We learned together (thanks Ed, we won't grind those gears in the 4Runner - who would have thought turning off your engine to get in L4 was the right move. Kyle, your recommendations were spot on - at least for right now - haha. All manageable. I had no intentions of getting a new car but I could never really like my Highlander - my friends laugh at me for that but it's true but Saturday was my day!! And last night if someone told me I should sleep in my new car - I would have. Grant it, I'm 70 years old but I'm in love with my new car. I took many friends for a ride last night, I checked it several times in the driveway to make sure it was still there. If it was a manual, that would be better but looks like automatics are the future - darn. Thanks to everyone - that was fun and I am certainly the lucky one! More

Quick and easy! We were 45 minutes early to our appointment but they got us right in and out. They even washed the car! Just moved from Denver, and the dealership where we purchased the vehicle never offered to wash it! Having purchased our new car in 2018 and getting the warranty, we need to go to the dealership to get work done... Now I actually feel glad to have to go to THIS dealership! More

departments don't seem to be connected to each other?! I talked to the service department when I made my appointment a week in advance and told them I was coming from San Juan and need: (1) oil change (2) I talked to the service department when I made my appointment a week in advance and told them I was coming from San Juan and need: (1) oil change (2) mileage check up associated with that, (3) wiper blades all the way around (4) light switch cover for driver's side interior light. I was told that was all doable... I came for my appointment, told the "check in guy" about all 4 items: oil was changed. However: he seemed concerned/confused about the wipers but said they "could do that" but that they didn't usually (?), he made NO comment about my light cover replacement... The service was expedient, (slightly less than an hour) but when the same guy came out to talk to me about his service , he said that he did not know about the light cover (he was the SAME guy I talked to in the beginning?), and that I would have to talk to the guys in the office, (indicating the guys that sit behind computers in those 2 little rooms facing the service bays). I asked why he hadn't looked at the appointment order which I have a copy of, and he said that the 2 departments have separate paperwork and don't "talk to each other"?! I suggested that I have a chat with the parts manager to see if they had one in stock for me since I made this request over a week ago (he DID NOT), but said that he could order me one. Meanwhile, the service guy tried to tell me even if they had one, his guys couldn't do that today, as they would likely have to take many things apart to replace it . I explained that it was a SNAP in light cover... I live in the San Juans so I asked the Parts guy to mail it to me so I could snap it in myself which he was happy to do but didn't want to charge me for it now as he didn't know the shipping cost yet (which I appreciated)! So then I want to pay for this "service" and the lady that collects the $$$ is MIA for over 15 minutes?....... I finally start saying "HELLO" and she rushes over from across the hall but assures me that she doesn't see my paperwork yet. I show her my paper work (which I have been staring at for quiet awhile) and then she says my keys aren't here yet - so I suggest she look again and "Oh my" they are there too WOW... Any way, on the road, and it starts raining; I discover that my NEW wiper blades aren't installed right and not only are they not clearing the rain off the windshield but that are scraping the glass and making a horrible noise. I had to drive back to the Ferry and islands with out my wipers on. I may have to take a day off work to get back over there which is NOT easy... I'm not even sure if these are the wipers for my model car as they don't seem to fit properly! Any how, I know everyone was doing "their best" but it seems to me that ALL the Departments (whatever that means) should have the same service docs and that these simple requests be handled as promised with out any issue. I'm just glad there wasn't anything wrong with my car as I wonder how that would have been handled?... Seems a bit dysfunctional?!.... More
