overall my experience was excellent, I had a hard time parting with my old car as a trade in as it had a sentimental attachement for me. I went to a couple other dealerships in sacramento...including Paul Blanco dealership (which is supposedly supposed to be good for people who are really upside down in their current payment sacramento...including Paul Blanco dealership (which is supposedly supposed to be good for people who are really upside down in their current payment...or at least thats what they advertise), and i also went to carmax (i was making payments to them for the car i was driving and trying to trade in). You would think being a current customer of carmax at the time that they would go the extra mile to try and help me in any way possible to get into a truck, NOPE....WROOOONG!. It was almost an immediate shutdown at carmax, and the guy i talked to at Paul Blanco said that if i did a VOLUNTARY REPO and did their CREDIT TECH crap!!! that i would be able to get in a new car...but then again my credit would be ruined for 7 years as well as my wifes credit (she was my cosigner for the car). When i was turned down at Paul Blanco the guy said and i quote very specifically "anybody who said they are going to finance you is full of crap". Well Folsom Lake Chevy stepped up to the plate and hit a freakin home freakin run! Im so glad i got to go here and experience what a REAL REAL REAL REAL dealership is supposed to be all about. They were willing to work with me no matter what. Like it was their job to get me in a truck and not my job to try and convince them to let me get in a truck, and thats the key difference right there. I wish everybody would go to all these other crappy places first then goto Folsom Lake Chevy and you will IMMEDIATELY notice the difference. 2007 Impala with 98,000 miles. Transmission was slipping intermittently when starting out from dead stop. Chad and Leon did a great job troubleshooting and finding the problem. They had the parts in stock and were able to fix my car the same day. They replaced the Valve package under warranty at no cost to me. In addition I was impressed with the Dealer's waiting area. They had a laptop station which made it possible for me to work while waiting for my car to be repaired. More
We enjoyed buying our new Chevy pickup from everyone involved there at Folsom Chevy. Jake Holmquist was very friendly and kept us entertained while we were waiting to be approved for our truck. This was probably the best experience in my 55 years of experience in purchasing a new vehicle! Everyone that I had contact were courteous, helpful and very enthusiastic about their product. I purchased a used Mini Cooper. It was evident Folsom Cheverolet was not familiar with the particulars with this vehicle. They did follow through, but a few too many steps to make this happen. I rated this lower due to the number of visits that had to be made and when I purchased an extended contract I agreed to a term of 18 months for a monthly amount of $132.22. I then received a copy of my signed contract with the monthly term highlighted, crossed out and a new amount of 15 months added in. Also, the amount was highlighted and changed from the agreed upon amount of $132.22 crossed out and changed to $158.66. I question the legality of this action; no input was made other than the change via mail. when I called Folsom Cheverolet to question it, my only option was to cancel the extended contract. This was not an option in my opinion since we were in the process of using the extended warranty. I also question having to use the extended warranty when I was within the 30 day original purchase date. By using this contract, Folsom Cheverolet was paying for my $200.00 deductable; which was mostl likely less than what the service that was being covered would have most likely cost them; Neillo Mini Cooper was doing the work, not Folsom Cheverolet. Again, I question the ethics and legality of how this contract was changed without any prior approval from me. More
By far the best car buying experience ever! No pressure to buy and salesman took all the time necessary to show us every vehicle we were even remotely interested in. After the purchase, we were given a complete orientation of all the new vehicles's features and a tour of the service department. Keith and Brian were very friendly and easy to work with. I went in to purchase my daughter a car for college. Marty was very friendly and new that I came in for a very specific car I seen on Craig's list. There was only one person in the finance office and Marty kept us company while we were waiting for our turn. I was so impressed to give a Video message from Marty today. My experience was professional but fun and very easy going. I would definately come back to Folsom Chevrolet for my next vehicle purchase. More
Yes! I feel comfortable with them, and they are always very thorough. Dave Somberg is the best salesman I have ever dealt with.
