About 6 months ago, I bought one of the latest and most expensive Mercedes models from Fletcher Jones, Jamboree Rd, Newport Beach. Yesterday, I needed road assistance while driving home from a trip. I got stuck for 8 hours at the side of a very high trafficked freeway in extreme heat with a sick passenger onboard. Mercedes Road assistance service kept bouncing me around for hours, while we had no water or access to anything in the middle of nowhere. I am already paying monthly for these services but after 8 hours of waiting, I ended up calling emergency highway patrol and they called for a tow truck for me. I ended up paying almost $800 out of pocket for a 10-minute tow ride. The Tow truck driver that is contracted with Highway patrol told me that I am not the only one and that Mercedes customer service is awful. A trip that normally takes about 6-7 hours took me about 19 hours. Once I reached out to Fletcher Jones in Jamboree, where I bought the car, they were insensitive and rude and showed no empathy. I was still much shaken from all that had happened and hadn't slept for almost 24 hours. They told me that they only sell the product and have no responsibility for what happened. They referred me to a general customer assistance center for Mercedes Benz. Instead of taking care of my current situation, they tried to sell me another car. My response was that I would return this one if I could and that I would NEVER EVER go back there to purchase another car. My sick passenger has neurological disorder. Heat, stressful situations and no access to medicine and bathroom, worsen his health condition substantially and can lead to life threatening situations. I explained this to the road assistance services when I called them several times. I also brought this up when I went to Fletcher Jones with my complaint. Their only response was that they were sorry for what happened, but they only sell the cars and have no responsibility for what happened. In the past, I used my other cars, Toyota, Nissan, and Mazda for the same trip many times and never had any issues. This time because I had a sick passenger, I thought I would take the safer car "The Mercedes" that I pay for better service, but it turned to a NIGHTNARE, and the worst part was how I was treated when I went to seek help at my dealership (Fletcher Jones, Jamboree). Bob Evans, Guest Experience Director was very rude, arrogant and gave me Mercedes contact number that doesn't work (wrong information). The Sales manager, Scott Ribble was even worse and told me that all he could is to sell me another car. He also lied that he would call Mercedes on my behalf and call me back with an answer before end of day. It has been almost a week and he has not called me back yet. Due to all these stress and dehydration, I ended up taking my sick passenger to an emergency visit with his Cardiologist and he is still undergoing observation and heart monitoring. Unfortunately the lowest rating option is 1*. My choice would have been -* (VERY POOR), if that option existed. I wish nobody get to experience what I went through last Sunday, 7/14/24 and want to share my experience with potential buyers. More

Car broke down on a desolate road at 7:00 am 2 weeks after I purchased it (after I drove it just 250 miles). The car , without warning, shut down and wheels locked up. Frightening, to say the least. Car towed to Oxnard Mercedes where it has sat for the past 13 days. Management from both dealers blaming one another for lack of service. In the meantime, I do not have my "new" car. Lots of apologies from Fletcher Jones. I have made over 30 phone calls, and multiple emails to include the Newport Beach General Manager. No response from him. His admin assistant called me today but ended up arguing with me. Still no call from MB USA. Disappointing service would be an understatement. I believe i may have been sold a "lemon". More

They ask you to take Uber up to $20 round trip !!the cheapest fare and supposedly you walk or sit home for rest of repair time? Air port time got limited! Car wash by long waits appointment! Really? If you got too busy can’t have loaner, car wash and Airport limitation is because we bought and you sold more and more $$$$$ for dealership. Staff got rude too. Down the hill 👎 More

Also ped Edro, was very knowledgeable in demonstrating me all the features that my new vehicle has. The great service and attention to detail that I received from everyone at Fletcher Jones truly demonstrated how much they value their customers. I have purchased vehicles from other dealerships and I’ve never had such a great experience like I did here at Fletcher Jones. I definitely recommend Fletcher Jones to anyone who is looking to receive quality service at a fair price. More

I purchased a vehicle that was advertised as being in excellent condition, but it quickly became apparent that this was far from the truth. Firstly, the dealership assured me that the car had a clean history with no accidents. However, after not being able to charge the car we discovered that the car had been excluded from charging due to it having a junk title. I discovered that the vehicle had been issued a junk/salvage title after our purchase. The vehicle history report I obtained independently confirmed. When I spoke to management, they were unhelpful and dismissive, making the entire experience even more frustrating. Overall, my experience with Fletcher Jones MB has been nothing short of a nightmare. I feel deceived and taken advantage of. I strongly advise others to avoid this dealership and look elsewhere for an honest and reliable car-buying experience. More

Will not return calls and good luck trying to talk to somebody in charge. They also are very slick but the details matter and they will not honor agreements even if in writing. Truly awful like pulling teeth. Lots of options in the LA area. Don’t let the inventory and bling get you take your business elsewhere. More
