Because of the shortage of the cars the pandemic created, getting the dealer's build meant getting the car sooner than had we put in a custom order. It also meant saving us money. The first time Marvin and I met in person to discuss the car we wanted, Mercedes (the manufacturer) increased the MSRP of the car (again, due to the shortage of cars and computer chips created by the pandemic). Because the dealer's build was based on the old MSRP, Marvin worked on the pricing with us using the old MSRP.
