WARNING! MARK THESE WORDS: Unless you want to be defrauded, deceived, exploited, extorted, belittled and harassed, PLEASE DO NOT EVER BUY OR LEASE A CAR FROM MARK THESE WORDS: Unless you want to be defrauded, deceived, exploited, extorted, belittled and harassed, PLEASE DO NOT EVER BUY OR LEASE A CAR FROM “ford of smithtown” or “stevens112” (SAME OWNER: Steven S. Gomes Jr.). THE FISH STARTS STINKING FROM THE HEAD! Even if you order a car online and expect to pay MSRP upon delivery, they WILL NOT HONOR your signed Vehicle Cash Purchase Agreement, will PRICE GOUGE by coercing you to buy their warranty at MORE THAN TRIPLE the price of that they disclose to Ford Protect, will force you to finance w/ them at an outrageous non-negotiable rate (even if you have the best credit), and WILL NOT REFUND you the full warranty amount, even if you cancel it pursuant to the Terms & Conditions of the National Vehicle Service Contract (Section 12(A)(1)) w/in 30 days from date of purchase. THEY WILL: 1. Call you prior to your vehicle’s delivery to say that a different customer who had ordered a similar model online, “did not want” to proceed w/ their purchase and that they would like to sell you their car for $5K-$10K over MSRP. 2. Subsequently LIE to your face that you had told them during such previous conversation that you actually didn’t want to wait for your car to be manufactured, but rather wait for next year’s model, therefore they HAD ALREADY SOLD YOUR CAR to someone else for $5K-$10K over sticker WEEKS BEFORE the car was even delivered to the dealership. 3. INSINUATE that they “forgot” to refund you the $1K deposit (paid months ago) after you had “allegedly” told them that you didn’t want your car anymore (NOTE: per the Vehicle Cash Purchase Agreement, if you decide not to buy the car, they get to keep the $1K deposit). 4. Instead of asking you for $5K-$10K over MSRP like they did with the other “potential client” (I guess they realized that price gouging cannot be justified legally), they cut a new deal where they constrain you to buy their warranty and finance with them at the highest rate possible to capitalize on their outrageous markup. 5. Include an undisclosed Prep & Delivery Fee in the total price of the car on the Bill of Sale, list the “Ford Warranty” & “Window Protect Etch” w/out any price associated with them on that same Bill of Sale. 6. Charge you a $25 Gas Fee - make sure you don’t leave with an EMPTY GAS TANK! 7. Charge you a 3.25% non-refundable service charge on your credit card transaction and will not disclose it to you in advance. 8. Write “N/A” in the “Purchase Price”/“Sales Tax”/“Total Purchase Price with Sales Tax” fields on the National Vehicle Service Contract to DECEIVE you AND Ford Protect about the actual price that was paid for the warranty vs. the disclosed amount to Ford Warranty Dept. 9. WILL NOT SEND the warranty contract to Ford Protect until the eleventh hour to prevent you from canceling w/in the first 30 days, BUT REST ASSURED: if you still mail the cancellation letter to Ford Protect in due time, they WILL CANCEL retroactively since it’s not your fault that the dealer postponed sending them the paperwork. 10. FORGE the Bill of Sale by writing in AFTER YOU HAD SIGNED IT, that you cannot pay off the loan w/in 6 months from financing (DON’T WORRY, NO lender will stop you from refinancing or paying off the loan, regardless of the dealership’s swindling efforts). 11. IGNORE all your calls and voice messages when you try to get your warranty refund back. 12. (if you’re “lucky”) reimburse you only the warranty amount that was DISCLOSED to Ford Protect (not the one you had actually PAID) and LIE that they refunded you in full. Later, they “might” go back on their “word”, write you another check for a few more hundreds of dollars and imply that it represents the balance of the warranty refund. 13. HARASS you and try to INTIMIDATE you when you request your full refund in person, by sending their salesmen to follow you in their parking lot as you leave the premises, because you tell them that they are on a recorded line and you have proof for exposing their swindling practices and document falsification. The worst service experience. 12 days for what they say battery issue? Battery is one year old. 2 months of me calling to be told today no reimbursement for a 600 car rental fee. 12 days for what they say battery issue? Promised maintenance was not done prior to picking up the vehicle. The stuck oil dip stick was supposed to be repaired and was not, despite numerous reminders from me to do so. The rear brake pads were rep vehicle. The stuck oil dip stick was supposed to be repaired and was not, despite numerous reminders from me to do so. The rear brake pads were replaced to pass inspection by the dealership but the badly worn rotors were not replaced. They passed the vehicle for inspection with very worn front brake pads. Poor quality of service and very poor follow up prior to delivery. More
