I brought my 2021 Mercedes GLC 300 into the dealership to be repaired for a faulty hard drive.The hard drive was replaced which resolved the original problem but I have rated this experience with only 2 star be repaired for a faulty hard drive.The hard drive was replaced which resolved the original problem but I have rated this experience with only 2 stars for the following reasons: 1. The service department should have reprogrammed the mileage setting to miles instead of kilometers and the time zone to Eastern Standard Time instead of Greenwich Mean Time. I tried to correct these settings myself but was unable to figure it out. I called the service advisor, Alfred, for help. He told me it was very easy and gave me instructions on how to do it. He also said he would try to get his roadside assistance person to come to my house to help me. I followed his instructions on how to reset the dashboard but it didn't work. I called my son who is a computer specialist to help me. He figured it out. The instructions Alfred had given me were not correct. I am very disappointed that Alfred never called me back to follow up. Also, the service department should have made sure that all settings were restored to the customer's original settings before returning the car. 2. The dealership is supposed to wash and vacuum the car after the service is completed. This was not done on my car even though there was a notation on the bottom on the service receipt that said "vehicle sent to wash and vacuum". They returned the car to me with a note scrawled in the dirt of the rear windshield that said "waiter" which I assume meant I was waiting for the car to be serviced. They had the car overnight and had plenty of time to clean it before I picked it up. 3. The mask wearing at this dealership is sloppy at best. Some employees had no masks on, some wore them below their noses or chins. More
