I was looking into new crossover vehicles and after shopping around I stopped by this dealership to look at their inventory of Ford Escapes. Jay Heyman was so accommodating and took the time to show me what they had on their lot and made sure I got everything I was looking for in my new car. Obviously we were always happy and came back year after year. This time I was interested in a Lincoln MKX, and needed to go across the street. I worked with a newer salesman, Paul Su. Very nice guy. I had been searching for a specific exterior/interior color in addition to wanting the 2.7 which was harder to find. Paul found a vehicle that was coming in from NJ on June 5th. It was May 20th when I went in and left the deposit. I told Paul I really needed a car before month end but since he found exactly what I wanted, I'd be willing to wait until the 5th. I kept in touch with him throughout the two weeks and was told that the car would still arrive on time. Well, the 5th came and went, and then the story started to change - first it was coming from NJ, then they were waiting for it from the factory, then they were trading one of their vehicles with one of Jersey's. The last email I received it was being built. Really?? So that was the last straw, I said if they couldn't give me a definite date by the 12th, I was coming in to get my deposit back. They couldn't produce a date so I went back tonight for my deposit reimbursement. The kicker is that I have to wait 2-3 days for them to issue my credit. They had no issue charging my card on site, but crediting my card will take 2-3 days. I am so disheartened by the entire experience. Smithtown Ford is so wonderful but the Lincoln dealership was so unimpressive and disappointing. More
TERRIBLE dealership avoid like the plague Had my 2014 F 150 rear axle replaced by there service department on 10/17/2016, had to take it back to them on 12/1/2016 because all the dash board li Had my 2014 F 150 rear axle replaced by there service department on 10/17/2016, had to take it back to them on 12/1/2016 because all the dash board lights were lit up and the rear axle was making a really bad noise. I asked them to just look and see if it was safe to drive and they said they were to busy and i need to leave it. I didnt ask for a repair, I asked for them to look at it to see if it was safe to drive. I had to take it to Huntington Ford where they looked at it and said it was very dangerous to drive and Ford of smithtown may have installed the wrong axle! I had to rent a ford focus on my own credit card because all of there loner vehicles were out. Today is 12/13/2016 and Huntington Ford has informed me that the parts are on back order and they dont know when they can get the parts! So know I am stuck in a roller skate size car for god knows how long. I spoke to Anthony, 1 of the managers at Ford of Smihtown, I asked him to purchase my truck back due to the extensive damage caused by there repair shop, and he offered me a 2016 F 150 for $641.84 per month for 84 months! 84 months! yes, 84 months! He offered this to me while laughing and saying "we will never eat this" What a stellar human being this "manager" Anthony is! Great company rep. So here I am, in a roller skate of a rental car that had to be a ford product if I wanted to try to be reimbursed by Ford for god knows how long, with a truck that I have to keep paying for that may be fixed in a month or 2, and will probably never drive correct again due to there 'certified technician"! I bought 7 cars from them and my father bought 4 cars. 11 cars later and they dont care about me, my family safety or my problem that was caused by them. STAY away people. VERY bad people here. More
Retaliation for a honest survey Be very aware of this service center!!!! After servicing your vehicle they will tell you to expect a survey email. They will also ask you to rate them excellent on the survey. But what if the service wasn't excellent? My service experience was horrible. The facility was infested with flies, the service man forgot to provide me with all of the services I paid for, and I was over charged for labor time. Far from an excellent experience. Upon complaining, the service receptionist Chris gave me a complimentary service voucher. Because i didnt know that this service voucher was a bribe to get me to lie on my survey, i answered my survey honestly. Upon returning to the Smithtown service center to use my "voucher", i was first handled rudely, then given an appointment, then called 30 minutes later to be told by Chris "my manager told me to call you to tell you that because of your survey answers, we will not be servicing your car anymore" (retaliation). Luckily for me they didn't service my car and purposely damage it. So a word of advice, lie on your survey or else you too may face retaliation. Let's see how the corporate office handles this situation. More
