000 off the price of a car?" By my math, $108,000-$95,000 is $13,000. $72,000 - $66,000 is $6,000. Totaling $19,000. And I even said I could budge on the $95,000. You were the one that started the conversation with "what do you want" I told you what I wanted, you don't agree with it? Come back with another figure, don't get an attitude and belittle me to make yourself feel better. That's the word "negotiation" if you can't negotiate, you shouldn't be a car salesman. After two hours of this back and forth and the car STILL not having power, I asked for my license, registration, and key to my BMW back. They were still test driving my car! By the time I got my key back the Aston had power but, I was ready to go. Umberto's final words to me were "You know, if we were willing to give $25,000 off of this car, I would buy it for myself, not sell it to you!" Such a nice salesperson for a "high-end" dealership. I just purchased my first Aston Martin at age 64 from Sal Calabria and sealed the deal with him and Luis Pinto of the finance department. I have owned a lot of high-performance cars over the years including Calabria and sealed the deal with him and Luis Pinto of the finance department. I have owned a lot of high-performance cars over the years including 911s and Vipers and I had my heart set on a 600 HP Viper but the wife suggested we try an Aston Martin since we have already had Vipers. Sal answered all of my questions and after a great deal of research on Aston Martin Vantage V8's I decided to pull the trigger and purchase a beautiful Vantage V 8 Roadster from Sal that was listed on Ebay. I have always thought of Aston Martins as cars driven by Proper Gentlemen and Classy folks, not Old Rednecks. Wow, was I wrong. The lovely, beautiful, smooth driving car sounds and runs like an Insanely Angry Wicked Beast. What a Car. I cannot stop smiling and the wife says it is better than our prior high-performance cars and I agree with her 110%. We have not listened to the stereo much because we absolutely Love the sound of the engine. I appreciate Sal for helping me through an entirely stress-free sales transaction with Luis putting the Icing on the Cake by finalizing everything. I reside over 600 miles from Charlotte but we are planning a road trip this coming summer and our annual service will be performed at Foreign Cars of Charlotte. They have earned my trust through Sal and Louis. Thank you for making an Old Guy's Dream Come True. More
