When we test drove this vehicle seemed to have a little bit of a rough idle when it was sitting at a light, but other than that it seemed to drive great. When we told the salesman that if they fixed that rough idle we would take it . They sent it over to their service department and then called us the next day and said the vehicle was fixed and we could pick it up. When I picked the vehicle the next day; I questioned the person in the Service Department what they had found. He told me there was a misfire in cylinder number 2 and that they had cleaned all the carbon build up in it, reset the codes on the computer, and that it was running fine now. Not being a mechanic myself I took his word that the problem was solved. At first that seemed to be the case, but after only 600 miles the rough idle problem returned this time with a check engine light as well. So this time I took it to a independent mechanic and had him check it out. He found that again cylinder number 2 was misfiring. They determined that carbon was built up in the engine. It has been determined that air was leaking and that the whole top of the motor needs to be rebuilt. He also informed me that there was something called a TSB sheet put out by the manufacturer that warns of this problem with those models of Jeep Liberty's. So I took the Liberty back to Foothills to see what they had to say about it. They basically told me to drop dead. They said the only thing they would do is take it back in trade for practically nothing because it has a blown motor, (How ironic, LOL) or they would sell me a used motor with 93,000 miles on it for $2500, which was also a joke. So in summary; stay away from this dealership and their service department. In my opinion they are dishonest and will tell you anything to make the sale. I have bought many different vehicles from other dealerships around Spokane and Foothill's was the worst one I have ever dealt with. Scott Hall. More

I absolutely dreaded the experience, but it was time. 15 years since buying my last vehicle (also from Foothills) and while I had an idea of what I wanted, I still dreaded the experience being a single woman, etc. etc.. I was met by Phil Agnew at around 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon, and he spent a good half hour just asking questions, getting to know me and what my car needs were, price range, payment options, etc. I even told him how much I disliked the process and that needed to know (somehow?) that I was not being taken advantage of, being oversold, or pushed into something more than I needed just because I could probably afford it. He assured me (somehow!) the entire Foothills Group would not let me down. And they didn't! He sent me out on a test drive with Russ Blough in a car he personally selected that he felt fit my needs. I had picked a couple others out thru website, but after driving this ONE car Phil selected for me, there was no need to even drive another. How did he DO that?! Fast forward to Chad Anderson (another great conversation and connection!) and I drove out of that lot in the most beautiful, shiny white spaceship at 4:00 that afternoon. How did they DO that?! This is not what I remember car buying to be like! I will send ALL of my friends and family to Foothills, and I will recommend Mazda cars from this day forward. Phil, you read minds. Chad, you work miracles. Russ, you can teach someone to drive a spaceship in short order. Kevin (service), you deliver what you promise. Rick Reilly, you have a talented bunch of peeps there! Thank you all for a great experience! More

Russ was the dealer guide and Seemed like a very nice man. During the drive of the vehicle, he had to take two phone calls non work related. We get back to the dealership and he asks me if i like it and want to sign and get it going? I told him that there were a few pros & cons. One was the steering wheel and then he interrupts me and says well thats something you can take care of yourself and get a wheel cover for it. The wheel material was coming apart as well as the inside driver door handle follow by a dent on the driver front side wheel. Then he gives me a price and asks if i will do that price? It was the make and model i was looking for but I wasnt crazy about the car and didnt think it was even worth it as the car had things falling apart as well as dings and dents on it. I told him that there was another one I had seen today with a slight better history and no dings or dents near the sane price (but i didnt like the color) of it and I was going to ask him to work with me and then he says well you should go buy it...and then walks away from me and answers his phone call again not work related. I had been to 2 other dealerships before walking onto foothills lot, as i am trying to find that car that is right for me, and go through all the deals and decide which place I felt more comfortable working with to get my car as well as finding the best car i want to make monthly payments to for the next 4 years. I just couldnt believe that he did that and no one at the other dealerships got on their phone while with a serious customer nor tell me to go with another dealership. Then he comes back right away after his phone call and asks if I want his card? I told him no thanks. First and last time I go there as the experience put a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps Russ was done with the day and we werent what he wanted to deal with? I hope he can learn from what happened today and be better tomorrow for another mom or dad looking for a safe car that would help meet their budget as well and be a little more professional. More

We let him know the check engine light came on when we went for the test drive like we had told Blake and Blake said it would be figured out If we wanted to buy the vehicle which was fine. But when we told Russ he proceeded to say it was?? But It turned off in a few minutes right? We responded with saying no it was still on our whole test drive and even when we got back to the lot. Overall we just felt like Russ was being rude, pushy, and disrespectful. If we were able to continue working with Blake the deal could of possibly been made but no after how we were treated from Russ. We were told we were young and it kinda was made out to make us feel like we didn't know anything and to us that's not how you act if you want to sell a car. And from the standpoint of Russ saying he's looked the car over but he didn't Even know of the issues we told him about. We felt he also was throwing Blake under the buss. Overall we probably won't be going back there, and that's unfortunate. There's more to this story but I'll leave it as it is. Just wanted to express how I felt in the situation. Blake's customer service was amazing, Russ's customer service pushes customers away.. More
Great Customer Service We bought a used vehicle and an extended warranty from Foothills. We brought it into the Service Department nearly a year later for Warranty work. T We bought a used vehicle and an extended warranty from Foothills. We brought it into the Service Department nearly a year later for Warranty work. The Warranty Company didn't want to cover the repairs in their misleading coverage brochure. The Service Department appealed to the Warranty Company on our behalf and then presented us with a solution that treated us fairly. They could have told us to pound sand, but instead they went above and beyond to help us, a rarity in this day and age! More

I'll start off with saying the service department at this dealership is excellent!! I have never dealt with a service department that was so great! I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in 2005. It dealership is excellent!! I have never dealt with a service department that was so great! I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in 2005. It was the worse sales experience I have ever had. The British finance manager was pushy and arrogant. I heard an advertisement on the radio for 6 months of free gas with the purchase of a vehicle. I decided to stop in and look at some cars. I test drove a couple cars and decided on a 2003 Mazda Protege. The sales person told me the vehicle had anti-lock brakes, a 6 disc CD changer and other features. After I purchased the car, I was told the down payment I made was not enough to qualify for the free gas offer. Then I discovered no CD changer. This really was not that big of a deal to me, I just figured this was how it is when you buy a car. The first winter I slid on ice and found the car did not have anti-lock brakes. I returned to the dealer and asked about this. The lady I spoke to said the sales person indicated the car did have these features. I asked her what could be done and she said 'well it's just too expensive for us to honor this'. So I have been stuck paying for this car I wouldn't have agreed to buying and I really don't know what to do. I'll never buy another car from this dealer or recommend anyone I know to do business with this dealership. More
We were visiting Spokane from the Seattle area and stopped in to do some window shopping. Although not really in the market for a new car we were impressed with the auto sales going on. Scott showed stopped in to do some window shopping. Although not really in the market for a new car we were impressed with the auto sales going on. Scott showed us around as well as took us out to test drive two cars. We decided on the spot to purchase but due to the fact that we did not have our trade with us, the logistics just were not there to complete the deal. I feel somwhat guilty of not at least offering Foothills one last chance to match the trade-in but hard to do for a car they had never seen. I would have driven the 270 plus miles to make the purchase with this dealership and Scott due to how impressed my wife and I were with them. If you are in the market for a Mazda product, please go to Foothills and if possible ask for Scott. More
Everything was fine, the sales man was very helpful, nice and friendly. THEN we were brought inside to talk numbers. I was adamant about using our own bank and financing ourselves. We were passed over to wha and friendly. THEN we were brought inside to talk numbers. I was adamant about using our own bank and financing ourselves. We were passed over to what I believe was a "closer" who was VERY pushy with the in house financing. I think I must have told him at least 4 times that we were going to go through our own bank ourselves. He was really, really pushy and skeezy (he kept calling me darlin' and hon', unprofessional in my book). And this is where it gets good... "I say what are you going to give me for my trade-in" ('89 vw vanagon) he says, and I swear it on my grandmother's grave, my ears DID NOT decieve me, he says "$2,500." I say "$2,500?" He laughs and says "No, no I said $500, is $2,500 what you wanted me to say dear?" I say "Do I need to clean my ears out?" and I look at my husband who also distinctly heard the $2,500. At this point we are all laughing, because it's so unbelievably appalling, and I can't seem to wrap my mind around what exactly he is playing at. So that's it I'm done with the game (I didn't have much paitience for it to begin with:P) I name my price which is low and he comes back and says sorry we can't do that, we leave. Oh and I forgot to mention he bad mouthed his salesman and as we were leaving was having a laugh with his co-worker at my expense! Unfortunately, I can't remember the "closers" name and probably for obvious reasons they list none of their employees on the website. But that aside, I can't begin to express how dissatified I am at the level of customer service I recieved. Unprofessional and pushy and the obvious lie?? More
