Came in with my wife to buy a new Lincoln Navigator L Reserve since they had one on the lot. After an hour and a half drive to get there the salesperson wouldn't let us test drive it. We had to go over Reserve since they had one on the lot. After an hour and a half drive to get there the salesperson wouldn't let us test drive it. We had to go over numbers first. We were all cash buyers and already looked at the window sticker and were fine with the price. We asked if we could test drive it again and the guy clearly said no. Asked for the manager who came out and said we couldn't test drive it either. We pressed on him as to why he would take this approach to selling cars. He explained that they only had two on the lot and this one already 900+ miles on it. He wouldn't let us test drive the other one either. Turns out the manager had been driving the Navigator L as his personal car and ran up the mileage. Now they were trying to sell it as a new car and also wanted to add $5,000 on top of MSRP. Good luck buddy. I am not dropping $100k cash on a used car. Walked out immediately. I was able to buy the exact Navigator L Reserve we wanted out of state at Napleton Lincoln in Glenview, IL. It's being shipped to my house instead of having to fight an hour and a half of traffic to pick it up. Super nice group at Napleton Lincoln. Didn't try to add $5k on to the MSRP. Actually gave me a little off of MSRP, which covered most of the shipping costs. Hard pass on Ford Lincoln of Smithtown. More
