My experience was wonderful. It was my first time purchasing a car and Sarah was extremely helpful. She explained everything me in a way I would understand and helped me find the best fit vehicle. I also really appreciated her honesty regarding cars that she had had personal experience with. Kevin was very helpful as well. He answered all of my questions with honesty and a great sense of humor and he made the boring paper-signing process very quick and painless. After having an absolutely mortifying experience at Van Horn I had to go back to the drawing board looking for a truck. I called Kunes because they had what I was looking for which was a used truck. Sarah Lawson took my call and was very helpful, she even went to physically check to make sure that the vehicle I was interested in was available. I drove out to Kunes to meet Sarah and check out the truck. The vehicle was exactly as she described and to my liking. As we got talking she informed me that I might want to consider going new as the new trucks have better capabilities than they once did. I ended up getting a 2013 F-150 which I paid under dealer pricing for. The financing was a tricky issue but Kevin and Stephany made sure it went great and found a lender to work with me with an acceptable payment, interest, etc. All in all I would have to say that buying my truck was the best experience that I have ever had with a car dealership. Everyone there is helpful and professional and a pleasure to work with. As an added note, I would never recommend anyone purchase from Van Horn as I had to deal with verbal abuse from an employee and when I called their corporate office they just acted like it was normal. When I arrived the car I wanted was at a different dealership-HOURS away. So they were trying to sell me different cars. 3. My original sales person was rude, arrogant and disrespectful. He didn't listen to what I was looking for. He brought me cars that were not a good fit for me and my family, and even after telling him that he INSISTED I test drive the vehicle. He told me that "because I am a special finance customer, my options for buying a car are limited, and that even though I don't like this car, its better than what I am currently driving and I will need to work up to the car I want" For those of you who aren't familiar with what special financing is it means, I have bad credit. He was rude, interrupted, and took his time making sure to interact and joke with the other salesmen-on my time. 3. After "settling"on a car, EIGHT HOURS LATER-we were told that it hasn't been inspected yet, as it had just come in, and I would have to come back tomorrow to get it. Yes folks, EIGHT hours at a dealership-and that is not including my one hour commute each way. Good thing I didn't bring my four year old. (At this point, I settled on the first thing that was decent, i was tired, and basically felt I had no other choice, He told me that this was the last car they had for me. I needed a car, and felt like I had no other option. 4. Return the next day to get my car-it took them FIVE Hours to get me in and out of there. 5. Three days later, I HATE HATE HATE the car. They agree to take it back and get me into something else. 6. Find a car I like. They sell it to me $2500 over what is advertised on the internet, because I was a "special finance" customer they couldn't honor that price. Whatever. Three months later, the snow melts, the rain comes....its spring time in Wisconsin, and my sunroof leaks. A LOT. There is water damage in the car. I take it back and they tell me that the sunroof needs to be replaced at the price tag of $600. It was apparently faulty when they sold it to me. I talked with a manager on the floor, and they agree to cover half of the $600 price tag. But also advises me to talk to my sales person who may be able to work something better out with the repair department and special finance. HA-my sales person no longer works there.. He was fired. Imagine that. So I get to work with Rick Mich, (who is the ONLY honest and respectful person I've worked with there so far) I worked with him for a couple weeks before he refereed me to someone else. 7. Rick refers me to Kristen in Special Finance. It takes me two weeks to get a call back from her. She left me a message referring me to her manager, Tony Wheatley. Finally today July 17th 2013 (82, yes folks EIGHTY TWO days after my initial complaint) I get a resolution...they will cover $150 of the cost. This is way less than the original half they agreed to cover, and honestly there are probably more damage costs associated with the repairs, because of how long they kicked their feet in the sand over this. So now not only do I need to come up with money to fix the sun roof, but the shocks and struts are also bad (another $600) all within 6 months of purchasing the vehicle-the same vehicle that had a flawless window tag, and inspection report. SHAME ON YOU KUNES!!! Anything to make a buck, even at the expense of your customer base. Your resolution in unacceptable, your customer service is unspeakable. Just another company that doesnt stand behind their products. More
Had previously purchased a New Fiesta with my Fiance, it was the most pleasant car buying experience we had ever had. So when it was time to purchase a different car for myself due to a new traveling job, I was the most pleasant car buying experience we had ever had. So when it was time to purchase a different car for myself due to a new traveling job, I called Evan and explained my needs as far as MPG and space. He took the time to show me at least 12 cars/vans that would fit my needs. After inspecting several we made a decision. Now it was on to trade value and partial financing. The process was painless, Very fair and easy going. No typical dealer pressure or insulting trade values. Have and will continue to hand out Evans business card to anyone I hear is looking for a car. More
I researched several Dealerships and Kunes Country Ford had the best selection of the vehicles we were interested in. Mike Gillingham & Kevin were both very nice and freindly. The work that was performed on the car was ok. They exceeded their time estimate by more than a week. We did have an issue with some items that were missing for the car when we received it back after c exceeded their time estimate by more than a week. My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Kunes. We were greeted with friendly smiles and hellos from the moment we opened the door. Because we were interested in a Ford Explorer that had arrived the night before on trade we had to wait a while for the inspection to be completed. During our wait Frank showed us other possible options and continue to ask if he could get us anything while we waited to test drive the vehicle. He was also patient with us as we made a decision and although he had other customers to help, he never forgot about us. Once we made our decision Stephany was awesome in finalizing the purchase and informing us of our warranty options. After looking at other dealerships and either never being acknowledge or being pestered, it was a relief to receive help and have our needs and wants listened to rather than ignored and shown high priced vehicles we could not afford. We were looking at the car when Dave asked us if we had any questions, He answered the ones we had and offered to let us take a test drive. As we were driving, he answered more questions and explained some of the features of the car. Never was he pushy or did he make us feel pressured. Both of us liked the car and we felt that the price they offered us was very reasonable. Dave programmed the blue tooth and set up all the features on the car for us. Everyone at Kunes was friendly and courteous. More
