I brought my car in to Fontana Nissan because the fan belt was loose. They told me they would inspect it. They drove me home and when my car was ready they picked me up. They told me the idle pulley ne belt was loose. They told me they would inspect it. They drove me home and when my car was ready they picked me up. They told me the idle pulley needed replacing and they couldn't find online if the part was covered by my warranty. They didnt find out for sure but they said Nissan would go ahead and cover it because i bought the car there 2 years ago and they wanted me to be happy. They replaced the idle pulley and put on a new fan belt at no charge.They washed my car and picked me up when it was ready. The service was great all around and Jerome Porter the service advisor was very polite and helpful making sure i had a ride to and from the dealership. Excellent service and a pleasant experience. My first experience with Fontana Nissan was unexpected. Valley Hi Nissan in Victorville had just replaced the motor in my '06 Altima. BUT they left off a few clamps that made terrible noise AND had broken the motor mount while installing the new one. I was aware of a noise & shimmy, and was planning to get the car to Victorville after an appointment in Fontana. But I was becoming more afraid to make the trip up the Cajon Pass alone & looked up Nissan dealerships in Fontana.Fontana Nissan was not too far up the road off Sierra, on my way home to Victorville. I called & spoke with Dominic. He wasn't sure how long I'd have to wait, but to bring it over asap. I arrived, greeted by Dominic with a smile and when he heard my story I waited no longer than 10 minutes before my car was up on the rack. That was when we all learned exactly how bad the job at Victorville had gone. Dominic asked me if I wanted to take it up to VV to have them fix the problem. HA!!! He said I'd have to wait while the work was done. NO PROBLEM! Maybe 2 hours, it didn't matter Altima was done. I've been into Fontana Nissan for different reasons...and I just have to call Dominic and its my decision as to what day & time I come in. ALWAYS a smile, always listens to what I have to say. A very knowledgeable, kind & genuine person!! I've been to Valley Hi Nissan in Victorville only once since that blown job... I took the papers from Fontana (receipt) & showed the service person (Sandy) and the service manager. I told them I'd never come back for even a car wash, which they don't give any longer.Saving water, I think, was the reason. They had my car for more than 2 weeks and still can't get it right!! Customer friendly. Prompt, great service. I drive a GTR which is a challenging car to service, but Fontana knows all the car's idiosyncracies. And they are not adverse to working on modified cars. The reason why i giving Jerome Porter at Fontana Nissan a great review is because he showed interest in my problem. Also i wasnt treated as a customer ,but more appart of the nissan family. I bought an Altima last week and was so impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff, that I brought my pathfinder in today for an oil change.
