This is a follow-up to my original review, which I made soon after purchasing my new car from Foley. When I bought the car, I told Zee we would be moving to Florida and would need to ship the car to our n soon after purchasing my new car from Foley. When I bought the car, I told Zee we would be moving to Florida and would need to ship the car to our new home. Zee assured me that Foley would work with me to arrange the car shipment when I was ready. I dropped the car off at Foley the day before we flew to Florida. When I arrived in Florida, I contacted Zee. He told me the final cost of the shipment (which was on the low side of his original estimate), and the date the car would arrive at my new home. The car carrier driver called on the day of delivery and we set up a time and place to get the car. Painless, efficient, professional, and exactly as promised by Zee and the folks at Foley! More

Recently bought a 2007 Range Rover Supercharged here. JD was a good salesman, perhaps a little pushy, but that is part of the job so I get it. There were a few cosmetic issues with the vehicle when I test was a good salesman, perhaps a little pushy, but that is part of the job so I get it. There were a few cosmetic issues with the vehicle when I test drove/inspected it, most noticeable being that one of the power folding mirrors did not work, and the front heated seats didn't work, and the rest were just interior trim issues. That being the case I decided I'd either have to get a little extra value on my trade or get them to come down in price. JD was accommodating after a bit of prying and although the price seemed non-negotiable we agreed on an acceptable trade value which is essentially the same thing anyway. The price ended up being thousands less than comparable vehicles I looked at in the area, some of which were not even in such good shape. After I purchased and drove home I noticed one of the rear brake calipers was sticking (test drive probably was not long enough to notice the wheel getting hot). I called them right away and they immediately took it in the next day to have a look. They claimed the caliper was moving freely and just the slides were sticking claimed they fixed it by lubricating the slides. I knew this was unlikely but whatever, I drove it home again and sure enough, still sticking! Called them up again and the service manager sounded skeptical and tried to say it is a big truck, brakes get hot, etc... I know it was not normal. Took it back again and had them shoot it with the IR thermometer as soon as I got there and sure enough that wheel was way too hot compared to the others... after some more work they determined that the caliper was in fact sticking after all and they kept the car over the weekend to order the part. When the part came in it was the wrong part, so they had to keep it longer, but eventually they replaced the caliper and the brakes have been fine since that time. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly however, and they were pretty much falling all over themselves to get everything right, so that is why I still give them an OK rating for quality of work. My previous vehicle was also a Range Rover so I'm very familiar with all the problems they can have. I have since been able to repair the folding mirror and the heated seats. I also found that the battery was inadequate for the power needs of this vehicle with so many computer systems (probably not dealership's fault, interstate battery website does list it as compatible and it was likely installed by the previous owner anyway). I was getting random transmission/suspension faults and other quirks but could not find any actual mechanical problems... since these vehicles are very sensitive to voltage/current I measured with a multimeter at various connections there were times when there was not enough which was leading to ECU malfunctions. I installed a new much more powerful battery with 1150 CCA instead of the 730 CCA unit which it came with and have had no issues since. Range Rovers are very complicated vehicles not like other vehicles, so I definitely give them the benefit of the doubt on all this stuff. I would not have bought it if I did not have so much experience maintaining my old one for the past five years. The power and the ride quality on road combined with the awesome capabilities off road are also unmatched, so I deal with the headaches since I need a vehicle that can do both (I do a lot of off-roading). I know this might sound a bit like a cautionary tale, but really the vehicle is very good, I think it is more a matter of knowing what you are getting into when you buy a used Range Rover, I am pleased with it, and I like all the new features than my old one did not have, and it is hard to beat the value you get with a used rover when you think about how much they cost new (almost 100k for the supercharged). The service department went above and beyond to make everything right, and even delivered the car to me on a Friday afternoon so I could have it for the weekend. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely go back the next time I'm in the market for a used vehicle. More
