Unexceptable service My husband and I both bought vehicles from Flood. The buying part was fine...the service center is a whole other story. Last time we brought my vehi My husband and I both bought vehicles from Flood. The buying part was fine...the service center is a whole other story. Last time we brought my vehicle in for an oil change, I think it took them about 8 hrs before they even took the car in. Mind you we dropped it off the night before so they could do it first thing in the morning. We made an appointment last week to have someone take the car for a ride because we are experiencing a strange humming sound in the front end. AGAIN we drop the car off the night before and at 1:45 call and was told they haven't looked at it yet.....OK.......5 pm again call and was told it would be definitely ready tonight because they are opened late on Thursday.......7:30pm......call and was told the technician needed to take it for a ride. Needless to say I was livid. 12 hrs later and they STILL NEEDED TO TAKE IT FOR A RIDE. Totally unexceptable. We picked the car up at 7:45 and can promise you that we will NEVER return. Sadly even though they are local to us I would never purchase a future vehicle from this dealership. Lost us as customers. More
Good at first and went sour quickly Waited 5.15 hours for an oil change, brake pads replaced and rotors cleaned. When I received my vehicle back I checked the engine the next morning to Waited 5.15 hours for an oil change, brake pads replaced and rotors cleaned. When I received my vehicle back I checked the engine the next morning to see that the cover to the engine was not connected and off to the side, my oil dipstick was 3 inches out of oil tube and my cover for the battery was dangling to the side. 0 star customer satisfaction. I feel that the dealership really let me down. Therefore, I will not recommend nor advise anyone to visit or shop at any of Flood Ford Dealerships. Although I will say I still like John Derobbio, it was not his fault that the dealership treated me poorly. More

Purchasing Great, Service Mediocre I purchased my new Ford from Flood in E.G. and had an excellent experience with Jim Smashee. There was no pressure and we agreed on a fair price. I I purchased my new Ford from Flood in E.G. and had an excellent experience with Jim Smashee. There was no pressure and we agreed on a fair price. I left extremely satisfied. The service department on the other hand is a different story. After you purchase a Ford from Flood you are entitled to a free oil change. I called the service department to schedule my appointment. I was told I didn't need an appointment (before the Quick Lane opened). I returned for my oil change and was told they were too busy and I should have made an appointment. I ended up going to Tasca in Cranston instead, and paid for an oil change that was done in 20 minutes. (strike one for Flood) Recently, I decided to give Flood another chance. I just needed and oil change and a state inspection. I made an appointment for 8:00 am, two weeks in advance. I also told them I would wait for the car. I arrived at the dealer at 7:50 am and was told it would be a couple of hours for a state inspection. I was also told I should have the tires rotated. I declined the tire rotation and took my seat. It wasn't until 9:30 am when I was told they were running behind and my car hadn't been taken in yet. Around 9:40 am I was informed that they were taking my car. Then somewhere around 9:50 am I was asked again about rotating my tires because they wearing unevenly. Now this is a 2 year old car with 18,500 miles. I have the oil changed every six months and the tires rotated once a year. I explained that the tires had been rotated in September and there was no uneven wear on them. The subject was quickly dropped. I'm sure charging me for a tire rotation had nothing to do with the tires being off the car for the inspection. Anyway, my car was done at 10:20 am. So, about 40 minutes for an inspection and oil change which is what I expected, not 2 hours and 20 minutes. What's the point of having an appointment? (strike two) More
If you want an attitude this is the place to go! I am a small business owner who recently relocated from Cranston to Exeter. I always had done my service on my trucks at Tasca. When I called them I I am a small business owner who recently relocated from Cranston to Exeter. I always had done my service on my trucks at Tasca. When I called them I was told it would be 2 weeks before I could get my F350 in for service. On my way home one Saturday I decided to stop by Flood to see if I could get it in there sooner. It made sense after all, it was closer to my home and it was a Ford dealer. I walked in at approx. 4pm. The sales department was busy but one gentleman took the time to walk me over to service and introduce me to Wendy. I thanked him and he walked away. This is where my opinion of your dealership changed. Before I could speak she informed me that they were about to close. I told her that I just wanted to see if I could get an appointment. She then rolled her eyes and sighed. I asked her if it was too much trouble to tell me when the next availble appointment was. She then told me to hold on and proceeded to check and respond to a text! I then said to her, nevermind, and walked away. Not an "I'm sorry" or "hold on sir" but as I walked back towards sales I heard "what an a##hole". Well, if thats what you think of your consumers then I understand why Tasca has a 2 week wait. With pathetic customer service like that there is no doubt I will never return nor reccomend Flood Ford for any servicing of vehicles. I gave a 3 star on friendliness because of your sales department and their willingness to help guide me in the right direction. More
Thanks for the service-mail reminder BUT..... After my Thanks for the service-mail reminder BUT..... After my last visit for which I had an appointment made in advance 8:30 am... Lou check me in @8:30 a Thanks for the service-mail reminder BUT..... After my last visit for which I had an appointment made in advance 8:30 am... Lou check me in @8:30 and I told him I'd wait... I waited 1 hour and 40 min for my car's oil change. While sitting outside I had notice my car pull out of garage & parked by tech. It was ready after 1 hour. It was parked right in front... It took 40 mins for Lou to do my paper work. Only after I had to ask him to get my paperwork done and get me to the cashier. If I never said anything who knows how much longer I would have been delayed. Check your records for check in & checkout times I felt comfortable going there because me and my family had always purchase our Fords from Dick Cranston Ford. The last dealer to occupy that location Big Mistake! I was late for work also!! I don't appreciate being treated like that. Would you? ~Dave More
My Mazda CX-7 was making noise from the A/C unit. My wife works in the East Greenwich area and I was concerned about driving the car to The Flood Mazda Dealership in Wakefield, RI. Dave Mooney of Flood wife works in the East Greenwich area and I was concerned about driving the car to The Flood Mazda Dealership in Wakefield, RI. Dave Mooney of Flood Ford, EG was confident that he could resolve the problem and analyzed the problem. It turns out that the Mazda CX-7 has a history of A/C compressor issues. I called Mazda Customer Service and spoke with a representative that informed me that the car had to be diagnosed by a Mazda Dealer and they would review any adjustment in the price to fix the compressor. I informed Dave Mooney of the condition of inspection by a Mazda Dealer. I asked if I could pick up the car and drive it to Flood Mazda in Wakefield. He said he would get the car ready for pick up. I informed him that I would reimburse Flood Ford for the work they performed. To my surprise, Dave Mooney realized that the problem may be a manufacturer problem and released the car to me without charges for his diagnosis of the problem. It is that kind of treatment that speaks volumnes for the Flood Dealerships. I have been a customer of Flood Mazda and Flood Ford in Narragansett for purchasing vehicles and service. I will continue to be a customer at Flood Dealerships for their customer service and new car sales. Thanks to Dave Mooney and the Service area for the help in this matter. I own many super duty fords some of which were purchased from flood ford. I always have one which needs service. A fews years ago I began taken them to flood ford and the service was not that good. You wo from flood ford. I always have one which needs service. A fews years ago I began taken them to flood ford and the service was not that good. You would make a appointment and they would never work on them. Some times they would sit for a additional day or two before they worked on them. If you called you would get every excuse under the sun, and maybe even and attitude to go with it. These trucks are service trucks that operate seven days a week and are needed. Sometimes I don't believe they understand that these trucks are only making money when they are working. I ended up leaving flood ford and went to another dealership. Beginning January 1, 2013 I began going back to flood. I can't believe how much the service has changed. When you arrive there is a person to greet you and open the door. The staff inside is new and the attitudes are muched improved. They worked on the vehicles that day and both were returned that day. Paul in service called many times and gave updates and time frames through out the day which was much appreciated. It allowed me to plan work knowing when the trucks would be returned and could be put back in service. When we arrived to pick them up Paul explained exactly what was done it great detail. There even bring your vehicle to the door for you. Many thanks to the new flood ford service Paul M More
