When we arrived at the dealership, Keith immediately met and greeted us with a smile. He escorted us into the showroom where we met Jake, who was very professional and knowledgeable of the different makes and greeted us with a smile. Jake drove us around to the overflow lot as well and gave us information about each model. Great selection of vehicles. We test drove the vehicle we wanted. The financing with Ryan went smoothly as well. A great experience. We purchased the car on Saturday. Ryan called us on Monday and so did Keith to make sure everything was going well. I ‘m 21-year retired Army Sergeant First Class that needed a more comfortable vehicle for my bad back. My wife and I saved up money to be able to pay cash for a Van. We found 2015 Nissan Quest on a thi needed a more comfortable vehicle for my bad back. My wife and I saved up money to be able to pay cash for a Van. We found 2015 Nissan Quest on a third-party website for Five Star Hyundai of Macon that is 2 hours away from Phenix City, AL. I was given an out the door price that appeared to be higher than expected. I talked to the Sales manager Keith about the price and he stated that he was collecting taxes for Alabama. As an Army Soldier I have purchased many vehicles in different states and have never had any dealerships collect taxes for another state. I asked the dealership if I paid them could they deliver to me. I was told no they could not but I could pay a third party to deliver the van. During this search for a vehicle, I had dealerships in Atlanta GA, Enterprise, AL, and Tennessee that agreed to deliver the vehicle free of charge. However, my wife liked the Quest over the Town and Country. So, we drove to Five Star Hyundai of Macon for this van with a cashiers check for over 12,000. The salesman John was very helpful and polite. They over estimated Alabama taxes required but promised to send me a refund check because I paid with a cashier’s check. I have not received any money yet. The Quest had a DVD player that could not operate because the remote was missing. The sales manager agreed to order a remote and he give us a WE OWE- Delivery confirmation sheet. I started calling the salesman a week later for an update on the remote. He would tell me that Keith the Sales manager was working on it. I later start calling Keith the sales manger and he stated he was going to order the remote on 2 Jan 2024 and talk to accounting about the tax money. Keith did send me the remote and refund as promised . More
