Purchased a car at Florida Fine Cars West Palm Beach and had it break down a few days later requiring it to be towed to Land Rover Ft Pierce. It turned out that there was fresh coffee spilled into the gear had it break down a few days later requiring it to be towed to Land Rover Ft Pierce. It turned out that there was fresh coffee spilled into the gear shift (Range Rover has many computer parts) and the repair needed was $3800. Land Rover advised us that the dealership most likely knew of this problem due to the fact that the car malfunctioned almost at once after driving it off the lot. The dealership was terrible in communication and after several calls to the GM they ended up agreeing to pay $1500 towards the repair, having us pay the balance, and having to rent a car for 38 days while the repair was done, dealer refused to pay for the rental. Further, the salesman (who quit 1 day after we bought the car from him) told us the hood would be corrected of the few spots of paint chips. Due to the car having to be kept for 1 week for the hood paint, I had to wait until there was a convenient time to be without the car for 1 week. I didn't expect that I would be without the car I just purchased for a total of 42 days in total - gear repair and paint. Left the car there and found out that they took the car to Miami to repaint the hood and used the wrong paint which bubbled on the way back to the dealership. They claimed they had to replace the hood which ended up with a computer error in the car showing the hood was not engaged. We in fact took the car back 2X and spoke to Alex, a manager, about the hood sensor light, and each time he kept slamming the hood, as his version of the repair needed. Due to the concern that the hood would open during driving which could cause a fatal accident, we finally took it to Land Rover and was advised the hood latch was damaged and had to be replaced, the dealer would not pay for it, we paid out of pocket $325.15. We have verification from a top-rated auto body shop that in fact the hood was not replaced and the condition of the paint on the hood is very bad and needs to be repainted, at a cost of $525. Further, the TPMS light which was mentioned to Alex along with messages left for the GM started the day I drove the car off the lot but never received a callback, nor a repair. This issue still exists! I scheduled a meeting with their "Loyalty Mgr." to discuss all these issues with her and the GM and when driving 40 miles to the dealership the I was told they had to reschedule. At this point, both my husband and I were fed up with the devious and fraudulent practices of Florida Fine Cars and decided to file a formal complaint The GM of this dealership was terrible in handling this matter, as he rarely called back and tried to skirt the issues. Even the "Loyalty Manager" failed to follow-up on an attempt to resolve the issues with a lot of talk and no action. We strongly recommend that future car buyers stay clear of this dealership. They do not stand behind the sales and it appears their motto is "once off the lot, not our problem". More
