I had just finished a lunch meeting and was driving toward the interstate to go back to my hometown of Manchester. I needed to go to the bathroom before I got back on the road. I have to travel a lot with my job, and I hate going into dirty bathrooms. I was passing Ford of Murfreesboro and it was a beautiful, shiny, and very clean looking building. I thought to myself, I bet they have a nice clean bathroom. I was not interested in trading cars. I was driving a very nice, new looking Taurus SHO. I had only owned it for two months. The only motivation to go into the dealership was to go to the bathroom. I pulled up to the front door, got out, and a very nice young man named Tavius Flynn opened the door of the dealership for me, said his name was Tavius and asked me how he could help. I said, the only way you can help me is to point me to the bathroom. He said, let me show you where it is, walked with me over to the side of the showroom, and pointed down the hall. I said, thanks, over my shoulder, and kept walking. I came out of the bathroom and walked directly to the front door where Tavius was waiting to open the door for me again. As he opened the front door, he said, man that's a nice looking Taurus. He said, it looks brand-new, how long have you had it? I said, I just got it two months ago. He said, do you like it? I said, I love it, but it's too small for me, I really need a pickup truck. I'm 6'4" and I weigh 260. The car is too small for me. He said, well let me find you a pickup truck. He said, we've got 28 acres of vehicles and I can find anything you want. I said, well before we both go to all that time and trouble you should know that I've already tried to trade out of that car at three different dealerships and they all said they couldn't finance me. He said, if you don't mind let me introduce you to my finance manager. His name is Mr. Will, and if anybody can get it done he can! So, I met Will. Not your typical finance manager. He said, we're part of a two hundred store group, and at this store we sell three hundred units a month. We have financing options available that other people just simply don't have. He said, if you'll pick out a truck with Tavius, I'll take care of the rest of it. He then said, Tavius, just go get whatever truck he wants and bring it up to the front door so he doesn't have to walk anywhere. So, I told Tavius what I wanted, he said, I'll be right back, make yourself comfortable, would you like anything to drink? I said, no I'm good I'll be waiting right here. In about five minutes, the truck I had described was at the front door waiting for me to test drive. I loved it! It fit me like a glove. A few minutes later, Tavius put their proposal on the desk in front of me. I gave them a counter offer and they accepted it. No games, no pressure. Will, the finance manager, got my deal approved for 7% less APR than the deal I had made previously at another dealership on the Taurus. My payment on the 2018 wasn't that much higher than the two thousand fifteen Taurus. I was very happy. Driving home that night in my new truck, I thought about how blessed I am, how nice people Tavius and Will are, what a great dealership to do business with, and how much I appreciate a good clean bathroom. Kayla was very helpful, straightforward (which I appreciate), and kept in contact with me the entire time. She didn't beat around the bush or try to convince me of anything other than what I needed. Service work and Kyle Kyle and the service team did an excellent job not only with the vehicle, but also assisting me in managing my 80,000 mile checkup. The technician was thorough and the work was completed in a timely manner. We did find I needed new rear brakes so we went ahead and did that as well.
