Volkswagen flow of Durham neglected to complete a repair as instructed by the Volkswagen of America Techline. They indicated to the customer that the repair was done and the car was fixed, under warranty. M as instructed by the Volkswagen of America Techline. They indicated to the customer that the repair was done and the car was fixed, under warranty. Month later, the car went into limp mode while accelerating on the highway, resulting in a near accident. When the car was actually fixed months later, the tech at a different Volkswagen dealership indicated where he could see that the work had never actually been done by Volkswagen flow of Durham. They closed out the work order without completing the job as instructed by the Volkswagen of America tech line. I do not recommend taking your vehicle here, as their refusal to comply with warranty repair instructions resulted in a near death experience for myself, and my two kids on 15 501. Their utter disregard for the safety of Volkswagen customers, negligence and d laziness should be considered as you are seeking repair options. More
I've bought two cars from this dealership, but as soon as one of them had an issue (the frame for the overhead console is defective), it seems like no one knows what they're doing. They kept me hanging for 6 one of them had an issue (the frame for the overhead console is defective), it seems like no one knows what they're doing. They kept me hanging for 6 months and when I finally went in person, they told me they'd had the pay for 3 months and sent it back. No one called me! Now I'm waiting again and when I call, it's like I'm starting all over again. I'm really tired of the shoddy service and being ignored. Not to mention the faulty part... but that's another story. If I were to sum up my 1 year of experiences with the VW Flow of Durham, it would be “the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.” Be warned, doesn’t matter you make your service appointment Flow of Durham, it would be “the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.” Be warned, doesn’t matter you make your service appointment online or called the dealership number and get transferred, they go to a call center that will book you the appointment and promise the moon. But when you bring the car in, the actually physical service dept service advisor will tell you they either don’t have your appointment or the parts you indicated you need for the service requested. Tires or batteries just to name a few. Nice people and good 5-star attitudes, but the logistics of booking and fulfilling the appointment is zero star. Not sure who can fix it but almost every time there’s some new excuses that someone in the call center screwed up. Basically, until their Parts Dept, Service Dept, and Call Center Staff actually use the same system, this type of chaos will continue indefinitely. My most recent experience in December 2022 was nothing too unfamiliar; I got in at 8:40am promptly for my appointment to get 3 services taken care of (per my appointment), I was told they don’t have the battery and cannot do 2 of 3 services. I still needed to drop off the car for the day without a loaner offered. Same problem persists when I picked up my vehicle at the end of the day. More
I am very disappointed in this dealership. I have been dealing with the SAME issue for over a year now. The EPC light and the ACC lights continue to come on. When these two lights come on even I have been dealing with the SAME issue for over a year now. The EPC light and the ACC lights continue to come on. When these two lights come on eventually the check oil level light comes on. I have spent $4057 dollars trying to get this issue resolved. Most recently I sent almost $1300 in April of 2022. Five days later the warning lights came on again. July 8, 2022 I paid $976 to replace crankcase breather and spark plugs. I also had an oil change. Sticker in car says I should not need an oil change until July 2023. Nine days later the two warning lights came on. I called to complain but David said he had never seen those two warning light come on together. I went to the service department Friday so they could gauge the oil consumption as they asked me to. Told me I didn’t need an appointment. Everyone was too busy and told me to return Monday even though I live 80 miles from the dealership. Guess what happened last night. Yep, the check oil level light came on AGAIN just three weeks after a complete oil change. I continue to have the SAME issues. All they do is experiment then charge these ridiculous prices knowing the problem(s) still exist. Seriously considering calling WRAL and the BBB. Sad thing is that it is documented in their system that I continue to have these recurring issues. Past time for me to leave VW alone. Time to mo e on to another brand D. Hunter More
I had the car in for them to diagnose the faulty hatch latch on my 2015 Tiguan. The appointment was for Wednesday and I dropped the car off the evening before so they would have it first thing the next m latch on my 2015 Tiguan. The appointment was for Wednesday and I dropped the car off the evening before so they would have it first thing the next morning. By 10am on Wed. they said they knew what the problem was and it would be $800 plus tax and shop fee to fix it AND they had the part already there. I agreed to have them move forward with the repair. They indicated it would probably be ready same day but there was a chance it would spill over into Thursday. I never heard anything from them the rest of the day on Wednesday and I didn't follow up b/c I figured they didn't get it finished. Thursday morning I called ~10am to inquire on the status of the car. They said it was ready. I asked why no one had called to let me know this and their response was they texted me YESTERDAY to let me know it was ready. I never received a text from them. I said someone should have at least followed up with a phone call and they said their phones and computers had been "up and down" the last few days----probably why the text never came through. When I picked up the car, the attendant never apologized for not calling to let me know the car was ready and said it was only him and one other person working the desk. He had an attitude as if he really didn't care and gave off a "it sucks to be you" sort of vibe. On top of this the bill actually came to just under $1,000. The people there don't care. They all give attitude, even whey you call to just make an appointment or call to check on your car. I've had problems with this place in the past but this most recent visit was the last straw and I will not be going back to this location. It was a decent dealership when it was Durham VW but when Flow took over, it's gone down hill. Not worth my time or money and I would not recommend anyone else going there either. More
"Free delivery" was putting 250 miles on your brand new vehicle without seat covers or plastic on the floor mat. My brand new car was delivered with leaves and dirt and gravel on the floor. Even my $22/d vehicle without seat covers or plastic on the floor mat. My brand new car was delivered with leaves and dirt and gravel on the floor. Even my $22/day rental car came with more care and consideration. This is not the fault of the delivery guy but the dealership and their cheap practices. It is a yucky experience and maybe I should have refused delivery because they put so many miles on my car. Really gross. I feel robbed and violated. More
My recent attempt to have my car serviced by Flow Volkswagen was a complete disappointment - and I will never return to this company. I was greeted at 8:45 am for a simple oil change and basic ser Volkswagen was a complete disappointment - and I will never return to this company. I was greeted at 8:45 am for a simple oil change and basic service check, and I was told that this should only take 1.5 hours ... "absolutely 2 hours tops". I decided to wait for my car in the waiting area. At 10:30 am I enquired about progress with the car - and was advised that it was "in progress". I was also told that there were actually very few technicians working today so the car may be a "little longer". Upon walking outside the service center, I could see my car parked in the rear carpark area - which is where it had been (untouched) for the past 2 hours. I asked for my keys back and my car was returned to me - and I drove off without a service technician getting anywhere near my car. Throughout the 2 hours that I was in the Service center waiting area, I believe that only a few cars were actually returned to their owners after having had work done to them. By this time, the Service center waiting area was completely full (over 25 people) all of which were completely unaware that they were never going to get their car serviced before the end of day. Extremely disappointing. More
I submitted a flow offer to purchase. The offer came back at 42,325. Now the Land Rover dealership in Greensboro agreed and then I took it in to the Durham location. The guy at Durham look at the car on a Mo at 42,325. Now the Land Rover dealership in Greensboro agreed and then I took it in to the Durham location. The guy at Durham look at the car on a Monday and agreed to the same offer… maybe a difference of 200 miles. I agree and come back the next day and the price change. They offered my $1083 less in a matter of 24 hours. He said one price was in the system and the guy told me something different. Some little guy comes out and with an attitude made it seem like take it or leave it…. It was a shady practice but oh well. I ended up paying the difference… however that is shady! What if I want financial savvy or strap with cash! That was misleading… I’m considering getting a small crossover VW… I’m debating should I even entertain them…. What happens when I agree to buy the car and then change the price because of their so call system! More
